Seriously how are these not already on Switch?Announce Persona Dancing for Switch cowards
Yes, all 3 of them for 30€.Announce Persona Dancing for Switch cowards
Well, it depends on the game. I mean hell, Pikmin 3 Deluxe and DKC Tropical Freeze New Funky Mode Edition are sub-720p in portable mode after all.Well it is a PS3 game so I'd be surprised if it ran below 720p in handheld mode, unless the team behind it wasn't given enough time and resources
Keep your eyes peeled, for more Persona, on Nintendo Switch!Seriously how are these not already on Switch?
I will pay $70 USD plus tax for each.Yes, all 3 of them for 30€.
I’m hoping it runs well on the Switch, because I’d be way more likely to play through the entire game on Switch than PS5.
I'd be very surprised if this one doesn't run at a pretty stable 30 fps, tbh. The thing I'm more curious about is whether it'll be native res (720p) or lower (600p maybe?) when undocked.
If they're using the PS4 build as their base (which I assume they are), it will definitely not run at native resolution in handheld mode.Well it is a PS3 game so I'd be surprised if it ran below 720p in handheld mode, unless the team behind it wasn't given enough time and resources
There is that, albeit I do remember there being split screen co-op added for Pikmin 3, correct me if I'm wrongWell, it depends on the game. I mean hell, Pikmin 3 Deluxe and DKC Tropical Freeze New Funky Mode Edition are sub-720p in portable mode after all.
Would that make that much of a difference? I mean, haven't we seen, for example, remasters of PS3/360 stuff that were on PS4/XB1 come to Switch and just be fine?If they're using the PS4 build as their base (which I assume they are), it will definitely not run at native resolution in handheld mode.
EDIT: god damn it, double post
It's a case by case thing. There are demanding PS4 games that seem to perplexingly run better on Switch (Alien Isolation, 13 Sentinels), then there are seemingly straightforward PS4 games that run bafflingly bad on Switch (Bloodstained the most notorious example).Would that make that much of a difference? I mean, haven't we seen, for example, remasters of PS3/360 stuff that were on PS4/XB1 come to Switch and just be fine?
Yeah, but the Vita is clearly more powerful than a Switch, so...and Vita lol
I mean... correct me if I'm wrong but apparently the Vita port was actually really decent lol.Yeah, but the Vita is clearly more powerful than a Switch, so...
(jooooking, folks!)
Given that Catherine FB stayed JP only on Vita at least, I've never had any hands-on experience with it myself. From what I've seen and read online, though, it did seem to be a very competent port, yeah. Not like Atlus don't know how to make technically good handheld games (at least with their own engine tech and such).I mean... correct me if I'm wrong but apparently the Vita port was actually really decent lol.
I’d consider double dipping on these if they released ‘Last Dance’ versions or something that included all DLC. I’d wait for a sale…but I’d definitely play them again.Announce Persona Dancing for Switch cowards

And yes, the game will feature Nahobino dancing with Hatsune Miku.
But why would you want worse gamesI'd rather have the P2 Duology on Switch over Dancing lol
But why would you want worse games
Bet you expected an /s, but I was serious
It's animu. Why would PlayStation censor the use of blood of all things? I mean waving my hand at The Last of Us, God of War, etc.
I have no idea, especially considering most of the other awakenings already have blood in them IIRC? Maybe they added it to be more consistent? No clueWhy would PlayStation censor the use of blood of all things? I mean *waving my hand at The Last of Us, God of War, etc.*
I don't think it makes too much sense in this context.
One thing that would prove the argument, though: what's it like in the PS5 version of the game? Blood or no blood?
I don't remember the others too well, but Joker's had for sure, yeah.I have no idea, especially considering most of the other awakenings already have blood in them IIRC? Maybe they added it to be more consistent? No clue
I just double checked and Panther's awakening already had blood in it anyway, after she rips off the mask. So I've got nothing.I don't remember the others too well, but Joker's had for sure, yeah.
I'm finally playing Catherine on Switch in anticipation of P5R. I bought it last summer during a B2G1 sale. I did a play through of it about 11 years ago on PS3 and I remember loving the story but hating the puzzles.

How does it run and such?I'm finally playing Catherine on Switch in anticipation of P5R. I bought it last summer during a B2G1 sale. I did a play through of it about 11 years ago on PS3 and I remember loving the story but hating the puzzles.
It’s perfect, no scalebacks or cutdowns or performance issues of any sort. How does it run and such?
Bodes super well for Persona 5 Royal on Switch, assuming the same dev (Technical Arts) is also behind it.It’s perfect, no scalebacks or cutdowns or performance issues of any sort.
I would not count on it to be honest. Persona 5 isn't a technical masterpiece, but it is a bigger and more intensive game than Catherine by orders of magnitude.Bodes super well for Persona 5 Royal on Switch, assuming the same dev (Technical Arts) is also behind it.
Once again, judging by P4G on the Vita, or the Switch versions for Catherine, 13 Sentinels, or Persona 5 Strikers, I don't think compressed music is something we have anything to worry about.I don't care what graphical compromises they make, I just don't want them to compress the music. The OST is so integral and it needs to pop.
Make sure you listen to the regular soundtrack, you'll mostly be hearing those songs 98% of the time.Speaking of music; I've been listening to Persona 5 Royal's soundtrack out of anticipation. As a newcomer I can say that it sounds really good!

13 sentinels OST was fantastic, I do have the OLED so I am not sure if there is a big difference there.Once again, judging by P4G on the Vita, or the Switch versions for Catherine, 13 Sentinels, or Persona 5 Strikers, I don't think compressed music is something we have anything to worry about.
Yeah. It’s the new stuff. The original soundtrack is so good so listen to that fir sure. Will do! I assume the Royal soundtrack is strictly from the added content?
Yeah, one of the few downsides of the Royal version, not enough Last Surprise.Make sure you listen to the regular soundtrack, you'll mostly be hearing those songs 98% of the time.
You can still get it quite a bit if you do that! And honestly Take Over REALLY grew on me over the course of the game, it's a bopYeah, one of the few downsides of the Royal version, not enough Last Surprise.
I actively avoided doing surprise attacks just to hear it lol.
