So I was thinking, what could Nate have meant when he said that he's drinking Hennessy?

Most people, especially our age, know it from hip hop. However, hundreds if not thousands of hip-hop songs reference Hennessy but there is one specific instance that stuck out to me, namely Mobb Deep's Shook Ones Part II. I do think that releasing content-light games like Strikers Battle League without providing any kind of outline for future content is quite bad. I always admired Nintendo for not going the F2P/live service route but lately they’ve done this (somehow worse) thing of releasing full price games, stripping away content so that the PREVIOUS titles had a lot more and not giving any clue about what we can expect in the future. Not a fan.

Thinking about Prime’s music, I wonder if they’ll touch it for the remaster. Part of me wants them to, part of me doesnt

But y’all, I’m so excited for Prime to renter the public conscious. The HD remaster will force the gaming media to talk about. Like retrospectives on how well it’s aged, and just a general greater appreciation for it is coming. I think it’s really gonna take the series through a renaissance, and it’s so deserved.

It’s gonna feel surreal to see active discussion surrounding it. It feels like ever since I played it in 2014 and it became my GOAT, I’ve been in kind of a bubble despite knowing the game is acclaimed.

I hope the marketing campaign is full of love and appreciation from Nintendo’s end as well. This is a pretty big deal.

Honestly, I'm usually really conservative with remasters of my favorites, but I'd be totally okay with some classy remixes. As long as they keep the main themes and vibes of the original tracks, to me, it's just a high chance for even more fantastic Metroid music.

Still gotta use Uncivilized G'rooves samples though. That's, like, mandatory.

It's almost like ''insiders'' shouldn't be talking about a direct in June for weeks without clarifying if it's a partner direct (mini lol) or a general one like people expected. This Tom guy went the right approach, instantly saying he wasn't sure and then clarified as soon as he found out.

Sucks that Nintendo are deciding to not do anything E3 related this year. (At least they released 1 fantastic game this month lol)

I believe that this whole switch 2 imminent reveal is based on nothing but a full tank of hopium. The likeliest scenario in my opinion is getting a mini direct now focused on third parties with some biggish announcements, and another direct in September with some new first party games and maybe an OLED console Splatoon special edition.

The disappointment will only be bigger now when the internet have been running with the ''insiders confirm direct for June!'' and it ends up being a MINI partners direct lol. Don't do this. Being misled implies intent.

There was a point in time where Nate had reasons to believe it was not a 'mini' - early on he said he would not have categorized it as such. Maybe there was a bit of speculation woven into that comment, but he wouldn't be deliberately duping people. Since then, whatever's happening at the end of the month has become clearer, and his messaging has shifted. It's not that complicated. It's not his fault if a fairly innocuous statement takes on a life of it's own as it crawls the web.

Yes, I'm disappointed at the idea of a Partner mini. But that's on Nintendo, not Nate.
