I agree for General/Mini, but at this point I don't see the reason for a Partner Showcase, so that would be disappointing.

I think if Nintendo is going to bring that back, they'd have something big to announce, like they did with the Monster Hunter Direct. Otherwise these didn't go down all that well. I suppose we'll find out soon what's in store.

Nate hinted at the possibility that the Direct might not be a general Direct and this thread went full-on apocalypse mode.

this pretty much sums the last couple hours...or at least the most recent part.

Yeah, that's about what I expected. Oh well, a bit disappointing since I always reveled in the reassuring feeling when E3 time hits, as that usually meant Nintendo went all-out, but that's life, you don't always get what you yearn for. Not at all. At the end of the day, it's just extended commercials we're eagerly anticipating.

Yeah Mini’s don’t have much, but we do have a good amount of smaller titles rumored, ports and games that need more details that can fit with a Mini like Bayo 3 or WWHD or Mario + Rabbids or Metroid or Mario Kart dlc

That's my thought. A general direct in June less than a year before release of the game sets the expectation of Zelda BotW 2 being there.

Does anyone recall when Mario + Rabbids SoH was shown? Didn’t Imran and Jason Schreier imply that it was new switch hardware we saw?

I’m trying to recollect because if they knew Ubisoft had dev kits they could’ve thought it was going to be shown with new Switch last year. Maybe we get a Mini, but Mario + Rabbids won’t be there because it’s being held for a Switch “Pro” announcement.
