Oh I have no doubts about those really.

But I have to admit, especially with Prime HD, I can’t help feeling drained. But that’s mostly because being a Metroid fan isn’t easy and every scrap of hope will be cherished like Gollum cares for the one ring.

I really hope Prime HD gets announced, for my sanity.

Heck, assuming Zelda is still early 2023 (I'm betting on March), the start of 2023 is already crowded based on that game alone. It will be very interesting to see how Nintendo manages the release of all of these games.

And of course there is still Advance Wars out there.....

Hi guys 😉

I know I previously stated that the Direct would be this week but I can now independently confirm through my sources that the Direct will be June 28th or 29th.

Keep the faith everyone ! Until next time 😉

By the way, shoutout to the 23 people who voted "Nintendo will be weird again, early July". You clearly have the finger on the pulse, haha.

I'm excited to know more about this new Fire Emblem project. Three Houses was awesome. I wonder what kind of impact will it have on the future of the series

Yeah, the September Direct being a fixed feature is an important factor to remember. We're only going to see a small fraction of what Nintendo are working on later this month, but we'll see more in a few months.

Are people really doubting that a new Fire Emblem is coming soon? It’s so obvious. What’s next, acting shocked that they’re working on a new Mario game? Of course it’s coming in the near future. We get one every few years and have for a long time now.

I am probably reading too much into this, but are you insinuating that BotW2 will be done much earlier than it will be released and Nintendo isn't releasing it because of strategic reasons?

i am a firm believer that Nintendo is holding onto BotW2 until they have more powerful hardware to release alongside of it. A Switch successor needs BotW 2 at launch a hell of a lot more than Switch needs it as a fall game in its sixth year. They will not make the same mistake of not having a huge hardcore game at launch again (Wii and Switch having Zelda, Wii U not having Zelda).

Uh, no. Nobody is acting like that. People are wondering if it gets announced now, or further down the line. The next set of Nintendo announcements will only be 3 months down the line after all.

I'm still thinking Zelda is at this Direct. That game is massive, they will need time to show it off. I think Zelda will sustain a longer marketing campaign than most Nintendo games. We have every reason to believe it will be one of their biggest games ever (in terms of scope), right?

is the Fire Emblem you know of a remake (like for FE4 as many others have indicated?) Or is it something new? Understand if you can't answer-- thanks for coming and sharing your perspective!

The FE game I know about is a "new" game, not a remake. I'll share some details tomorrow.

This will sound crazy, but Nintendo could've been juggling as many as three Fire Emblem projects: A new game, a remake, and the spinoff (FE Warriors: Three Hopes).

But again, I don't know anything about this rumored remake. I only have information on the new FE game.

I forgot that it hasn't featured at a Direct since last June, so I think the odds of it appearing are fairly high.

I'm still doubting we get Zelda ports before Breath of the Wild 2, though.

But they specifically dated BotW2 for Spring. Do we really think there will be new hardware in Spring 2023? I still doubt it.

I look forward to it. I remember back in January 2017 when they announced Warriors, Shadows of Valentina, Heroes and the game that became 3 Houses. Doesn't seem so strange to have a bunch of games in development like that. I'm a big fan of the series so I'm happy to see it so active.

It is rumoured to come out this fiscal year. Yes, it's a big deal. We don't get a new Fire Emblem or 3D Mario every year.

The main reason that I still cling onto WW/TP as a possibility this year is that Nintendo likes to have something Zelda released every year. If not those games, does Link sit out this year?

Yeah, this one still confuses me. I really ruled out June 29th because of the investor's meeting-

Oh...well, do they plan on having investors sit in live for their reactions and have questions immediately answered after the fact?
Someone mentioned it earlier, but the new Minions movie comes out on June 30th. Same production studio as the Mario movie. It may purposely be on the 29th so they can reveal the Mario trailer in a direct first before it is shown during the Minions movie later that evening.

Thanks! And yeah, I have no reason to doubt Nate's intel that there's a remake alongside a new game... Sounds like a busy time for both IntSys and Koei Tecmo right about now, hahaha

The mobile game has probably hit a billion dollars already. Maybe they’re are looking to have it also be a multimedia IP. Anime or whatnot.

My bet on FE is late january

A casual game like Everybody’s 1 2 Switch could get a very good benefit by releasing in early december. Thus, considering reception will probably not be very good.

Nintendo needs new FE games to make new FE characters in Heroes so they can make swimsuit versions of those characters. That's where the real money lies.

I should share the date to make people here feel joy? No.

I sat on the date because it can put partners in jeopardy. My contacts are more important that the small community of never satisfied, constantly angry, pessimistic folks that gather here. If someone else happens to leak the date, I can then confirm the date since the information is out there. There's nothing to protect.

Look at how many latched on to June 15 for the Direct. Did I? Nope. Why? Because it was never that date. If this window was wrong, then, I would have said it didn't match what I was hearing, too.

I've implied "late June" since May.

This forum has had members attack myself and Emily. Do you think we can't just leave or stopped sharing? Test us. You'll lose.

This is not that serious. If you hate doing it, just stop. It sounds like this is starting to effect your mental health and thats not worth it.

I figure if the new game is spring 2023 - and especially early spring - Nintendo don't really need another Zelda product out 4 to 6 months before that. Especially not when the production cycle for the open world games is sitting at a solid 5 to 6 years; hold remasters back to fill that gap.

I'm all for finally seeing a trailer for the Mario movie, but I hope it's something that's not necessarily part of the Direct and more of a "Please stick around after the show for this trailer".

A Direct isn't for Pokemon TCG, nor investor stats, nor movie trailers. Just give me 42 minutes of games that I want to play and let me believe in some impossible ports and games finally fulfilling dreams and wishes I've long held without realizing what they were.

Where will you share the details?

They announced the voice cast in a Direct, they are 100% going to drop the first trailer in a direct.

Nate Said several months ago that Two Fire Emblem were in the works, a brand New game and a remake of Genealogy of the Holy War. After FE Three Hopes was announced, he was totally honest saying that Three Hopes was a curve ball he wasn't aware of, but reaffirmed the existence of the other two projects. In early February he Said FE GotHW Is scheduled as a 2023 release, internally.

Nope. It was the next to last announcement during a mainline direct last fall.
I really hope my old man grumbling now will amount to naught, but Nintendo better have knocked it out of the park well before the trailer is shown if godforbid it's their "one last announcement"

God, an anime (or better yet, multiple separate anime seasons covering multiple games) would be so freaking cool. I'd love to see a super dark FE4 anime to coincide with the remake of it if/when it happens. Maybe a Three Houses anime could be split into two parts—part one being more of a slice of life show, with part two taking a dark turn with the war. There could be some really good, emotional moments if done right! I'd love to see some more manga adaptations, too. Ones that are actually released outside of Japan lol. I'd love to see all the cool merch Japan constantly gets (like that 3H teaset) released outside of Japan too!

Damn, the FE IP has so much potential
If done right, FE17 could end up selling like, 6m+ 👀

Are you really saying Nate is sounding mentally unwell because he showed some emotion?

yup both Nate and Emily are consistent with the remake being a full IS project(though Nate has said its FE4 and Emily doesn't know more)
where they differ is the team making the new game(emily says IS+Gust helping on visuals and Nate says its the TH team) either way we should know more about the new game either at the direct this month, or the fall direct at the latest)
Looking forward to some new details from Emily tomorrow to see what she says about the new title and if it matches Nate despite them disagreeing on the devs

I don't know any details about the FE remake, or what team(s) are involved with that project.

I only know information about the "New" FE game.

Well, FE Is probably a wild Beast to tackle for a journalist or an industry insider, lot of mixed information hard to dechiper. This Is the reason why I'm particullary grateful to Nate and Emily for sharing their insights. We shall wait and see.

Luís Figo confirmed as Battle League DLC? I am not sure how I feel about that.

It's wild that there hasn't been a fire emblem anime in so long, there was a 2 episode ova in the 90s, but nothing since.
