Nintendo sometimes accidentally leaks their own games. They did it with Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which didn’t catch people as surprised when they saw it in September. They did the same with Bayonetta 3 so people knew it would be in the direct. Mario + Rabbids SoH was up on their website before the announcement lol

I'd forgotten that they accidentally leaked the Rabbids sequel. Huh. Nothing leaked ahead of February's event from Nintendo, so maybe they've learnt their lesson...

Also title "Yoshi's Crafted World' was leaked by them, and maybe a lot of other things too. The things is all of these were leaked on Nintendo Store.

SMTV was also leaked.

Also, they leaked the demo of Age of Calamity and that they would do a Partner Showcase with Bravely Default 2 (because they put the “preorder” banner on the game on the eshop before giving the date or something like that, and the same day they did the partner showcase with the release date)

I refuse to get myself hyped on Banjo (again).

If MVG has talked to people about Banjo, I believe that. I wonder if Moon Studios got to make their proposal.

If anything happens, it’ll be a full art-asset remake of 1 before anything else. And if it’s not even coming out this year, I actually wonder if that ship has already sailed.

There was also that whole Galaga medley thing that was actually Castlevania music or something? Basically leaking the inclusion of Castlevania in Smash.

Yoshi is kind of understandable, since the Direct was delayed and everything happened quite quickly maybe they didn't have time to update the store/think of it?
 
I've said this before, but I love how chaotic this "e3" season is. Reminds me of the old days that I didn't even grow up in. Which us why I think nintendo might actually be part of SGF. Like I dunno, Summer Games Fest 2021 - Nintendo Direct. What else would explain the amount of huge Pokemon leak and the vague BOTW2 info like New Game Plus.

Presentations where all four platforms are supposed to be featured (Geoff shit): No Switch announcements whatsoever

Platform specific presentations (Inside Xbox, State of Play): Plenty of Switch announcements

We got three big Switch reveals in the last State of Play, for heaven's sake.

I kinda wonder if Geoff and Doug have some.. like.. unfriendliness towards each other or something.

Cuz once Reggie was gone it seemed like a really sudden and clean break.

I know it's trendy to hate on Geoff, but there were literally no Switch announcements in the last State of Play while SGF had release dates for a couple Switch games.

Edit: I see Eternights is apparently hitting Switch later so that's one.
 
This upcoming Xbox showcase is making the wait for the Direct a bit better. Im hoping Banjo comes to Switch if its shown today. I dont even have an Xbox yet lol.

I saw that type of talk from a few ERA members in the Banjo thread. Didn't even say it would show today. Just that the project exists (it does) but no one will acknowledge the note saying, "can be announced later". It's now or never for them.

We gave predictions & somehow predictions will be treated as leaks, though Banjo is the only thing we outright acknowledge as being based on hearing or having information to suggest a project exists.

The Xbox and Banjo threads on Era were exactly what prompted my post here. Pretty wild.

I'm hoping on a wing and a prayer that Banjo is shown today, but it's exciting enough to have inside information that something Banjo is coming - regardless of whether it's shown off today or a year from now. Banjo fans should be used to waiting at this point.

Just as an example: if Avowed is missing... will Jez or Grubb be hated on ERA? They expected it there.

Even worse, instead of getting no news, we got bad news for Switch at the Geoff's thing last week: Midnight Suns delayed. You must be onto something here.

We got news on Tunic releasing on Playstation, Switch version should get released on same day. Didn't get Switch version news as the devs could be contracted to Nintendo to make the announcement elsewhere, likely in the upcoming August Indie World.

Rumors were true, Hollow Knight second announcement on xbox

Game Pass naturally no release date lmao maybe that’s waiting for nintendo and they split the announcement

EDIT: they said all games shown within 12 months, so there’s something for ya
