All they have to do is show BOTW2 and it's gonna be better than Geoff's whole thing.

Except maybe Calisto Protocol. That looked damn good.

They could just show another Story Trailer for Xenoblade 3 and would be better.

Yeah, I could hear someone at Nintendo going:

"OK, these developers are slightly controversial and might say something outside of our corporate interests. Get Bowser in to give a marketing description of the game."
Or limit international travel because of an on-going pandemic?

They were definitely there sitting next to Bowser.
I didn't watch it. I usually just catch up with potential announcements afterwards. That's weird. I thought with international travel being essentially banned in some countries, they wouldn't be able to attend or something. But it's not like the show itself does a good job highlighting devs, what with some awards being handed out outside the show or something.

Isn't it always nice how Nintendo doesn't seem to give a shit that with more warning comes more people being able to book off time to actually watch their commercial-a-thon? The people diehard/insane enough to move their schedule around for a procession of trailers you can just watch at any time afterwards anyway?

Nah, fuck em. If you can't turn your next 48 hrs around on a dime, I guess you aren't a true fan.
Or Nintendo going after that unemployed market. :p

Fr, one thing I always appreciated about the June show was it was the one you actually got a decent heads up about. Freed from the umbrella of E3, Nintendo seems to be back to Nintendo-ing.

That's assuming the Direct will happen in the next few days

Ehhh depends? In JST they always slots at the early morning just in time for watching while went to work/school

Man I tought..... Summer Game Fest could be decent... but damn what a letdown, now only a Zelda BotW2 Reveal could Save this Non-E3 Year, I'm so clad E3 is returning for next year.

SGF was a little meh (at least for me).

But I have faith in Microsoft conference.

Regarding Nintendo, next week always made sense but well, its apparently the other week (22/23th?). But don’t discard an announcement with a week of anticipation (including treehouse segment).

Neon White had a Direct announcement over a year ago, and a gameplay trailer 10 months ago via Twitter/YouTube. I didn’t think it was all that big of a game? Feels weird for it to get yet another headline in a Direct.

Aged well I guess

Damn... if there's one thing this year (and 2020) have taught us, it's that E3 is NOT dead or "useless" lol. Good thing it's coming back next year.

Could you imagine if E3 was a thing this year...? We would probably already know the date of the Direct and none of this insanity would be happening lmao!

Damn. What did Geoff do to Nintendo that wants nothing near him lol.
I think Nintendo started avoiding those shows since they don't gain that much from being on them. What's the point of telling your audience to watch a show where 90% of games are not coming to Switch just for 1 trailer of a Switch exclusive? Doesn't seem worth it really.

I'm going to log off and probably not return until a Direct is actually announced because this constant back & forth is getting annoying.

This is not a dig at Nate or anyone else here, just a personal feeling of mine

If they had told us when they direct was I’d have no problem waiting, but if it’s really the last week of June it’s just obnoxious to let E3 time pass by without saying anything.

Having lots of excitement then nothing to do with it is painful, especially as I have COVID and am pretty much confined to the house

Edit: they being Nintendo and not Nate of course, though obviously I wish Nate could tell us I understand why he cant.

Gaben: "Come on Nintendo, the other two have given me their games. It's your turn. You know you want it. Come to me. Come to me..."

Nintendo: "Dude YOU are giving me games this year, not me. What are you talking about..."
What game has xbox given?

I mean first party/exclusive, I don’t think they have shown any on SFG? I thought they were reserving if for their own event like Nintendo is doing
Oh lol. Seems you were mistaken :p

9-Volt was referring to games coming to Steam, with Gaben (Gabe Newell) saying "Come on Nintendo give me your games." Microsoft's putting all their games on Steam now, and all of Sony's PC games have gotten Steam releases.

Well, close enough that a different company would've given notice by now. Even last year we already knew at this point.

If the show is further out than suspected and they do give a decent amount of heads up, I'd be glad to eat my words.

Ehhh depends? In JST they always slots at the early morning just in time for watching while went to work/school
That's alright but it still pales to actually giving people sufficient notice, which is an irregularity with Nintendo.
