FEW trailer has me so excited to get back to Fodlan.

And still doing a little bit of wishing that we got a non-Warriors spin-off in Fodlan...

Same, only reason i played age of calamity was because it had a botw skin
i tried the first FE warriors i got bored during the end game and only enjoyed Age of Calamity because all the misisons were made smaller so it was less drawn out and it seems they went back to bigger maps here.

Even with the botw skin, i had to push myself through the game. It ran horrible.

Team "Announcement today for a Direct next Wednesday w/ treehouse" in shambles, you hate to see it.

Also how great is it to see Fire Emblem story scenes with actual animations instead of characters stood still in front of some random art

I mean I'm pretty sure the next mainline games will be a step up over Three Houses in terms of production values, but it's especially fun seeing the Three Houses cast get this treatment.

Guys the direct is still coming on the 15th, don't start dooming, we literally know lmao

tbt i think i liked the first game better because the emphasis on boss battles. if we got the boss battles like the first game and smaller maps plus a better frame rate would have been the best nintendo warriors

Hopefully that Fire Emblem trailer was released today because they didn’t want to dedicate time in the Direct to a game releasing this month or something.

Waiting for Nintendo to announce the Direct is like waiting for the Spectral Pickle Factory to appear in Kingdom of Loathing: “NONE MAY KNOW THE HOUR OF ITS COMING AND GOING”

Still curious to read what is NateDrake's take on the most recent rumour since there may be a contrast between the more recent rumour and what he heard on his end. Hopefully he'll be able to comment on it.

Madness?

THIS IS SPECULATION

I predict the response will be either "plans change" or "be patient"

Shit, just entered resetera(still visit for news) and saw this "Nintendo Switch Exclusive Is Coming to PC". Almost had a heart attack. It was just Deadly Premonition 2 pc port.

I mean… isn’t it better if they announce it? Like, I don’t care if it releases next year or this one, but if they don’t announce it, it can release in 2024 and that’s a big no for me

yeah I guess that's true, i'm not too worried about that with all the rumors about there being more than one in development and one of them being pretty much done etc though

although who knows if one did come out this year maybe it's possible we get the other one next year anyways so there's that too

What changed in the rumors?
In summary: A guy on Reddit (he wrote that he is a content creator) said 'screw it', and unveiled an embargo on the 15th for Neon White. His email seems credible. He is suggesting that the embargo could mean that the Direct is on the 15th too.

EDIT: I think the Reddit thread got taken down or deleted.

Well Nintendo will never release their games to PC, so there is that.
I expect something like that in the next years. But it it's too soon for me. When they start having a stream platform for first party games I see no reason for not having a PC port. Depending on how they see Sony(late ports) and Microsoft strategy(if it canibalize hardware sales or not) I see them adopting it in the future.

The only "bad" thing about a Direct being on 15th (besides that I actually have to go into the office physically to help with a server refresh that day!) is that it takes place after the Capcom thing on the 13th.

Therefore, any Capcom games that could've possibly been announced at Nintendo's thing (like Rockman Taisen?) won't get another look at Capcom's. Drat.

It’s never about software or hardware sales in Nintendo case when it comes to porting games in other platforms, It’s about brand management.

They want Nintendo games to be an experience you can only get on Nintendo hardware, they want them to be unique and something you can’t get anywhere else if they port the games to PC/Mobile then they lose that trait because you can get these experience on other platforms.

This is the same reason why Nintendo (not Pokemon) mobile games try to be experience only possible on mobile and that they fit Mobile play instead of just porting their old console games or NSO to mobile, it still fits the same formula of software made for a platform and not being able to get that experience outside of it.

If Nintendo at it’s worst avoided even releasing old games on mobile, I don’t see them ever doing while they are in a great financial state only case PC ports are possible are for situation like Nvidia Shield in China and that probably will not happen again now that Nintendo has official presence there.

Yeah at this point there's no Treehouse. Just a June Direct.
If that Reddit post is accurate, the Direct is taking place at the usual E3 time as opposed to the regular Direct broadcast time. That increases the odds of Nintendo having something after the Direct is over, like Treehouse.

I was hoping for the announcement this week, and while I'm not ruling it out I'm going by Nate's "It will come in June" and wait the rest of the month out, seems like the easiest option.

Although I also don't rule out the option of doomposting again in like an hour

Don't want to dwell too much into offtopic territory but I believe that Sony had this same philosophy.
They are experimenting new things.
If they prove that their late PC ports can advertise their brand to a new audience, sell a lot and don't harm their hadware business I see no reason for Nintendo would avoid experimenting with this concept. Usually Nintendo takes some time to implement good ideas of other platform holder but eventually they get there.

If the Direct is not announced this week (which at this point, who knows cause it could be announced at like 6 pm), then I don't think there's anything extra beyond a Direct. I feel like if they had 5+ hours of streamed content to show they'd need to give people more time to know about it.

If it's announced on Monday, then 2 days are enough for Treehouse.

So why have it at that particular time, assuming the leak is accurate? It would mean they're broadcasting at something like 1am in Japan, after all; I feel like they'd need good reason to do that.

Sony is mainly doing this to have funds for their titles like The Last of Us, God of War and Horizon. Those games keep getting bigger and bigger, and cost hundreds of millions of dollars to make. They're games have historically had a roof of around 20 million sales, and even taking into account after a year or two PS4 exclusives were already down to like 40 or 30, sometimes even 20. Taking into account as well that they very often go on sale.

With PC Sony is trying to get a huge market under their wing while doing "minimal effort" to port these games to PC, and reaping huge amounts of profit that they can then further invest into their games.

Nintendo really doesn't have this problem, as I don't think any of their games cost hundreds of millions of dollars to make. Pair that with the fact that their games often reach Sony's usual roofs while never going down in price or almost never going on sale.

why? so they can take time off from work a week in advance?
