In America everyone would just think you're talking about a Chevrolet 😅

Switch pro talk invading this thread noooo😭
While I totally understand this response and the desire to.. uh.. compartmentalize the Pro talk a bit, it'll probably be a legitimate question in Direct speculation for a while because of the assumption that they'll be showing it off at some point soon.
So uh.. buckle up 😅

Ooh nice, we had one of those fall off our hoist years ago. 🤘

So with the State of Play and a Sega thing of some sort, are there now events scheduled for nearly everyone except Nintendo? I guess not Square-Enix but they're supposedly going to be in the other events and not really do their own thing.

I 100% get that the public is accustomed to it, and it would make sense in communicating what it is. And especially after WiiU, Nintendo needs to be able to communicate that this is a big leap, not simply another option. I just think Nintendo wouldn't do a thing that could come across as copying PlayStation's naming convention, is all.

If Ninty MUST still be "quirky" in their own way, then I guess there's always the option for being a bit playful about it.

"Switch Dos". "Switch mk. II". "Switch Second Gear". As long as it has a "2" in it!

There should be DQ news and there is no space for everything DQ related in SoP, and we know we will get news in June. Also Capcom if it does it’s own thing which I have seen rumors (don’t think they are trust worthy though) there is also no date

I just like June being the party month for gaming.

Nate a lot of people here don’t believe you know the date of the direct. They won’t listen to me. We have to punish them by canceling the direct.
Is @Derachi still eating subway routinely? That’s delaying it. Maybe Nate did a calculation based on how many feet of sub derachi is eating to know when the direct is likely to be.

I feel like Nintendo is just gonna do it on June 14th at 9AM PT again.

Also @NateDrake isn't telling us because he requires a blood sacrifice.
so who's down?

(For real though Nate please tell me, I emptied my bank account, I don't even need my family back just tell me the Direct date.)

Maybe switch the 1 and 2
A Direct on the 22/23rd would be a bit disappointing, but it's only a week after we kind of expected it anyway, not a big deal. And I guess it lets Nintendo go after everyone else, like they usually like to do. Plus we're likely to get some Switch announcements in the Summer Game Fest and even in other shows via multiplats, so it's not like there will be a lack of news in June.

I think it’ll give us a nice balance of news throughout June. Like I get wanting everything the same week or 2. It’s more fun having it condensed. But if we have to wait one more week it’s really not that bad. We’ve waited this long already.

I ate a fine Subway product (albeit leftovers) not an hour ago!!!!!!

Keep waiting, you fools!!!!
Hmmm you had a "fine" Subway product? Must have been a cookie, that's the only thing they sell I'd call "fine".

Unless different franchises sell coca cola brand soda and not Pepsi. Then the soda is fine too.

It actually was a cookie!!!!! My girlfriend and I ordered Subway a few nights ago and got half a dozen cookies with it (oddly cheaper than just getting 4) so we’ve been picking at them over the past day or so.

Subway is good though!!!! Come on!!!!

Subway will do if you're hungry specifically for a sandwich and there's really very limited options.

But I wouldn't really call it good. Passable I guess.

Good cookies though!

If new hardware is somewhat imminent(i.e. this FY), that's probably going to impact their direct scheduling this year and what they are willing to show. Presumably some things are not going to be shown until they are ready to show the hardware, so they could skip June altogether and just do a big direct later this year. June, July, and September are already mapped out release wise, so they could easily hold out if they want.

Grubb mentioning they may just do "partner" directs again this summer kind of lends credence to the above.

Yeah at this point the only question regarding a Pokémon SV special edition switch is if it's regular, OLED or Lite model.

Subway cookies slap, not gonna lie.

Do you know what I like about Subway? I hate to make this any kind of ANNOUNCEMENT but you can get sandwiches in either 6/12 inch lengths. If you have any leftovers, I find you can put it DIRECTly in the fridge and eat it up to TWO DAYS LATER.
