Imagine a world where our NES GBA release was as cool as the famicom minis
Looks like Astral Chain. This Nintendo patent filed last week (although it only just appeared) seems intersting. Anyone guess what game it's for? Looks like Mario meets Luigi's Mansion meets Zelda looking at the drawings.
Drawings look a lot like Astral Chain. There’s actually two moves just like it in the game. This Nintendo patent filed last week (although it only just appeared) seems intersting. Anyone guess what game it's for? Looks like Mario meets Luigi's Mansion meets Zelda looking at the drawings.
Looks like Astral Chain.
True, forgot about astral chain.Drawings look a lot like Astral Chain. There’s actually two moves just like it in the game.
Everybody Switch, calling it nowThis Nintendo patent filed last week (although it only just appeared) seems intersting. Anyone guess what game it's for? Looks like Mario meets Luigi's Mansion meets Zelda looking at the drawings.

My only experience with Suikoden is Suikoden V, but I really enjoyed it. Quick and fun battle system with like six characters at once (I think?), interesting tactical mini game and duel mini game, and the big draw: 101 recruitable characters ranging from farmers to baddasses to animal-people and chefs and everything in-between. Plus your own home base for them all to mingle and hang out in. Almost Pokémon-like where you get so many people and find out who’s good in combat, who has good magic, weird strategies, etcI’m interested in Eiyuden Chronicle. Never did play Suikoden but I have been listening to a Water Margin podcast. Good thing it’s coming to Switch or I probably would have skipped it though.
Looks like Astral Chain.
Yep. Takahisa Taura, Kaori Ando, and Makoto Okazaki are the game's directors.Drawings look a lot like Astral Chain. There’s actually two moves just like it in the game.
What do you call the audio version of a shitpost, because I have created it
@Suswave I feel like you'd appreciate this. I was staring into the shitpost abyss and this is what I heard slowly fading into my ears
oh HELL yeah! the shitpost abyss has spoken through you!!
I’m not super familiar with Slipknot but this mashup slaps hard. Did you bump the chaining together at the end or is it perceptual? either way hell fucking yeah
I think audio shitposts are just shitposts, and they’re one of my favorite mediums by far
my masterpiece:
a recent nightmare in a similar vein:
something burrowed deep into the fabric of my mind (warning: more gratuitous gun sounds than I remember, possibly in bad taste given the horrific and disheartening news):
some more wild shit to feed the abyss:
In my headcanon Bill Trinen is a user here and regularly sends screenshots of our shitposts to Reggie. This is what would happen if Nintendo stopped by Famiboards.
Well it also perked my ears when I read the news because they were the first team to openly, definitively say "our game is coming to Nintendo's next generation," and that combined with them going "ope, now it's coming to Switch after all" makes it lean too easily into the already-spreading belief that the "next Nintendo" and "the Switch" are going to sandwich together in the way @Derachi illustrated.i don't see how them making the game for switch says anything about nintendo's hardware plans they first thought they couldn't run it on the system, but now realize they can (also they probably realized they need the switch sales in order to make the game successful).
I was having an online meeting with my former colleagues from HAL Laboratory.
It's been almost 20 years since I left HAL, but the relationship and the vibe have not changed at all, as if we were still meeting yesterday.
It was interesting.
That's the DeepL translation. The twitter one says "it was fun" instead, so I dunno.Maybe just the translation but why does it sound so ominous lmao
It could be for anything, really. I don't think Nintendo would let him say anything if they were discussing a project. Is Sakurai going to work with HAL again?!
HEY!!!! Good to see you again, dude!Hey, folks - checking in. Everyone alright in here? Any rumors about a potential June Direct?
@chocolate_supra, did you finish Chrono Cross and see the new text at the end?
Hey reconceptualize, good to see you. No solid rumors yet, just the regular timing logic.Hey, folks - checking in. Everyone alright in here? Any rumors about a potential June Direct?
@chocolate_supra, did you finish Chrono Cross and see the new text at the end?
Astral Chain 2 would be awesome.
Fils-Aime’s answer was not a ringing endorsement of unions, with the former exec saying they aren’t good or bad, just a situation to be dealt with. But he did add that companies should embrace unionization if their employees want it.
Taking the bold, middle-ground stance. At least it can be spun more positively than other upper level execs have been handling it currently“As a leader, you need to look hard,” said Fils-Aime, “And if this is what your employees want, you need to address that and embrace it, and move forward.”
Then, oddly, he seemed to shift his opinion mid-answer, saying that unionization isn’t a “good or bad thing.”
“I’ve worked in industries that have had high levels of unionization,” explained Fils-Aimé. “This is not a good or bad thing. It is a situation that as a leader, as an executive, you need to manage just like any other challenge, issue, or opportunity that you face.”
yeah something ive noticed about Reggie lately is he says a whole lot that means nothing lolReggie Fils-Aime: Companies Need To ‘Embrace’ Unions If That’s What Employees Want

I think Konami is right now having a moment of "OMG just too many legacy stuff to make collections of! I can't decide which one to start with!".On that note, hey Konami, Suikoden collection when? Or at the least maybe put them on this new PS+ thing? Thanks
I mean, he's not on the Nintendo payroll anymore. He doesn't have to spin non-answers like this anymore when he's free to speak his mind hahayeah something ive noticed about Reggie lately is he says a whole lot that means nothing lol
Yea, USA took the L on this one.
Insert the astronaut meme. He's always been like thatyeah something ive noticed about Reggie lately is he says a whole lot that means nothing lol
They're getting it out of the way now so when they announce new products they can brush it under the rug.Gaming news lately seems to be lot more misses then hits.
It’s like waiting for the next idiotic move.
The sad thing is it seems like a 3rd DKC wasn't even in the cards over at Retro. With them now on Prime 4 duty and EPD possibly doing their own new take on the IP, we unfortunately won't be seeing a new Country title in a long, long time.It makes me super sad that we probably won't be getting the sequel to the greatest platformer ever made: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.
We need an end to the trilogy starring the Kremlings.
Portal is absolutely gonna be an “after the show” thing in June. I’ll bet a FamiGold on itStill waiting for dates for;
Portal Collection
Tomb Raider isometric games
Man, I'm still waiting on that TMNT collection date!Still waiting for dates for;
Portal Collection
Tomb Raider isometric games
they usually don’t directly after tragediesNOA has not tweeted today right?
So happy that I'm not the only person here begging for re-release of the Konami Tiny Toons gamesI think Konami is right now having a moment of "OMG just too many legacy stuff to make collections of! I can't decide which one to start with!".
Logical choice would be "Tiny Toon Adventures Acme-tastic Collection".
Yeah today would not be the day for a family-oriented company to be going "Now look over here at our video games guys!!!"they usually don’t directly after tragedies
