I think that's part of it, yeah. Everyone is really feeling the amount of delays and slow buildup to (hopefully) June news time. It's really bringing out the trolls and console warring even more than usual.

Can anyone recommend some good lengthy video essays or similar to watch whilst I build this Lego 'Sony's Horizon Forbidden West' set? Preferably something a bit light-hearted :p

(I know the set's not Nintendo but it's not my fault that Nintendo Lego peaked with that NES Set)

I mean, I'm interested in 40K but know nothing about it. Love the dystopian far future thing in it. Luetin does a great job of explaining aspects in his video's of the 40K universe companied with imagery so you only have to listen.

Edit: lol, missed the "light hearted"-part 😂

Thanks but, yeah, 40K is a bit grim for me right now lol. Might put that on in the background whilst I play some CoD or something! :)

should i turn on casual mode in xenoblaDE? i've played the game without it for like 75 hours, but after the mechonis core stuff the quests are waaaay too hard. all monsters jumped up 15, 20 levels.

Don't ruin your experience with tedious grinding, go for casual mode and enjoy the rest of the game with it!

that's probably a good idea.
lol, i go for easy mode in a lot of games, sucks that the one time that i didn't i'm not gonna finish the game that way.

SMTV is fun.. but the first three areas being the same with different color schemes ?? it's a bit boring

Wish they had casual mode in the New 3DS version. I'm very close to the end but I will never finish the game because I don't even come close to killing the boss I'm stuck at. But whatever I'll just watch the rest of the story on youtube.

Sigh, N64 controller tracking info hasn’t been updated since Tuesday morning. And it’s UPS mail innovations which means usps delivers which means I have to tack on an extra days delay even when it does reach town. Guess I’m booting up Kirby without it

Just finished my second Dread playthrough <3 Chef's kiss. Don't know what i'll do next... pull SMTV out of my backlog or double dip on GAA, probably

Oooo just realized, Kirby 64 is a d pad game with minimal C button use, I could totally play it with my Snes controller

I'm going to have coffee and read some more of a book I like, get half my cleaning and laundry done (gotta pace yourself if you're a spoonie), watch some sports, make a nice big chorizo crumb penne pasta bake so I've got yet more homemade food easily available in the freezer for my bad days, and play more Mass Effect.

I'm gonna be pasta'ing, too! Got a triple birthday party coming up this evening and it's been literal years since I've cooked for a group so I'm gonna bust out my cajun mac and cheese and hope I don't bork it up. 😅
also chorizo crumb penne sounds good omg

Feeling relieved that my back is not nearly as jacked up today as it was yesterday. Gonna go see Everything Everywhere All At Once later, at the theater that brings food directly to your seat.
 
Going through my replay of Three Houses, I really enjoy the storytelling and world building of this game. I know for some it can frustrating to have to play through all the routes to get everything but I think it helps make the setting of Fodlan feel more real, developed, and big. Not every characters' goals are the same. Edelgard is concerned with bringing down the social and political system that control the people. Dimitry is concerned about bringing vengeance for his family. And Claude is not interested in either of those things and has his own ambitions. Not every character knows the full history of Fodlan and not every character will tell you specific aspects of the lore simply because they are simply not interested in them. You meet characters with different religions and come from different countries but those details are only briefly talked about in conversations. The neighboring countries are talked about and occasionally encountered, but they are never brought to the full front. This type of story telling helps make the world of Three Houses feel much bigger than what the main character is directly experiencing. You are but one story (albeit an important one) in a world filled with thousands.

I don't like the trend of creators just giving out every detail about their fictional worlds. In order for those words to feel real, there needs to be an aspect of mystery and a sense of scope to everything. That's why I hate Zelda fans that try to connect everything together. I don't need an explanation of the dragons in BOTW or need to know who the Zonai were. I don't need to have a game that explains how the Twili are actually banished Shiekah. Just leave those mysteries untouched for people to speculate and theorize on.

Making breakfast, watching Ya Boy Kongming and executioners way of life, recovering from using a weedwhacker(it really amplified my normal triggers. Glad I’m not painting today). Wanna play some Kirby 64 with a Snes controller, panel line a kit, watch Chip and Dale. Make a bbq chicken, biscuit and green bean casserole topped with cheese. Chill day overall
 
Went out today to get a new jacket for summer. Couldn't find a suitable jacket. Did buy a pair of lederhosen, a vest and a par of braces lol:

This sounds glorious. I'll hopefully get around to watching it this week; there's a really good cinema with a bar where I am but it's awkward to get to by public transport (can't drive with my condition wahey), so I'll probably go to a cinema downtown on an easier bus route. Might get round to watching Dr Strange on IMAX at some point too.

What level are you, roughly? IIRC after that particular event, the game opens up basically all of the endgame content as well as the rest of the story, so you're sort of intended to do a lot of side questing and level up a bit. But, and this is important, you can beat the game WELL before grinding into the high levels and doing a lot of that optional content. IIRC the final boss is around level 80, while there's tons of stuff in the game that's well into the 90s and beyond for postgame. Certain areas like the new sections of are more intended to be done after beating the game, not right now.

Of course, turning on casual mode to finish off the game is totally fine, nothing wrong with that! I just wanted to mention the structure in case you were trying to go for a lot of the stuff that's more postgame-oriented.

AFAIK a thunderstorm could be a first-time ssj transformation OR someone may be summoning a dragon.
