Wow, I am not even a top ten poster itt, smh.

Some would say it's because I've been slacking. Others (me) would say that I am not shackled to a single thread in here and actually feel comfortable participating in others.

Okay, I have also been slacking a bit, boo me.

Has anyone played this game next? I do like Zelda-likes or 2D Zelda games, but I'm holding off for now.

Haven’t finished it, played it a little on PC, bought again for my Switch to run start to finish. Short version is: it’s very good

Longer version: It looks like a Link to the Past clone but it’s got more going on than that. It’s combat is trickier than it looks, with lots of Minish Cap style dodging, a sort of Wind Waker setting, it’s got fun-but-manageable crafting, and it has so much side content that it’s ridiculous - I think the developer said there are more side dungeons and optional bosses than the main storyline.

It’s definitely more exploration based/non-linear than any 2D Zelda since the first one

Makes sense tbh

Sony might have their issues but they're generally a lot more consistent than Nintendo. If you like Sony games it's more-than-likely that you'll like what they put out, especially nowadays. There's generally a lot less to complain about - and what there is to complain about tends to not be that severe, despite its shittiness (e.g. the next-gen price hike and the bullshit upgrade schemes they're doing). Hell, their worst game of the past decade was The Order: 1886, and that still had the whole "graphical show-piece," thing going for it for the graphics-favourable Sony crowd to love.

Meanwhile Nintendo can be like:
"We we just revolutionised open-world gaming forever it's really no big deal."
"We just made a platforming game with gameplay so smooth that it might as well be ice."
"This new fighting game Sakurai made literally has every single character ever made in it because he didn't want fans to be disappointed."

Whilst also going:
"I know you stuck with us throughout the Wii U so we're gonna reward you by selling you all the Wii U games again :p"
"We spent actual time creating a dedicated themes menu on the Switch and then never gave it any themes lol"
"Our music is only available in a limited-edition version of a game that can only be bought during a solar eclipse."

So Sony fanboys being confused when us Nintendo fanboys get annoyed over Nintendo should be expected lol

That's gotta be a zoomed in section of a larger screen, right?

Otherwise it's looking like NES territory.
Slightly zoomed but the full picture isn't much better. This is an undocked image.

The only two port begging ports I'm salty about are 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony, because I asked for those titles so many times and played them on other platforms. Exactly two weeks after I finished each game, they announced their switch ports. lol

I could have played those in my bed, but nooooooooo. Enjoyed the hell out of both games tho!

It looks better docked but I imagine most interested parties would want to play this game in handheld mode. Let's hope the final product is better than the tech demo build.
Was this port done in-house at Sony? Or did they hand it off to a third party?

No. You’re gonna need like 15X the output of @Skittzo which is not possible. I think he has more posts just about might and magic in this thread than you do total.
It's not my fault that you guys are like my only social life :(

The graphics are one thing... I'd be more worried about that very odd glitch that has the Orioles in the lead...

as an Orioles fan I'm allowed to make this joke

Having recently won $20 from @Magic-Man (showoff...), Sturmgeist politely turned down his paltry raffle winnings. So, cogartulations to @Joedev, the impromptu runner-up! DM me to receive a cool five dollars of eShop credit

I think it's only reasonable as a fan of any brand or franchise to disapprove of some of their aspects/actions.
Total, unconditional allegiance is frankly unhealthy.

There are Nintendo games that I'll defend like a mother bear, and others I wouldn't cross the street to piss on if the last copy in the world was on fire. Naturally as I fan I lean positive by a wide margin, but whoa boy are there some things about Ninty that really cheese my onions.

I just prefer to focus on the positives, as I spent most of my life being a fairly negative person, and a battle with cancer a couple of years ago led me to reassess my life and consciously choose to be more optimistic, which has made me a much happier.

In my days I've been called both a Nintendo fanboy and a Nintendo hater, so I must be doing something right.

People might not know about it, but Nintendo fans are the type of group who actually can be very critical.

With the depressingly paltry "news" about Metroid Prime 4 today, I just thought I would share this image somewhere where it would be appreciated.

One day the shipping status will update. One day...

I admit I considered doing the March ST but I am not confident at making a good op as some of y’all’s before.

I even had a good title in mind

I am just not sure

BOTW 2 blowout, Metroid Prime HD and Metroid Prime 4... acknowledgement would be one hell of a summer Direct, just saying
by BOTW2 Blowout do you mean they BLOW the release date OUT of 2022 and into early 2023 because that's totes whats gonna happen lol

The Metacritic talk from a few days ago got me looking at the best games 'of all time'* on the site. I was delighted to see Klonoa 2 at a 91 MC, the 300th "best" game of all time.

*the list shows multiple versions of games as separate list items, and pretty much only includes games from 1996 forward. Plus there are many more reviews of games from the past decade than of games from the decades prior.

Still, really cool to see Klonoa 2 get some appreciation there. 300 sounds low but it's seriously high when you scroll through and see how high the MC still is at that point.

you’re telling me people like baseball enough to buy a game with real-world advertisements in it just to emulate “human baseball” to the fullest extent of the law??

I know that’s not the takeaway here, but here I am… taking it away…
