I grew up with a Wii as my first console but I’m also partial to the GC library since I played a lot of its games from backwards compatibility, New Play Control etc. So I really have no opinion on the GC vs Wii debate, I just think they’re both better than the N64.

So you're saying you're just like the rest of us now? Too old for Nintendo to cater to because they know they already have you as a fan for life, and the fact that they brought back an iconic franchise from your childhood but changed one of the defining features of it to appeal to a younger audience is evidence that you know you have to but don't want to accept? Don't worry, once your generation is a little bit older and have a lot of disposable income, Hollywood will start catering to you with an endless stream of awful reboots of beloved childhood franchises. 🙂

I was so confused thinking, "But @Magic-Man hasn't even been talking in this thread today." Then I noticed that he changed his profile picture WITHOUT ASKING ME!!!!!!! 😡 Okay people, listen up. From now on, if you're thinking about changing your profile picture, you need to give me a two week notice and the option to veto any proposed changes. And I will use that veto power lavishly.

It's a cool adjective in that context.
 
Does anyone have any good keyboard suggestions for Android? Mine has a bunch of weird little autocorrect quirks and I'm sick of it. For instance, I just went to text my partner "Will do!" and the "Will" autocorrected to "roll?" (including lack of capitalization and question mark). There is no context where that replacement makes sense

There's a notification on my Switch for some sort of COLOURS POP SALE, or something, which happens to be currently reduced games that Nintendo think will look good on OLED.

And, to be fair, yeah it's made a big difference to portable play for me.

I don’t even know what a teraflop really is (I’m a geriatric millennial and don’t have time to know such nonsense), but does this guy just think if you put a game on a console with higher specs it should automatically look better irrespective of what the art design or actual development process might have been? Console warring is so bizarre
 
Been playing Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga 3DS, fantastic little bit of game. Friday starts Horizon which I can play for exactly 1 week before it gets shelved for Elden Ring.
 
I still don't know what a Teraflop is, it just sounds like a mean-spirited way of making fun of Mistwalker's Terra Battle game.

You see when a console doesn’t sell well it’s a flop. When it really doesn’t sell well it’s a megaflop. When it sells worse than the Wii U it’s a gigaflop. And when it sells worse than the Virtual Boy, it’s a teraflop.

It's creepy how I read your post and went from "Legend of Tianding, whats that?" to google it and after that immediately buy it lol. Why have I never heard of this game. It's totally my jam!

Glad to see more people are discovering it! I considered trying my hand at a thread for it, but as a diaspora couldn't shake the sense that it might be too niche.

Playing it as we speak. I'm getting old, I need glasses to read some of the text 😭

But love the set-up of controls in the game and the comic style presentation. It's unlike anything I'm familiair with. Maybe ComiX Zone comes close but that's like 4th wall comic beat em up. This is different stuff.
 
One of these days I really have to force myself to get through an RPG. It's not today, or like... this year probably. But ya know just sometime within idk, we'll call it the next 30 years.

I managed to get through all of Miitopia, the slowest, most drawn-out, miserable turn-based RPG ever made
