I think the fit as Samus is fine but I don't understand the point in even bothering on Nintendo's part with how little you actually see Samus in any real detail in most of the games. The only video game context I can think of where this would even matter is Smash Bros with ZSS and that's also the fit that feels the worst for something like this lol.

I mean, I generally dislike gaming companies hiring celebs for their characters but this is also a bit of a beggars can’t be choosers type of deal. Anything to support Metroid, I guess.

If this is actually real in the first place which I doubt.

This Ys VIII theme is my new earworm, i found it on Spotify after i started playing the game and can't stop listening to it xD

About Torna, i just love the chemistry between the characters, it's a great party. I don't know if that's because i played the entirety of the main game, but they really seem to get along together. Plus the changes to the battle system that spiced things up a bit.

Not sure if I believe the Florence Pugh as Samus rumor but it doesn't seem that unreasonable. Nintendo has bigger name actors for their commercials. They brought back Jenna Coleman back for Xenoblade despite her career taking off after here initial casting of the character. If she were too expensive or Nintendo didn't want to spend the money, they could have easily recast her. If Pugh wants to play Samus in a game and/or movie, I don't think it's out of the realm of possiblity.

Finally time to dig into Disco Elysium: The Final Cut.
Been eyeing it for what feels like forever.

I take it that the game has its fair share of fans here?
 
4 hours on Death's Door and I love it. The transition from one half to the next in the first dungeon is sublime; I don't think I've played a game with such a notable but elegant shift in pacing, aesthetic and mechanics inside of a level like that. It's a really wonderful game.

Shamefully, as much as I adore the game - and as much as it clearly stands as its own, excellently executed experience - my Zelda brain is whirring away in the background pining for the 2D Zelda team to have a crack at a brand new game on Switch. The things they could achieve with a brand new experience would be really something and, if Link's Awakening's remake can shift 6 million or so (which, if it hasn't already, it surely will manage), then a new 2D/top-down Zelda can justify the investment.

Yeah I had to actually look at the link twice to convince myself that was actually the name.
 
I don't think i've ever watched any of Florence Pugh's movies, but i heard a lot of good things about her, i know she was nominated for an Oscar so she would probably be a great choice for the role of Samus. I think Brie would be better, though. When i think about Samus in a movie, the image that comes to my mind instantly is that of Brie. She is the perfect Samus imo, but maybe they want to go with someone younger because they think it's the best way to introduce the character.
 
If the Pugh stuff is real (which I sort of doubt) I would be so damn excited. I have stated before on this sight that she is my dream casting.

Imagine a Metroid movie where the filmmakers and the actor have the guts to go full-on Karl Urban in Dredd and just be like "helmet stays on, haters be damned."
And like the games, you see the face in the post-credits sequence. 👍

That's it for LM3. I gotta say, it was better than Mario Odyssey, but Odyssey had the better ending for me. That team at Next Level games were on steroids making this one. Joy to play and to look at. From animations to level design, they knocked it out of the park.
