We've seen a Tirkin in one of the Japanese tweets! The real mystery of the game so far:
Where are all the Tirkin?
Unfortunately there's just not enough data to unblur anythingSo has anyone on the internet attempted to unblur that hero? I'm just curious. I don't need anyone to show it to me if someone did unmask it.
There seems to be a consensus on their identity based on context and colors, but there aren't enough squares there to decensor it.So has anyone on the internet attempted to unblur that hero? I'm just curious. I don't need anyone to show it to me if someone did unmask it.

Everyone I've talked to about it has suggested its Vandham. The colors match his grey hair/mask and his pink biceps.
I got you covered:The real mystery of the game so far:
Where are all the Tirkin?
I think these are the same as the boat the party can use. They don't look like any of the mechs we've seen from Keves or Agnus. Might be affiliated with whatever Vandham's faction is?
It looks like the party fights both Ethel and Cammuravi near the end of Maktha Wildwood. You can see Ethel's mech in the background of the second image, so maybe they're taking on both at once?
Close up of this person punching Lanz. Her weapons look like the successor to Poppi QT's Mech Arms.
This dude next to Ethel looks unique. I don't think he's a Hero, but he's not generic.
Lanz is Lv. 65 while the rest of the party is Lv. 50. I'd say that leveling down is essentially confirmed.
There's a Heart-to-Heart symbol on the minimap here some distance from where the party and the Colony 9 Barracks are. Wonder what that's for.
There's another symbol on the left side of the minimap. I'm guessing that might be the cantina, but who knows.
I can kinda see that. It's also suspicious that it's the very first slot in the list and the list being sorted in chronological order, and Vandham would be one of the first potential allies for the team.
Hopefully that means he doesn't end up like XB2 Vandham!
Noah has a Talent Art called "Infinity Blade" that's a bit strange. We've seen him have it on 3 different classes, it's had a different effect one of those times, and it seems to use the katana in the one clip where we kinda barely see it in action. I'm not sure that'll be the only mechanic using that form, but it seems to be one of themDon't know if it's been talked about already but this direct pretty much cemented that Noah transforming blade is gonna be its own unique mechanic and has nothing to do with the class change mechanic since the in universe "explanation" for class change was shown in the trailer.
Really curious to see how that'll work.
Why does that screenshot of Haze look so good?I know how to Cheer this cast of depress Xenoblade 3 protagonists!
Call in a expert.
tears
Maybe just lucky with the shot. I took it from my switch and there’s a couple areas in Torna where you can “activate” the dynamic resolution lol. It’s funny just moving the camera and the picture turns blurry to sharp to blurry. Why does that screenshot of Haze look so good?
Whenever I play her ribbon blurs out weirdly because of the way the game simulates bokeh. I tried to google an example but like.. it looks good in all the images.
I'm confused now.
Well the blur from the active resolution is not what I mean, the game has a way of blurring the background to simulate bokeh, and while normally it's only the background that's affected, Haze's ribbon being transparent somehow makes it get caught up in the blur. Like, the part that's around her body will be sharp but the part that extends past her shoulders will be super blurry, along with the background.Maybe just lucky with the shot. might? No lie or hyperbole, but this might be GOTY.
With New Game+ you could blast trough it if these are the only games you want to playOh god. The Direct was cool and this game looks like it’ll be great but I have thoroughly failed in my quest to replay the first two, and there’s no way I’ll make it now!
As an expansion to the main game I don't think it'll be developed with the Pro in mind, even if it does come out after. So the Torna equivalent expansion is going to be Monolith Soft's first native Switch 2/Pro game? Since it's going to be Fall 2023 release after all
I’m actually hoping it can get some TGA recognition since everything’s moving to next year lolNo lie or hyperbole, but this might be GOTY.

I think that might be Alcamoth that went through a bit of remodeling done by the Queen.I believe all of these shots show the same structure, with the last one taking place inside of it.
The third shot shows it at ground level, but the other shots show it in the air, so this could be an airship of some kind. It might be the Keves city we see the homecoming ceremony in, but it's hard to tell from inside. Based on the terrain and the distance from the sword, the third shot looks like it could be at Eagus Wilderness, though it could also be past the sword on the other end of the map. Of course, if it's an airship, it might move during the game.
They're not going to be gacha, obviously, since that would make no sense, but it seems like Heroes will more or less be taking the place of blades for this game. Other than story heroes I'd be willing to bet that there will be a lot of sidequests that unlock more, too. At least I really hope so, I love that kind of reward system. And a new hero to fight with, plus unlocking their class, is a BIG reward. So we've seen I think 9 Heroes so far (the 8 named ones and the Indoline Hero)? Based on the 23 classes "shown" in the classes screenshot, we can assume we have at least 17 Heroes (probably at least 18 in reality). We also know one of those is Cammuravi, and we can reasonably assume Ethel as well. Maybe Isurd, but he's less certain than those two.
So we still have around 4-5 Heroes left to be revealed. Eunie is seen using dual fans at one point, so that's possibly one of those (or the Indoline). Then I'm starting to feel like Censored Hero is Vandham, which tbh is definitely a twist worth spoilering (should've changed the sorting though if they wanted to hide it better)
When they show the hero menu, Fiona comes after Alexandria but in the class select menu there's a silhouette of a character in between these two. Assuming these menus show the order the heroes join, this pretty much confirms some heroes will come from optional quests which is pretty cool. They're not going to be gacha, obviously, since that would make no sense, but it seems like Heroes will more or less be taking the place of blades for this game. I know I jumped the gun before with proposing Juniper was from a third faction before her twitter update happened so I'm hesitant to do that again but... does anyone else think Gray might come from the same place Vandahm does?
One of his eyes is covered like Vandahm's although it's a different eye. Could imply Gray was from Keves and Vandahm was from Agnus before they removed their clock eyes. Also, the ether lines on his guns are orange instead of Keves blue or Agnus green implying an actual third faction. He looks a lot older than 20 too. And I know it's been pointed out that all the male characters of lines under their eyes making them look older, but Gray has actual wrinkles and the lines look way deeper more numerous than Cammuravi's or Isurd's.
I wonder if there'll be a few super-late-game hidden heroes that are cameos of some sort ala KOS-MOS. I could see cameo heroes being rewards for challenge battle mode.I wonder if there'll be a few super-late-game hidden heroes that are cameos of some sort ala KOS-MOS. Complete with extremely powerful classes and arts.
This would make the most sense, and I'm absolutely expecting that with the DLC. I'm just excited at the idea of having characters, classes, arts, etc., hidden away via sidequests or difficult battles. Kind of like if every Blade in XC2 was obtainable either through the plot or with sidequests instead of the gacha system.I could see cameo heroes being rewards for challenge battle mode.
Heroes aren't directly playable, they join your party in the 7th slot and can be swapped between outside of combat. Once you do...something (probably raise their affinity to a certain level) you unlock their class permanently to use on the 6 playable characters, who can swap between any classes they have unlocked, regardless of if that Hero is active or not (not sure why this particular idea keeps popping up, not speaking to you directly since I've seen it in multiple places but that would be such a weird way to do a class system).I'm a bit confused about Heroes.. Are they actually playable, or are they NPCs that help out but you can use their classes while they are active?
THATS crazy, so many costumes!!About two or so weeks ago, Apopheniac made a list of all arts we've seen. I put together an updated list with what we've seen and learned from the direct and new images on the website. I might've missed something but I tried to be thorough.

I thought about updating my status effect chart but wasn't sure if we've really seen enough stuff to justify it. The lightning bolt icon I previously thought was paralysis turns out to be called Damage Link. My best guess as to what that would be is it makes the inflicted take damage when they deal damage like the curse status in Xenosaga 3. There's also a buff called power charge which I'm guessing is pretty much the same thing as supercharge from X.
@Phendrift they do!
To be fair the goal in the beginning of the game is to get to a place called SwordmarchAn interesting thing to note: This is the first game in the series to not attempt to tie into the "blade" part of the name thematically or conceptually. No "Monado", no "Blades" (it's mostly played for lore it seems vs the whole drawing point/main mechanic in the game), no "B.L.A.D.E."
The marketing of this game also displays a lack of focus on or uniqueness in Noah's sword vs the Monado or Aegis sword where they were basically the most important and valuable possessions in their respective games. Intriguing. What is Takahashi hiding 👁 Where is the blade in Xenoblade
