I love that Tri-Stringer was buffed, but does anybody feel like it's a bit overtuned? Or do I just suck ass?
Things have definitely been overtuned this patch. Enjoy that state while it lasts.
I love it when I play Tri Stringer, but hate it the other 90% when I'm not playing it. There is no reason for a weapon that's all about displacement and map control should be able to kill like it does.
It definitely feels too good/OP now.For a straight answer, I don't play Tri Stringer and don't run into enough of them to have noticed anything yet. Actually, I haven't run into any since the balance update. So if the weapon did get buffed too hard, not many people have gotten wind of it yet.
Before the patch Tri Stringer was always a fun, fair match-up whenever I was on one of the H-Splatlings or on Explosher. Either side could outplay the other. No comparison to the absolute bodying Chargers regularly inflict on me.
Share the replay codeHad a Clam Blitz overtime end yesterday! It was actually a really hype match, we were attacking and defending equally with no one getting a clam the whole time. Ended up winning the coin toss, luckily.
Upon rewatch, I forgot how terribly I played So please watch one of my teammates instead lolVery few things in the game can make me as angry as Barnacle & Dime does
What a POS, truly awfully designed map. I really can't comprehend how someone came up with it and said "this is good, let's put it in the game."
Losing feels awful and winning isn't fun here.
Also, is there a meme currently going on where people just don't participate? I'm very tired of reporting people constantly and wasting time.
My last 6 matches tonight have had people like that.

It would be really amazing if after 1 full year/4 complete seasons, they would go back to the way the updates were handled in Splatoon 2. I really don't know anyone who is truly satisfied by how S3 updates are released and I think we got enough seasonal gimmicksI've realized the season updates often feel disappointing because they focus on certain parts (new main weapons, new specials, new modes) but completely ignore others, and it changes per season what they focus on.
One season we'll get new main weapons, another season we'll get a new king salmonid, then another a new mode or new specials, so on and so forth.
I keep forgetting Challenges are a thing and I don't boot up my game to play them. Sucks.
Thanks for the reminder, gonna plug my Wii U back in later.Lmao, match making in Splat 1 is faster than in 3 atm
and dynamo is actually fun to play
I love substrafing
Funnily enough it's Salmon Run that made me finally learn it to gather eggs faster near the basket lolI'm glad other people are starting to discover how much sub strafing can feel like magic for improving your movement
Not exaggerating btwOpen since the patch:

How did they manage to make this awful matchmaking EVEN WORSE
It's not like your teammates are likely slouches with all the 5 star badgesNot exaggerating btw
Having used one weapon a lot doesn't mean anything in terms of skill, you can easily be A Rank and still have oneIt's not like your teammates are likely slouches with all the 5 star badges
Well what you're asking for is effectively impossible. Those 3 players who look to be a team are never going to find a comparable opponent. The odds of 6 top 3000 or higher players all playing in the same mode at the same time are pretty low, even at the busiest times of day, even without accounting for waiting time, latency, and team comps.Having used one weapon a lot doesn't mean anything in terms of skill, you can easily be A Rank and still have one
Especially compared to... ranking top 10 in X Battle at the end of a season.
This is good to know. I've been extremely disenchanted with the game for the last few weeks and I already got several 5 stars with other weapons I truly like, so maybe it's time to go back to it.Jet Squelcher feels pretty solid now.
Since the Splatfest sneak peek started I've been playing a few matches each day again and both kits have been more reliable than my Splatoon 3 standbys Explosher and Hydra. It's funny, though, the mantra of Always Be Painting I picked up maining Squelcher in previous titles was something that got me killed more than any other bad habit when I switched weapons. Now I have to re-learn that it's okay to ABP because with the Jet I actually want opponents looking at me more often than not.
