So a friend of mine recommended Immortality, and when I say "recommended", I say that he was over the dang moon about it, screaming 11/10 and said that it was top 5 material and that I'd LOVE it.
So I sort of paused what I'm playing at the moment - Ragnarök (can't bring myself to continue anymore), Harvestella, (Which I SHOULD finish, soon!) and Metroid Prime 2 (Plenty of time until the event's over) - and have put 2 hours into it.
I absolutely adore the concept (This art form needs more Sam Barlows) it all feels very 13 Sentinels to just go all in and dig through this web of truly intricate non-linear storytelling. But I'm starting to lose interest, there's not much of a red thread happening it feels like, and there's this feeling of just shifting through random clips, and I use the search function - which is awesome, super cool and unique - but I feel like I have gotten at least the majority of the clips, because I end up going in circles a lot.
Should I keep going? Am I missing something here? I mean, 13 Sentinels started like this as well, teetering on the edge of being a disjointed mess, a game that ascended spectacularly only when it all came together in such a phenomenal way.
