Literally this, seems perfect. I just hope every game has a good power up and not just hdI trust this man, and this makes sense. Looking forward to it.
So MP1 this holiday, MP2 and 3 next year, then MP4 in 2024. Makes sense
that's always been the rumor since day 1 when we found out about these games getting new releases.Edit: He stated that MP1 was getting a bigger remaster treatment than 2/3. Not exactly sure what that would mean.
Yup. Was recently discussed here in May, too, in the Metroid Prime 4 at E3 thread.that's always been the rumor since day 1 when we found out about these games getting new releases.
So would this mean that MP1 is receiving improved graphical assets instead of just a resolution bump and new controller schemes/balancing?that's always been the rumor since day 1 when we found out about these games getting new releases.
It is when it's 4k!In no universe Metroid Prime Remake is a "big holiday game". Especially if you compare it to Pokemon S/V.
That's not the case. The source of these rumors stated that Retro was originally doing the whole trilogy, but when Prime 4 shifted from Bandai to Retro the plan was changed to just have Retro finish 1, then outsource 2 and 3 with 1 serving as the template/benchmark. If 2 and 3 are getting a lesser remaster treatment than 1, that's new info.that's always been the rumor since day 1 when we found out about these games getting new releases.
yeah. i'm thinking MP1 is getting something like the demon's souls ps3->ps5 treatment, same game but with completely new assets. and apparently 2 and 3 are just uprezzed with better textures, and controls reworked for switch. So would this mean that MP1 is receiving improvised assets instead of just a resolution bump and new controller schemes/balancing?
really? i could have sworn i read a long time ago about i getting an actual remaster while the other two are getting more basic re-releases.That's not the case. Are you the actual Gengar?I was hoping for a 2023 MP4 release, but that seems unlikely if 2/3 come next year. Jeez, if it's 2024, that would make 5 years since the reboot and 7 years since the first announcement. Crazy how even both BOTW games could end up having a shorter reveal to release periods.
yeah. i'm thinking MP1 is getting something like the demon's souls ps3->ps5 treatment, same game but with completely new assets. and apparently 2 and 3 are just uprezzed with better textures probably, and controls reworked for switch.
Late 2023 Prime 1 , early 2023 Prime 2+3 and late 2023 Prime 4.I was hoping for a 2023 MP4 release, but that seems unlikely if 2/3 come next year. It's better than them releasing a poor game. They did the right thing.I was hoping for a 2023 MP4 release, but that seems unlikely if 2/3 come next year. The verbatim wording was:yeah. i'm thinking MP1 is getting something like the demon's souls ps3->ps5 treatment, same game but with completely new assets. and apparently 2 and 3 are just uprezzed with better textures, and controls reworked for switch.

So the new plan became for them to just finish up the first game, then Nintendo would contract out the work for the subsequent games to be redone by other studios with the Prime 1 remake serving to establish the visual bar and style for other studios to emulate.
They are going to send it to die on those dates. It's a game for January or February, like Skyward Sword or 3D World. At Christmas Metroid Prime Remake is going to be massacred. It is when it's 4k!
ah, that makes sense. well, the other two games getting the same amount of work put into them is nothing but good news, i hope whoever is in charge of those does a good job.The verbatim wording was:
Well that's why I mentioned it, because it sounds like Grubb is saying 2 and 3 aren't getting the same amount of work. That would be new information and a change from the original plan.ah, that makes sense. well, the other two games getting the same amount of work put into them is nothing but good news, i hope whoever is in charge of those does a good job.
Indeed. It's great to hear somebody confidently say that they've heard it's still 2022 as well after your and Emily's prior info.Yup. Was recently discussed here in May, too, in the Metroid Prime 4 at E3 thread.
that's always been the rumor since day 1 when we found out about these games getting new releases.
It's Pokemon S/VNo matter how good the original was, and no matter how pretty the new visuals will be, an allegedly 1:1 remake of a GameCube game is pretty weak as big holiday title. I hope that they have something else. Something new.

They do. It's new Pokemon and Bayo 3. Along with Splatoon in September, which will undoubtedly get a major holiday push.No matter how good the original was, and no matter how pretty the new visuals will be, an allegedly 1:1 remake of a GameCube game is pretty weak as big holiday title. I hope that they have something else. Something new.
Grubb also thinks we are getting some kind of presentation focused on first party in July:
Can anyone grab up that lenghty post from ERA again which talked pretty in-depth about the Remaster/Remake?
It isn't that rare really, in fact is pretty common for series that only the most popular entry gets special treatment and the others get just ports/hd versions.Wouldn't be a bit weird if MP1 gets a big work remaster, making it close to a remake (like Crisis Core) and then 2 and 3 also got rereleased but with just a resolution bump, or something not close to that MP1?
I mean, there are others. But I am from Gen I Kanto, so I like to think I'm the real deal. Are you the actual Gengar?
Possible if they release 2/3 together, but I'm not sure that will happen. I like the optimism.Late 2023 Prime 1 , early 2023 Prime 2+3 and late 2023 Prime 4.
Yeah I'm not questioning the delay. It just sucks that it's taking so long. I'm sure it will be a great game in the end. It's better than them releasing a poor game. They did the right thing.

Nintendo Working on Metroid Prime 1 Re-Release (Remaster/Remake?) for Release in 2022 - Emily Roger (Up: other insiders corroborate) Rumor
My God, this is a leak if I've ever seen onewww.resetera.com
That's pretty much what happened with Wind Waker HD vs. Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword HD.Wouldn't be a bit weird if MP1 gets a big work remaster, making it close to a remake (like Crisis Core) and then 2 and 3 also got rereleased but with just a resolution bump, or something not close to that MP1?
The 6/28 Direct is a Partners Showcase, so nope.I assume this’ll be announced in the 6/29 direct?
The Direct is tomorrow and no, it's third party focused.I assume this’ll be announced in the 6/29 direct?
