My best guess on peachette is she was included so she didn’t become lost media. But Dixie was right there, and would've fit with the theming with the other three
There could be one last shake up from the datamines after Daisy Circuit and we actually do end up getting one final GBA track. Who knows, Daisy Circuit could even be the final Wii track instead of Rainbow Road. There are some absolutely bonkers GBA retros from Tour that didn't make the cut for the BCP, it's a shame.
As much as I would love GBA Bowser's Castle 4, the only chance it would have is if the SNES track was Vanilla Lake and DK Mountain was cut. Both things are very unlikely to happen. There could be one last shake up from the datamines after Daisy Circuit and we actually do end up getting one final GBA track. That's probably just me hoping for GBA Bowser's Castle to finally get a good remix though cause DS and Wii's sounded like they were underwater and in Tour it was the only GBA track to not get a remix. They'll probably just go with SNES BC3 instead of GBA BC4.
We’ve seen Nintendo snub SNES before, not a stretch it happens again. Hard to imagine it won’t be BC3 though. As much as I would love GBA Bowser's Castle 4, the only chance it would have is if the SNES track was Vanilla Lake and DK Mountain was cut. Both things are very unlikely to happen.
I like Daisy Circuit, but I was really hoping that last retro slot would go to a GBA course.
There's 4, probably 5 Rainbow Roads in the game, maybe they'll give us 3 Bowser's Castles! (they probably won't)As much as I would love GBA Bowser's Castle 4, the only chance it would have is if the SNES track was Vanilla Lake and DK Mountain was cut. Both things are very unlikely to happen.

This is just ridiculous.Genuinely wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo just thought Peachette was popular because of the whole Bowsette arc of the internet.
Sorry for the delay on this one; though there isn't much to be surprised about here.
Since Madrid Drive is more than likely Tour's final new course (with a slight chance for RMX Vanilla Lake 2 next Tour), I may as well update the overall course summary image; possibly for the penultimate time (i'll be sure to make one final version when Wave 6 launches!). The scrapped courses section probably isn't too accurate anymore between the use of the note block object and the high liklihood of the extra mob tracks simply being alternate names for tracks that did make it in, but i'll leave it as-is for now.
I think the better way to do a "Mario + All Stars Kart" would be something like thisRandom question, assuming it is fine
For Mario Kart 10 (or whatever they will call it), if the cups had this distrobution
2 Brand new Mario tracks, 1 Returning Track, and 1 new Non-Mario track.
For each Cup.
Would that be a acceptable style, for yall who either want it to be Smash Kart, or want it to focus mostly on Mario?
That would also be lovely. I do want the game to still be 'Mario Kart' and focus mostly on Mario, but, having a big batch of tracks and characters from other series would just be really cool.I think the better way to do a "Mario + All Stars Kart" would be something like this
12 cups at launch
4 New MK track cups
4 New Nintendo track cups
4 Retro MK cups
So the focus is still on MK and it's legacy, but 1/3 of the game gives love to the cross over Nintendo content.
Doing it that way would feel kind of messy to me.Random question, assuming it is fine

I'm sure Peachette will keep showing up in SpinOffs anyway. Again, it's not like she's a random and obscure character.. most people would recognize her. This is just ridiculous.
They don’t hire market research and pr people to sit and google 3 things.
While I’m not one to be, very confident in much air chair speculation, I fully beleive that the aspect I mentioned is why she was in, peachette as a character does not have a future in the franchise.
I think the best argument is nabbit, he works better than peachette because on top of being in nsmbu, he’s also in wonder.
I doubt it will either, pass wonder will absolutely pass nsmbu it isn’t even a worth considering that it won’t, the marketing for it even now has been much higher.I'm sure Peachette will keep showing up in SpinOffs anyway. And also, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe won't stop selling because of Wonder; and it's not bold to predict Wonder won't catch up with NSMBUDX either.
The next Mario Kart will obviously need to have retro tracks from Mario Kart 8. It'll have been 10 years since those track came outCompletely get rid of all the retro tracks because MK8 has a ton of them due to the booster pack, and replace all the retro cups with crossover cups.
I mean, every Mario Kart game since DS has had tracks from the directly previous entry, so I would imagine the next Mario Kart would have MK8 and MKT retros, even though they're all just in MK8.The next Mario Kart will obviously need to have retro tracks from Mario Kart 8. I just now learned that the Captain Toad DLC was about the Super Crown too; completely missed that was a thingI doubt it will either, pass wonder will absolutely pass nsmbu it isn’t even a worth considering that it won’t, the marketing for it even now has been much higher.
The main reason why I doubt peachette will return ever is due to the super crown, it’s the thing that’s probably never coming back, and as a whole it didn’t do much for the series.
Well that doesn’t change anything, it’s captain toad dlc, nice that it appeared again though.I just now learned that the Captain Toad DLC was about the Super Crown too; completely missed that was a thing

I have severe doubts that ARMS will be making it past the Switch, even in other games by the same team like Mario Kart. I'd love to be wrong cause I love the world and characters, but they didn't even capitalize on Min Min's inclusion in Smash by releasing the finished, but unreleased graphic novel. Not even a digital release. It really feels like Nintendo just gave up on the series, despite it's moderate success for a new IP.ARMS character
If they were going to surprise us with even more characters (would I would love but highly doubt it would happen), the only character slots that really make sense to consolidate along with Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach are Metal/Gold Mario and Pink Gold Peach. Toad and Toadette are entirely separate characters, as are Koopa Troopa and Dry Bones, so there’s no reason why they’d combine those together. For Toadette, it’s much more likely that Peachette would be combined with her if anything. But the other problem that all those and the Inklings and Villagers have are that their icons aren’t all right next to each other which would result in an even messier character select screen with DLC characters slotted in a variety of different places, and/or other character icons would have to be moved around some, and it’s clear that Nintendo wants to disrupt the layout as little as possible with how they’ve handled new additions to the roster over the entire course of Mario Kart 8’s life.
Okay, So the last 2 ?'s are for Diddy and Funky, and people assume Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach are gonna be alts for Mario and Peach, so Pauline and Peachette can take over those spaces? If that is true, what if they bring inkling boy and girl, Villager boy and girl, Toad and Toadette, and Koopa and Dry Bones in on spot aswell, so they can add another 4 characters that weren't shown in the Direct? The next trailer has to have 8 courses, and if they eventually add 4 secret characters, the total of characters added in wave 6 is gonna be 8 aswell. Each course segment can have it's own character segment aswell. It's a cool way to end Mario Kart 8, with 8 courses and 8 characters.
Highly unlikey, and then again would make sense to me if they did it.
I mean, Pauline and Peachette do have to go somewhere in the roster, so a shake up is indeed also a possibility. Both villagers were combined in Wii U, so they could do that again, and do the same with inklings.I feel like we might finally get a character select arrangement shake up, but I think they might just combine the Inklings and recombine the Villagers.
Or they surprise us and just add another column with more question marks and MK8 refuses to die yet again
Idk, I think the stats of Cat Peach and Tanooki Mario are different of Peach and Mario too, so it'll be sure weird if they were gonna be meshed up together as alts.If they were going to surprise us with even more characters (would I would love but highly doubt it would happen), the only character slots that really make sense to consolidate along with Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach are Metal/Gold Mario and Pink Gold Peach. So yeah, not happening, lol.
It does track each costume/colour for every saved time trial. How does the game handle world records and such for the different color Yoshi and other costume variants? Does 8D remember the color/costume? Or does it just have a default color/outfit?
The two Villagers shared a single slot on Wii U despite having different stats, so it shouldn’t be an issue with Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach sharing Mario and Peach’s slots, either. Like I’ve said, moving Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach is easily the best place to fit in Pauline and Peachette. Anywhere else will look messier and/or require moving other icons around to make sense. And, again, it’s not a matter of how similar Toad/Toadette, Koopa Troopa/Dry Bones, or Bowser/Dry Bowser look, it’s that Nintendo wouldn’t combine them because they’re literally not the same characters at all (well, Dry Bowser is arguable, but it’s inconsistent since he has been depicted as a separate entity as Bowser in some games after his debut). Plus if those characters were combined, it would leave the new DLC characters scattered across the character select screen separated from each other in different locations, unless major changes to the layout are made—neither of which are likely to happen given how Nintendo has handled DLC characters throughout the history of this game. We’ve always gotten either a whole new row or column, or new variants were added to an existing character’s slot—no major rearranging of the layout. Why would they suddenly do that now, especially after they specifically made a new column for DLC characters?Idk, I think the stats of Cat Peach and Tanooki Mario are different of Peach and Mario too, so it'll be sure weird if they were gonna be meshed up together as alts.
Than again, sure Toad and Toadette are different characters, but let's be real. Toadette is just a Toad with pigtails, so they can easily be combined. Dry Bones is just a zombified koopa, so the same can be said for them aswell. Even more, their character icons are litterally the same, only with a few tweaks.
Same can be said with Bowser and Dry Bowser, but I don't know if they are letting that happen, since if they don't combine Cat Peach and Tanooki Mario, and the rest of the said characters, Pauline and Peachette make room for one more row, and you'll end up on 4 characters for that said row anyways.
And like Jazzy said, there is a possibility they can shake up the arrangement to make it more fitting. FK and Diddy are gonna be placed weirdly far off from DK, and Wiggler, Birdo and Petey are placed in a horizontal row that makes it pretty weird to look at.
If 8 character just do two columns , no need for alt swapping.

live service, I really doubt they would do nintendo kart, just buy smash.I agree with what many people are saying that the next Mario kart is gonna be half Mario kart, half Nintendo kart. I still don’t know how they can surpass the 96 tracks from 8 deluxe. Maybe 50 tracks could suffice, but that would be A LOT of effort
I'm sure the average person can figure out how to press the A button on Mario twice instead of just onceWe’re going to have agree to disagree on this until it happens either way. It’s really just to keep selecting Mario as simple as possible for people who don’t play a lot of games.
