It would be a very fitting end to the season, but I doubt they will.

Saban retiring. The coaching carousel is about to be like nothing we have ever seen before because the top program is open. If Harbaugh goes pro, then you have 2 top 5 programs opening and the poaching and downstream effects would be unprecedented.

I won't be saying anything particularly original, but Saban retiring is one of those monumental things that will change the landscape of the game immeasurably. The greatest coach of the modern era, almost without debate.

I like that this is how I found out Saban was retiring. Never been a fan of Bama, but damn if he wasn’t a legend.
