Yeah I saw this! I love it in concept but I think I'd rather have the Switch version because 1) what if I played games like Smash Bros with a DDG controller 2) probably better graphics

Koei tecmo is pretty close to Nintendo, so yeah, I think they want the game to come out before the end of the fiscal year and have time to release a polished Switch version in 2022-2023.

Yeah true. I believe the plug n play version has the PS1 version, so it's plug n play, but in image quality not quite on par with the Switch version.

I actually wasn't familiar with samushunter so I went and looked them up to understand why any of this matters. And I'll just say if you go in being familiar with Racoon's style, you can kinda easily see the tells.

Indie Worlds are usually an evening affair in Europe (18:00 CET, iirc), so I probably won’t be able to watch it live this week. Boo.

I don't know if it'd be "soon." From what I've gathered from our reliable leaker SamusHunter2 aka @Raccoon, Metroid Prime Remastered is going to a 2nd half of 2022 release, and it SOUNDS like it's a very quick announce-release turnaround. So maybe announce at E3, release in September kinda thing?
 
Total side note: to help us kinda cover for our usual leak-friends, I say going forward we retroactively attribute every leak we ever talk about to "SamusHunter2 AKA @Raccoon"

at first this sounds like an ok idea but the more I think about it the more it sounds kinda shadow-y and non-transparent, which is sooooorta against FamiBoards' mission statement

The way I operate, E3 2022 is "soon" in my book.
