I think zippo is already here with another name or lurking.

Edit: Atleast it's not Not_Zippo after searching on the site :)

Our reactions when Zippo decide to join here :

Short rant: I HATE how FFIV/FFV/FFVI isn't playable on Switch. I don't need nothing fancy (except quick saving maybe), but just give me the games Square! I miss my crew and wanna hang out with the people from FFIV/V/VI while listening to the godlike OST's.

/end of stupid rant

Jeez I just saw the € 80 price for certain future PC releases.

Guess translating to other languages costs about € 10 more. As a European it’s a bizarre thing to see.

I’m not serious about the translation, but I always wonder why Europe gets the shaft

Hopefully a Pixel Remaster collection is in the works. That would be nice.

They are heavily rumored to be coming next year, at least! So hopefully not TOO far off!

Has anyone here played Octo Expansion? I bought it months ago, have few hours in but just never finished it, found some of the levels really hard.
It can be tough. Really like the ability to choose difficulty based on the weapon types they give you. Need to finish as it has the best final sequence in a Nintendo product in my eyes.

I'm loving the idea of EVERY entry of some series that can run Switch being on Switch.

FF missing FF1-6 and F13 trilogy. Crisis Core, FF Tactics and Type-0 are canon to their respective worlds so they need to be in too.
RE is missing: RE2, RE3, Code Veronica.
DMC is missing 4 and DmC
Tales of is missing every entry except Vesperia
MGS is missing... every entry

Long road ahead but eventually we will be there.

Man I really hope so. I have such fond memories playing them on my SNES first, then playing the GBA reissues on the go years later, I want to listen to Terra's theme on the go again :)

Yeah, with FF&/8/9/X/XII on Switch, I at least expected Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus on Switch. Just to flesh out the original FFVII. Also, I expected a Switch-focussed Tales-game for some reason. Not sure why. I just feel they fit the system :)

Now that FF7 is the hottest thing ever, you'd think Square would remaster Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus in no time. I mean, both games have never been available digitally, you need to pay some big bucks to experience them (legally).

Crisis Core has some legal issues that’s SE needs to work out before it can be port elsewhere.

Dirge of Cerberus has the issue of being absolutely awful. But haven’t heard anything preventing a port. So maybe?

Dirge of Cerberus is completely crap indeed. But it has Vincent Valentine so I'm really conflicted on that one :(

I did! Some spots were tough but on the whole it's really good, with a big, fun climax. I think I took advantage of the branching paths to skip some of the levels I was having a hard time with.

Series S and Infinite are great but I keep encountering issues. Just tried to quick resume Halo Infinite campaign, played a few seconds, now I'm told I don't have a license for the game despite being signed into Live and subbed to Game Pass Ultimate. Next gen my ass.

Even 343 has acknowledged that quick resume is causing problems.

They mentioned it goofing up unlocked cosmetics due to the network disconnecting while the game is suspended, but network disconnection sounds like it could be related to the problem to what you're having.

So. What are the chances that Nintendo re-releases the Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon North American release? I’m so damn pissed that I didn’t buy it when I had the opportunity.

I know that Halo Infinite is well reviewed, but some things are bothering me. Didn’t they promise it to have more than the grass area? Also, the announcement trailer showed lush forests, water and desert sections with a vivid fauna. After all the delays, I can’t help but find this a little misleading.

Made a reaction-gif for anybody who feels his/her/them's posts are ignored. Yes it is tacky but feel free to use :)

I made this to post in the pick up thread I created but no use posting it in a thread nobody is interested in lmao 😂

I won’t be home till Monday. But i might have a download code I can give if I can find it. I bought the limited edition but bought it off the eshop cause I forgot I had a download code lol. It’s NA too

I think you and bellydrum clowned on him enough to be on his shit list lol
Aw I don't think I really clowned on Zippo. If anything, I was against his ban because I strongly disagree with Era's "insider verification" policy which seems to amount to "give up your sources to the mods"

I'm assuming it'll end up in NSO at some point alongside Earthbound Beginnings. After all, Super Mario 64 is now available via NSO+ following the removal of 3D All-Stars

I remember the Shadow Dragon executable was a different NES emulator (based on the Wii U emu) so it might need a bit of work.

Zippo's claim to fame was that he said there was going to be an Animal Crossing Direct which was correct but basically half the people on the forum were predicting an Animal Crossing Direct. It was super obvious that Nintendo was going to have one ahead of the game's release. But people weirdly took his word as gospel because he predicted the obvious. He also said there would be two Directs that particular month which ended up being wrong, something people swept under the rug for some reason. Then there's him not knowing that Fire Emblem is a Nintendo franchise, despite it being in Smash Bros since Melee. Then when his leaks were wrong, he would lash out at Nintendo and he needed to aggressively let everyone know how much he doesn't care about a new game Nintendo announced.

There are all sorts of people in the game industry and the game press but his weird teenager-like behavior didn't convey to me that he was a credible person. He may have heard some things that ended up being true but he clearly had a spotty record.

343 has been very transparent about having to reduce the biomes to just the PNW until future updates/expansions since early this year, I believe, so a lot of Halo peeps knew this was coming. It's still disappointing as a huge fan, but we can look forward to it in upcoming seasons/years along with more single-player content.

Gotta love how when people like Zippo and Samus Hunter are wrong, its swept under the rug, when Nate isn't 100% on the ball (Even though its proven later he was) he gets shit thrown at him from all sides to a severe degree.

I haven't played the game yet but I did read plot summaries and watched cutscenes. I won't go into spoilers but where the game ends definitely seems like it was supposed to be the first half of a bigger game. When the Bloomberg article states that 2/3s of the game were cut, I think that may be literal. The lack of environment diversity and brand new enemy types wouldn't be something a dev would originally plan for in a big sequel and the start of new narrative arc. If I had to guess, the environments and enemies were the most polished. Everything else was cut and put on hold. Then using the assets that remained, the "stretched" the content of this part of the story so the final product wasn't ultra short. There's a portion of the game I've heard from people describe as padding.

His behavior was off a lot. Era can be ruthless to folks so I just figured that why’s.

But he did once post a random screenshot of Mario kart 8 to try and pass off as a leak for MK9. Joseki saw that it wasn’t and told him it’s a MK8 shot and insulted Joeski and call them stupid only to be proven wrong later and try to brush it off like nothing happen. From that point, I realize he’s just a bit childish and seeks attention. No harm no more. He’s got his blog and probably less hostility all around being in control.

He also "predicted" the collection we now know as Sonic Origins (though I can't remember if he was piggybacking someone on that, but he sure as hell took credit himself), and that game was revealed right around the time of his ban and hoooooo boy, he took a very loud simultaneous victory lap (on Sonic) and dump (on the Era community) in his blog. I was only following that because, like, I'm kinda a little bit interested in Sonic (lol) but I remember his blog getting very... yeah, like you said: teenager-like. Heavily self-congratulating while loudly trashing anyone who would dare contradict him. sort of like a certain hunter

I swear sometimes it seems like they have their own hired cheer squads who hype up anything they say and shit all over anyone who contradicts them, including actual insiders. It's very strange.

i hope I don't sound like I'm dogpiling. 😅 But basically, regardless of the track record, I really don't appreciate the attitude of some of those people (that's why I like it so much here).

I’m the true insider.

I saw LA Noire was coming to switch long before it was rumor or announced

Your all welcome for that game.

Spent a good 6 or 7 hours on Halo Infinite across yesterday and today and thoroughly enjoying it, even if I've had niggles. Think I'll give it a break and get some Shin Megami Tensei V in tomorrow.

Sun Megami Tenday.

Prediction: Nintendo will release a new game in the Mario series some time next year.

I know it seems like an out-there prediction, but I have sources and will be proven right in 2022.

Posts like this are insensitive. We all saw Mario die in March yet your "sources" are out here spreading shit like this.

Halo Infinite is good fun, but damn does it remind me how much of an accomplishment botw was in making an open world so fun, varied and interesting. Even this 9/10 game (re: reviews) absolutely stumbles with making content not feel repetitive and too hand-holdey. That said, it’s mechanics are too fun for it to get me down lol.

That's because the former just tell people what they want to hear so they get excited and the latter simply tells the truth as he currently knows it.
