Nah, we need one. I really love my Switch, but as Nintendo Tokyo must be far along with the next 3D Mario, it will probably be on Switch 2

I need my 3D Mario, Supra :3
But if there were no Switch 2 then the next 3D Mario would be coming out for the Switch we already have

And it would be amazing

Yall I'm confused about something

I've seen a lot of talk about how crappy Switch games look on 4K tvs, with people going after upscalers like the mClassic in order to have them look decent. Never bugged me because I always had a 1080p TV and I never planned on getting rid of it.

But then it died.

So I picked up a 4K tv about a month ago (because that's all there is now, not because I wanted 4K) and have been worried that my Switch games will look crappy but.. they don't? I played Sea of Stars and now am playing Mario Wonder and.. they look incredible. But when I played Sonic Superstars on my Xbone S, it was jaggy city. Even the menus on my One S are jagged. And it's supposed to output in 4K! But it looks somehow like it's more jagged and pixelated than what my Switch is outputting. I don't understand it. What exactly about Switch is supposed to look bad on a 4K tv? This shit looks amazing.
It's because we're old. My brother scoffs whenever I talk about playing the Switch on my 4K TV. And yet it bothers me not! I finally understand my odd friend who told me he couldn't tell why Blu Rays were better than DVDs.

i have a somewhat general question. Does the pro controller normally play sound?
If you're talking about the sounds it plays in Mario Wonder, they're made using the HD Rumble! It's pretty clever and a few Switch games have already used this feature, like Golf Story but also Mario Kart 8 to an extent (you can hear a little"ka-ching" coming from you controller when you get a coin).

Ah I figured it was that. I was just playing the game and was hearing something at a very low tone and it was driving me crazy.

Such a nice touch though

Got my new… I guess I’ll call it a bookshelf setup. Doors means the cat is less likely to mess with it

Lmao the Pokémon fanbase is so predictable

It is, but also... I definitely agree with this. Gen 8 had a really nice look to it especially with the darker shading and colors, and a lot of the areas really pop and look good (wild area notwithstanding).

Ultraman Blazar 15 was awesome. Felt more like an Ultra Q episode over an Ultraman one but that’s part of the charm XD

Almost time for some more wonder. And banjo kazooie

It’s true, though. ScarVio look terrible. Not that SwSh look good, but compared to ScarVio it’s beautiful.

but also this. They’re both bad and I love Arceus. But sorry Drew, Let’s Go is the actual true king.
Oh, yeah, I forgot I love LGPE.

You have my Axew!

I wish Nintendo would make a new <insert game series no one cares about but me, not to mention it isn’t even a Nintendo owned IP>

I did what the capitalists wanted and watched the Mario movie for the first time after playing Wonder.
That's actually the opposite of what the capitalists wanted.

What they wanted was for you to watch the movie and have that inspire you to then purchase the (much more expensive) games.

We need more people doing the opposite of what capitalists want. Good practice.

If you look at all 3 areas where gen 8 looks acceptable and ignore the rest of the game, sure. But the wild area is a big part of the game and most the caves and routes are dreadful. Scarvio is also ugly asf. And legends is only slightly better. And bdsp... I can't believe we peaked at let's go pikachu.

Mine can get pretty noisy, which makes me wonder if something is broken with the rumble.

But adding on to what Party Sklar said, another example is Kirby Star Allies, in which I'm pretty sure a song is played using HD Rumble at one point.

I adore this about the Switch's rumble. It's simply neat, and a cute touch.

Just bought a Blu-ray of The Warriors and the new Insidious movie.

While I patiently wait for my copy of SMBW, I decided to take that time to beat a few shorter games on my backlog.

I'm having a blast with Elechead and Yoku's Island Express. They're so ridiculously creative and fun, and it's great that I can beat them in just a few hours.

Thank God for indies.

It’s crazy to think that Switch is now home to new entries (or ports) in basically every Mario series.

2D, 3D, 3D Land/World, Maker, Paper, Kart, Golf, Tennis, Strikers

Everything is here and it’s glorious

That’s also a good way to get data on how far people are getting in your game
Yeah, one of the reasons I picked bosses as the main thing. Also several are optional so it will be interesting to see which ones most people pick (if anyone plays it 😩)

Being able to see what games other people you recently played with have in their library is pretty cool.

Had a Splatoon match earlier where one teammate stopped fighting half a minute before we lost. Upon watching the replay their behaviour even at the start was already confusing. Since it was unclear whether they were trolling, I went and checked out their profile. Minecraft, Splatoon, Kirby, Among Us, Fall Guys... Yup, just a kid.

So I blocked them.

I always love checking this information out and going "how did they rack up that many hours in X game?" and then I realize people probably say the same thing when they see my 1K+ hours in Super Mega Baseball 3. 😅

So Monday morning, do you think Nintendo will announce how many copies Mario Wonder has sold in its first weekend? If I recall, they have only done that for Pokemon S/V and Tears of the Kingdom where each was firmly over the 10 million copies sold threshold.
