If they nail the controls and the difficulty, this will be absolutely epic.
I buy Nintendo consoles day one. Mario platformers are never my priority.when it comes to people who will buy a nintendo console day one ? A bit doubtful about that.
So you're saying you'd skip it if it happened to be the launch game or you'd wait for more ?I buy Nintendo consoles day one. Mario platformers are never my priority.
Did you forget about the reception of the Wii U launch? ...when it comes to people who will buy a nintendo console day one ? A bit doubtful about that.
I'm talking about a new 3D mario game, not a 2D Mario game that looked exactly the same as the previous entries.Did you forget about the reception of the Wii U launch? ...
I mean I don't specifically prefer Mario platformers over other games and genres, and when I do get them they're not my priority. Why is that a weird concept? So you're saying you'd skip it if it happened to be the launch game or you'd wait for more ?
By that same logic it was ''bad" to launch with BOTW when the franchise historically speaking had been less popular than Mario.
it's just kinda weird to act like 3D Mario doesn't appeal to a relatively wide audience, you could do far worse as a launch game to attract an audience quickly assuming you have a year one lineup that appeals to other segments of your playerbase. In the same way BOTW wouldn't have necessarily appealed to everyone right away.I mean I don't specifically prefer Mario platformers over other games and genres, and when I do get them they're not my priority. Do we know for sure yet?I need to know which studio is behind this :'D
Yoshi's Cookie cookies is a perfect touch.
they should have done plumber peach from mario's picross guidebook too
This was my immediate thought too! "She's everything; he's just Mario."I’m glad they decided to take Peach in the Barbie “she could be anything” direction. Game looks great.
Oh hm, I do find that a bit harder to argue then. 2D Mario games might sell more, but 3D Mario games are very good at galvanizing a hardcore audience relatiovely quickly, which is what console launches need.I'm talking about a new 3D mario game, not a 2D Mario game that looked exactly the same as the previous entries.
I didn't say it doesn't appeal to a wide audience. I said not all fans of Nintendo games are specifically Mario fans. I don't know why this is upsetting you.it's just kinda weird to act like 3D Mario doesn't appeal to a relatively wide audience, you could do far worse as a launch game to attract an audience quickly assuming you have a year one lineup that appeals to other segments of your playerbase. Not that I know of, at least.Do we know for sure yet?
No confirmation yet.Do we know for sure yet?
This is not even a sequel to Super Princess Peach.I'd be back on the maybe it's Good-Feel train if it weren't for the fact that they were working on another big game at the same time.
TOSE would be highly appropriate tho. Something of a redemption arc even
Oh I'm sure Nintendo will do the claiming no matter who is developing lolThis is not even a sequel to Super Princess Peach.
They haven't made any games of their own since 2008. There's a difference between their usual hidden grunt work, and claiming the whole game for themselves.
Pause the trailer right when Wicked Grape shows up and you can see two signs lit up in the background depicting a kunai and also a cowboy hat with horns.
So yeah, Ninja and Cowgirl Peach are basically confirmed
a cowboy hat with horns.
Oh...oh no. First the elephant and now this. Peach is in her furry era /shorns
YESSS he was paying attention lol#TrustThePrincess @E.Gadd
I couldn't have possibly caught every lovely post made in that wonderful thread (there were so many, and it was moving so fast!), but "Trust the Princess" was a stroke of brilliance I'm glad I saw!YESSS he was paying attention lol
Truly a GOATed thread for this site.I couldn't have possibly caught every lovely post made in that wonderful thread (there were so many, and it was moving so fast!), but "Trust the Princess" was a stroke of brilliance I'm glad I saw!
I had to see this, now you have too!
Considering that "Grape" is used as a codeword on YouTube for something more heinous, it's kind of an unfortunate oversight. Also, how great a name is Wicked Grape?
C'mon that is S-Tier character naming right there.
