News Nintendo Direct announced for June 21 (40 minutes long, focused on games releasing this year, 7AM Pacific, 10AM Eastern, 4PM Central European)

Super Mario Wonderland is such an awesome name, but I keep reading it as WonderWorld and getting this terrible mental image of Mario doing janky motion capture dances

it's a pretty big fact everyone missed. if they really just had xbox on their TV ad because ms wants to pretend its exclusive then yeah its fucking dumb but it leaves open the door for a switch version to be announced in an incredibly stupid reveal.

Daisy is definitely a possibility considering she was in Super Mario Run but I still have no confidence in EPD including Waluigi in a main game.

This post is not getting enough attention so I’m bumping it. Kotaro Uchikoshi is the writer/director of the AI: The Somnium Files series, Zero Escape series, and Infinity series. There’s no reason for him to be hinting at a Pikachu project unless he’s involved.

The Detective Pikachu 2 is going to be trippy.

Specifically remade? That has me a little worried, if it’s TTYD they are remaking I hope they don’t tamper with the character designs and such.

Nah. The ideal really is that we should be getting all these characters mixing together and could just pop up whenever, instead of the weird "segmenting" of the Mario (and Yoshi) brands that was the order.

Like for crying out loud, we should be celebrating bad bitches like Wendy, Birdo and Captain Syrup together, not pitting them against each other!

Nate confirmed Paper Mario game is being remade. He doesn’t know which one though
 
It’ll be fun if 2D Mario finally goes back to being able to use just Super Mario in the title without the New.

For a while that denoted the main 3D games only. Now Maker and Party have used it and we got Super Mario Run.

I remember being surprised that Nintendo used just The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening as the title for the remake, no other subtitle that would ease new fans confusion on if it was the follow up to BotW lol. Even used BotW’s updated font for the logo.

I guess they just trust the consumer more now to know what’s what

Yeah, I don't want the Koopalings to just disappear into the ether for another 10 years again. Just do cooler things with them and bring back more older characters on top of that. The Mario franchise doesn't need more characters kicked to the curb.

Man, I'm conflicted. I want to trust this Pyoro_ND person, but I'm afraid of getting bamboozled by another WaddleDeeKnows situation.
 
Yeah, shocking if they dropped the bros. part from 2D Mario, especially like previously mentioned because of the movie.

Maybe it's just "Super Mario Bros. Wonderland" or something.

Don’t get what’s wrong here. I’ve eaten Pikachu a couple times, mostly at some local hole-in-the-wall joints. It has a nice texture, but it’s a little too gamey for my tastes. Imo Togedemaru tastes better, but it’s hard to cook right.

He was our great leader in uncertainty and braved the storm by always being confident the Direct would come this month.
Also he made a bet about being banned if it doesn't happen.

Offsite people now think he is an insider because of his confidence.
RGT85 mentioned him on the spawncast that nate is on sometimes.

As someone who has been looking at Zelink content daily since the game came out, I can confirm this is absolutely not true in the world of fanarts and fanfictions.

Chrono is zippo and of course he’s lol tier at this point. SMRPG, Nate said he’s just skeptical from Square’s side. I don’t think he’s really agains the idea

He's not against, but he doesn't believe it.

Still feel Pyoro is one of those case of getting some stuff right in the past, and then only being fed fake infos and flying too close to the sun. It happened so many times during the Switch era lol.

Don’t know what I’d do if the Koopalings faded into obscurity again. No MK roster bloat? No fighting the same 7* bosses at the end of every world? Bowser Jr. gets cool alts in Smash? Sounds terrible.

* I don’t even remember how many Koopalings there are, which is a testament to how forg- AHEM important they are to the series.

Definitely a weird take. At least half of my switch friends list is still playing. I'm still playing. My close friends/family are still playing. And when I say still playing, like all are over 100 hours in and still playing. That doesn't happen often.

It's been consuming my free time so much that I didn't even keep up with this Direct hype cycle.
