I mean it’s still a rumor. And even if, Metroid was also more prominent in the last Direct than Mario which is kinda crazy. Also, I’m kinda glad that Microsoft is looking for other tentpole IPs, especially after Infinite.

Season 4 of Infinite is coming out next week and it was not featured in any of the Xbox Showcases even when other GaaS titles were there. So my post was more a commentary on that.
 
I love that nintendo put out their game of the decade tears of the kingdom, then just went to sleep while the rest of the industry partied this week lol. They will come back in 2 or 3 months, and be like “yeah, that stuff was kinda cool, but here’s a 3d mario”

They're from Vanpool, not HAL. HAL assist Vanpool but they mostly do the new and big releases. Vanpool got axed few days ago.

Paper Mario TTYD HD, F-Zero GX HD, 2D Mario, Soul Calibur Trilogy existing, MGS Trilogy coming to Switch, Pokemon on Gameboy NSO*, Super Smash Bros 64 on NSO in 2023* (*not a rumor, just wishful thinking)

Tbh I don't know which rumor not coming true would hurt me more but none of them being acknowledged in a future Direct could very well send me on a downward spiral

honestly they should literally do a “Nostalgia Direct” where they just announce remakes/remasters/collections

I've been wanting to start a "Nostalgia Direct" thread where we go through the archives and review nearly a full decade+ of Directs in chronological order... But I honestly don't have the time to lead that thread

There's a part of me too shy to admit this, because there's no real need for remasters when we should be clamoring for new experiences...but GOD YES PLEASE FUCK IT'S ALL I CRAVE. THE GAMECUBE LIBRARY NEEDS TO BE IN HD WITH BEAN BUTTON CONTROLLERS AND SUPERIOR ANALOG TRIGGERS THAT HAVE YET TO BE SURPASSED SINCE 2001.

This feels like a Twilight Zone twist where I am also the random person and I am stuck watching the same direct until the end of time.
