Missing out on Among Us makes me so sad. Some pals played it and I chose not to because I didn't want to play on my phone, and now everyone has moved on and had a blast without me. Don't make the same mistake I did (next time there's a big zeitgeisty game burning brightly and quickly).
manifesting a chrono cross remaster/remake
I hope that some day soon I can be playing it again and completely ignoring the discourse, living my best life.

I feel bad for @NateDrake with the whole Halo debacle and the reception he's receiving now. People literally have no chill or understanding of how insider information works.

Sorry you're going through this <3

I shouldn't have touched it.

The MS Store and Pringles have scrubbed their data and countdown; yet, I'm a liar. Or people could see those events and realize something may have been delayed last minute and the release is being adjusted slightly.

Gaming is the only community that wants transparency and then complains when it gets it.

Hmmm does this look like a face we can trust?

I mean, that smiling peice of shit markets them as potato & they are mostly non-potato product.
Exactly, that's my point.

Plus, look at that mustache. You just know he has a very illegal hobby like poaching rhinos.

I would completely understand if you never gave any tidbits or hints ever again. Even when you're correct 99% of the time and even are correct on changes, you get lambasted. People only want to remember the misses, never the hits and its nonsense.

Not to even mention the harassing comments.....

Hey so just to, uh, push the Pringles stuff further up the page, when I was reading about the Act 1 to Act 2 shift in DQXI people said one of the ways "you'll know" is that the title screen will shift to something that'll make it obvious. And mine hasn't? It just cycles through the different locations you visit and plays the same theme song it always did. Does anyone know what the "Act 2 title screen" thing is supposed to be, or were people were just being improbably dishonest on the internet?

then you haven't reached it

it's after the world tree. it's a pretty major plot event, hence why people call it an obvious act end/beginning

Damn I was hoping it was a subway sandwich.

I never noticed anything with the title screen. Then again I usually don't play more than one game at once so I had no need to exit DQXIS when I played it.

But I'm waaay past the world tree. I'm at the point where I'm revisiting the cities to track down the party members, and already have everyone back except the twins.
You're in Act 2 then, not sure what the title screen shift is supposed to be

Since you're already that far, I can ask you about the Switch vignette additions:

While I like them on the whole, and it's nice to see what your characters go through in between the acts, I also feel like it spoils the mood a little. In the original version, right after the world tree is destroyed the game moves to you as a fish, and then all the events of the Last Bastion. It really creates an air of darkness, depression, and despair (at least for a DQ game) before the game gets a little more hopeful once you move on to further areas. I think overall I prefer the original game for that, since the little stories are also mostly unnecessary, but they ARE still nice and well done, so... I'm torn.

I like the stories myself. probably could have been placed differently to help with the pacing

The worst thing about Pringles is the fact that you can't reach the chips at the bottom of the tube. You need to dump them out if you want them, which psychologically drives you to just finish them all, thus shortening the amount of time you get from one tube and making you buy more.

Pringles are such a scam.

Question... has the world moved on from Among Us?

I know it won't go away completely, it blew up way too big for that, but it just kind of feels like it's really over. Like we're living in a post "sus" society.

Btw happy weekend to everyone! But especially to the lurkers. Take it easy out there.
I can confirm that I have been obliterated

Same here. I appreciate what they were doing by giving us a chance to see how the characters got to where they are when we re-meet them, and certainly the first one (with Sylvando) felt appropriately jarring, dark, and alienating after the events of the world tree so that kinda still works. BUT. There was a part about halfway through them where I had this feeling of "oh I see what they're doing now" as far as setting everyone up to where Hero will find them, and from that point on I was kinda more interested in just getting through them than I was in seeing what all was going on with the characters. I guess it probably took a bit of the surprise out of finding them, but on the other hand it made the eventual shift to Fishyboi that much weirder, and helped give it a feeling of more time having passed.

Although... shit. Yall don't say anything, but I just realized there wasn't a vignette for the twins. 😳 And I'm coincidentally on my way to revisit Arboria right now so uh... huh. Guess I'll see.

I wonder if they could have done it like where when you get a character back, you then have a flashback to how they got to where they were or something? So they'd be spaced out more? Not sure that's better but it's an idea
oh so that's why I always dare to be stupid
No that's Weird Al
