So i completed TOTK and it's my GOTY.

Hats off to the team.

If you don't mind me asking some questions:

1. Is the Triforce in the story at all? Don't want actual story spoilers beyond that.
2. Is that story bigger and more fulfilling then BOTW? More cutscenes?
3. The world is much larger then in BOTW but is there plenty to do in Hyrule still making it worth revisiting everywhere?
4. Can you build towns/settlements?

yall realize the game having leaked means people are able to play it right? it's not like it's just some exclusive group of elite hackers and dataminers that are able to access it and disseminate the information to everyone else lol....
(though that user is definitely going to be banned for admitting to have done so on here...)

I never thought a specific group of people only have the game. I’m just wondering if the poster is joking or not. Anyone could get a copy of the game prior to release.

So, question about image quality: how is it? Is it as clean as it is in the screenshots that the Zelda Twitter account has been posting?

If someone wants to get excited without looking at any spoilers just look at this :

Not sure if anyone would know this yet, but...

I've heard the Amiibo weapons/bows/shields are also acquirable without Amiibo this time. I'd imagine they won't make them a one-off thing, but how can you acquire them again once they break? I figure they either respawn, they can be repaired like Champion weapons, or they can be bought after you acquire them the first time like the Hylian Shield in BotW. But I don't know if anyone knows how it's done.

I didn't play it, so it's not an answer, but...
It would be nice if the "test of strength" shrines this time had Dark Links inside them, using those amiibo weapons and dropping them after defeat. And since we're here, had the red moon respawn them as well.

You know what, I do have something else I want to ask besides the HD Rumble question—is there either any kind of weapon storage or a way to repair durability this time so that I don’t have to worry about my inventory being full of amiibo weapons that I want to keep but not risk breaking?

So I have thoughts about this image. I don't know quite where to put this speculation, so I'll just leave it here. I basically don't know what these things are (haven't seen any spoilers about it), but I have a pretty good guess. Please if you know the answer, don't tell me if I'm right or wrong. Also, if you feel this doesn't belong here, let me know and I'll delete it.

Double spoilering to be safe! I'm convinced these are Zonai shrines. In fact, I think that Sheika shrines are supposed to be pale imitations of these, because these are so advanced that there's not really a door, which means they probably teleport you to where the shrine challenge takes place rather than being a glorified elevator entrance like the Sheika shrines are (notice how this floating island isn't that deep to accommodate a big ol "test" structure/facility). So yeah, I just think it's funny that the Sheika, who everyone is in awe of because of their advanced tech, are probably scrubs compared to the Zonai, who they tried so hard to imitate.

I like hearing from people who didn’t like BotW as much say they really like TOTK.
I've also been hearing the opposite. People who love BotW dont like TotK.

Obviously only time will tell from your own experiences. But hype is subjective. Keep it cool and you probably won't get disappointed.

That being said, next week is too far away

I mean just how many people are playing it and providing feedback? All I see is overwhelming positivity, signs of having listened to fans etc. Of course somebody is going to like the original more, but are we anywhere near making the statement that “People that love BotW don’t like TotK”, or is it just HatenoHackerXx87 that’s coming in with a spicy take?

I’m enjoying the enthusiasm about it without the specifics. Of course it could end up not living up to these newly set expectations, but given just how challenging it was to expect anything specific even a couple months ago I don’t mind what’s happened here.

Yeah Im really wondering if Zelda fans who didn’t like BOTW will enjoy this game.

Lots of very specific reasons some didn’t like BotW. For example, friend enjoyed the game but fell off at two divine beasts because it’s story hook was just too weak for him to keep caring.

If you didn't like the core design of BotW I can't imagine how you would enjoy TotK. But there's any number of reasons why someone wouldn't like BotW.

eh even with core design stuff it depends why you didn't like the core design

for example I didn't really care for BotWs world in general because it felt so empty whereas this just flat out looks like it has a lot more to do in it

i'm sure there's some people who liked BotW that probably liked that emptiness but I imagine that's not really something that will negatively impact most people who did like it

I suppose I just meant the overarching design philosophy. Like the idea of go anywhere and solve puzzles how you want. Like if you are looking for a more curated experience I don't think this game is going to deliver on that (though it does have more, better linear sequences).

it's definitely still very much a sequel type of thing yeah

but just because something didn't work for someone doesn't mean it can't work if enough stuff is iterated on and it's executed differently

like i'm sure there's some people out there who just want the series to go back to exactly what it was and nothing else will ever be good enough for them but a lot of us mostly disliked BotW for stuff like the world feeling empty and samey to us, the lack of dungeons etc and those are things that can be and seemingly have been very much improved upon without changing the core formula too drastically

it all just feels a lot more fully realized so to speak and I feel like most people who CAN be satisfied by anything less than a drastic formula change likely will be here

Not sure if this is a spoiler, but does anyone know what the amiibo do? I have a chart, but I'm not sure how accurate it is.
I was curious if the Young Link amiibo gave you the Hero Of Time armor and Big Goron Sword this time or if it was still locked to the Adult Link amiibo.
Come on, your answer is right there in front of you, TAG YOUR SPOILERS

Mod edit: Tag Spoiler in quote

Might have to ask a mod to add "TAG EVERYTHING" in the title because clearly nobody reads the (concise!) OP.

Any update yet on whether there's a hero's path equivalent?

The more I poke away at my final completion on botw the more I rely on it... though I suppose I could see a pretty valid case made for them to not include it at launch and add it in a patch / season pass again.

It's in the base game

Apparently it's one of the upgrades you can get for the new Shiekah Slate

Is there a lot more Zonai parts then what we have seen from the officially released footage?
I've heard there are quite a few more, but not sure how many in total or how many comparatively to what we've seen

The list I saw included stuff that has been seen in trailers as Devices that weren't shown (like the big wheels on the car in the February trailer and the lasers on the wheel device in the latest trailer), but there were still quite a few entirely new ones
