Kotor is one of my all time favorite games and the fact more people have a chance to play it is good for me. I still have my Xbox disc that I could use on my soon to be series x, but having a non mobile portable way to play it is good enough for me.

I am also excited for the remake.

I'm gonna go against the grain and say that on Switch I primarily go physical. The carts are small enough to carry around, especially since I also bring around my charger. I also like the cases and the feel of collecting the physical media. But more importantly, and more specifically for Switch, the games are still run from the cart, not downloaded onto the system like with PlayStation and Xbox. This saves a lot of room for digital only games - I'm still halfway through my 400 GB card, and only two of my games - Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which I only got digitally because my physical preorder was delayed, and Captain Toad, which I own physically on Wii U, started as retail titles.

I'm feeling the struggle with Pokemon BDSP. The initial patch is 3 GB and substantially finishes the game's content, defeating the purpose of the cart, but all my other Pokemon games are physical, and I still feel the urge to have the cart and box for the collection. A first world problem, far from the worst problem to have, but it's something I think about.
I totally get wanting to keep building a collection, it's one thing I get jealous of sometimes. But I went all digital a while back and only buy physical games here and there, so I don't really have a collection anymore.

Kotor 2 is only better with the restored content mod on pc. I can not go back to that game without that mod. It makes it a much better experience if you ask me
I had the restored content mod, but since that was my first time playing it, I don't know what I would have missed. but I'd still say Kotor 1 was better. a lot of my problems were stuff like level design, encounter design, and pacing. whoo boy that pacing was bad. all a result of the dev cycle, but it doesn't make that stuff any less inferior to me

Can understand that. I do like Kotor 1 more for the personal impact it left on me till this day. Goo

Yeah, I've been lucky to be able to still do it nowadays. I also understand the impulse to just...get rid of it, use the space for other things and declutter. Digital collections are still collections! They're your games that you enjoy and curate, and that's what most important at the end of the day.

@Suswave the more I look at my new avi the more I love it. I may be the one true Metroid they, but you're the one true make my day they
other than my partner but they're not on this forum 😅

I bought KOTOR for $2 on Steam like a decade ago but I barely touched it.

I guess I should get around to playing it lol.

Are you saying they've done the "on vehicle for delivery for multiple days" thing and your packages did eventually show up? Because that would be a comfort.
Yup, I did have that happen to me with one of them and it did eventually get delivered. Most the time since, however, my packages have seemed to be stuck at distribution centers and post offices and my delivery date will keep slipping (as in it’ll say expected to be delivered [today’s date] by 9pm until the next day when it’ll update and say the same thing but with the current date.)

I want to say that my “out for delivery” one came on like the 3rd “out for delivery” day. If it stretches much longer than that, I’d try to pester them again until you get some answers.

Do you happen to know if your package is coming FedEx SmartPost?

I actually don't know what SmartPost is. 😅 And yeah, today is my third "out for delivery" day and I've got someone at corporate saying they're tracking down the route manager, which sounds promising at least. But my faith is kinda waning.

I played and beat KOTOR 2 on Xbox first and then went back and tried to play the first, but put it down halfway through.

I don’t know if I was just fatigued and ready to move on or if I missed what I perceived as improvements from 2, but I’m happy to hear that it plays well on Switch and so many of you have a high opinion of the game. I’ll have to pick it up and give it a fresh go!

I know Aspyr's next Star Wars port is gonna be KOTOR II but I wish they skipped that and brought Star Wars Force Unleashed to Switch. It's literally the best Jedi action game I've ever played. Slicing an AT-ST into two was satisfying as hell.

@chocolate_supra
SmartPost is where it goes FedEx until it gets closer to you and then gets transferred to the USPS to bring it the rest of the way. (Only reason I asked is because my tracking usually gets funky on those types of deliveries. If they are talking to a route manager, it sounds like it’s probably going FedEx the whole way, though.)

I really hope they get it sorted out and it shows up soon, man!

Dude I just got the delivery confirmation. You are magic.

Be funny if we get to a February Direct and Nintendo pull out the "let's talk about Metroid Prime 4 again, but only as a prelude to revealing a different Metroid title" and then they reveal Prime HD.

Or it could be a TGA reveal...
To build on this:

September 2020 - Nintendo announce Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity without showing Breath of the Wild 2

February 2021 - Nintendo announce Skyward Sword HD without showing Breath of the Wild 2

June 2021 - Breath of the Wild 2 is allowed

June 2021 - Nintendo announce Metroid Dread without showing Metroid Prime 4

December 2021 or February 2022 - Nintendo announce Metroid Prime HD without showing Metroid Prime 4

June 2022 - Metroid Prime 4 is allowed

The Playdate news has me thinking; what was the name of that console coming out that would play GameBoy and GameBoyAdvance games? Is that out yet?

I saw someone this morning on Twitter say they can't wait to watch twitch in 240p on their switch and I have been laughing ever since.

Hey folks,

I wanted to drop a link to the finalized guidelines we put up a few days ago in case you haven't seen them. This isn't directed at any recent things in particular, we just wanted to make sure they were visible to everyone as this is the most active thread on the forum. Please give them a look when you have the time, and if you have any feedback, drop by R&D to discuss.

HAPPY SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI V DAY EU FAMI <3

I had 17 euro in gold points and I ended up buying all the DLCs. Considering it was a voucher title I paid a grand total of 56 euro for the game + all the DLCs (minus the 3 for farming).

Multiplayer/multiplayer-focused games (Pokemon, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Monster Hunter, Animal Crossing) or games I seemingly play regularly (RFA if it was an option 😒) I get digital. Otherwise single player games that I cycle through once they're finished (Zelda, Paper Mario, 3DAS, LM3, etc) I buy physical copies.

Goddamn, really eh? Learn something new everyday lol

I could only imagine the stories shared among devs there haha

Shit hot FIRE 🔥🔥🔥 Holy fuck that goes HARD

I retract my doubts; GX OST > X OST
Nah, the F-Zero X Guitar Arranged album completely destroys GX.

Speaking of German, I named one of first horses in BOTW Pferdinand. Was I original or is that a common name? It's a pretty obvious one so someone has to have thought of it before.

And I would like to spare a thought for the poor people at Duolingo. Sure there's a lot of decisions that are questionable and not infrequently implementations are flawed, but geez that discussion forum. Must be so disheartening for a dev to read the wall of complaining.

How the hell did you get that many games lmao. You got an SD card as well, right?

Oh god, I think I might buy Mario Kart 8 again.
I had it on WiiU and have resisted rebuying it this entire time. I want to be strong and wait for Mario Kart Next.

I want to. But it is so tempting. 😫

I will absolutely cave in a heart beat tho if they add any kind of DLC expansion type thing to it. And at full price too. lol

This is exactly how I feel. I too am a physical collector for the Switch. I've got a wall of Switch games and have double dipped too many times to count.

But with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, I have two reasons that, together, have made me decide to not purchase them on day 1...

- it's not all on the cart

- nintendo's been putting updated versions on carts months down the line

So this time I'll hold out and and buy it digitally. I'll check in later to see if they're putting out complete versions on cart and consider getting it then.

Ubisoft turning everything they do in a live-service title to milk be like

We know what happens and it's them selling you NFTs

What a haul! Congrats!

Thank you all!!! 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Well I bought it second hand(1,5 year old), and it came with all those games bought. I think the guy was desperate to sell lol. Oh yeah I NEED an SD card lol. But most games are installed already.
I got it for 2100 reais(a bit less than 400 dollars) which is really a huge deal considering the amount of games it's coming with lol.
