I’m big on new year resolutions, and this year, I’m doing no replays. No old stuff. Prioritise new stuff, and the backlog.

My video game new years resolution is to finally play Chrono Trigger on my Switch.

Does anyone else have video game-related new year resolutions?

I’m big on new year resolutions, and this year, I’m doing no replays. No old stuff. Prioritise new stuff, and the backlog.

I say every year for the past three years now that I will clear out my backlog to a reasonable number. So let's see how far I get this year as I totally did not get close last year.

I did beat Cult of the Lamb this morning and I'm actually in the mood to play like 7 other games from the backlog. It's a nice feeling wanting to play games again, cause I really really did not have that feeling last year. That really caused my backlog list to blow up.

So who knows how long this feeling will last, but I'm hoping to get the backlog in the single digits by the end of the year.

I finally "beat" the game by getting all large flowers in all 10 worlds and beating the level to unlock the credits. But... there's still a ton more left that I haven't done! It's on my list to get to this year for sure.

Final Fantasy XVI is set to release this year, which means Yoshi-P needs your support now more than ever. Cheer him on as he gives it his all down the stretch!

Also! Development is picking up speed on the title I’m producing, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth I’m sure many of your collective imaginations are running wild trying to picture how we’ll recreate some of the game’s most iconic scenes, and we’ll have more to share about that when the time is right.

A remake of Final Fantasy IX and a remastered version of Final Fantasy Tactics appeared on a list of games leaked by NVIDIA back in September 2021. Many of those games have since been announced, including Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamer Edition, Kingdom Hearts IV, and Tactics Ogre: Reborn.

Spike Chunsoft has already announced Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE for Switch, as well as the PlayStation 5 physical edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition and Switch version of ARK: Survival Evolved (in Japan), but there is more to come.

“Additionally, we’re preparing unannounced large-scale title(s),” Spike Chunsoft said. “We will likely be able to make an announcement in the not-so-distant future. Spike Chunsoft will be running through 2023 like a rabbit, so please continue to give us your support.”
