Started yet another new file on Dark Souls Remastered, when I could be playing any other game

I feel like my visual processing is slightly better today, so hopefully I'm able to game tonight.
Apparently it's pretty typical for benzo withdrawal to rise and fall in waves.
Still kinda terrified waiting on my CT results, (5 days to go) but at least if they're clear it'll be a huge load off my mind.

Once again really glad this year has been so packed with releases as it turns out I've needed a lot of distraction!

It's a game I have gone back to several times, getting farther every time, but I still haven't completely finished it. Always rewarding, though.

Very slowly, because I don't find nearly as much time to play as I would like. Gonna wrap up Chapter 1 today, hopefully.

Will be a challenge for me to finish my playthrough before FE at my current pace, but with the holidays coming up soonish, I should manage.

How do you like it so far?

The duality of life.

On one hand, i want Pokemon now.
On the other hand, it's thursday aka the most busy day of the week for me and i'm very likely falling asleep on the couch early evening, so no time or energy to actually play it.
 
Please, sweet and noble friends, desist with the recommending of videogames. I am already sprawled, unmoving, over the golden hoard of many videogames, in my dank cave deep beneath a mountain that once housed a dwarven kingdom of old; instead of using my hoard I simply eat salmon.

and by this I mean I spent all my gaming time yesterday on Salmon Run despite the weapon set being truly terrible instead of making any progress in any other game
 
Sorry @MisterSpo directly above me, I’m also here to strongly recommend Lunistice. I’m roughly halfway through and the game is a blast. Really excellent sense of speed and flow and the off the main road optional challenges are all great. Don’t sleep on this one 3D platformer fans.

Also played both Elechead and Blossom Tales II these last few days and recommend them too!
 
Do you guys have a game you love on paper, but in reality you keep ignoring it in favor of other titles? Because it's currently happening to me with Mario+Rabbids (the first one), and it is kinda blowing my mind because nothing similar had happened to me before.

Do I like how it looks? Yes. Do I like the gameplay? Yes. Do I like the humor? (mostly) Yes.

Do I forget about it at the drop of a hat and focus instead on whatever else is on my Switch's home menu at the time? Yes.
 
Gosh, you guys are really selling me on Lunistice...but now I gotta find the time to play it. After the Odyssey playthrough (at around 800 moons now!) I'll get to it.
 
I've whittled down my wishlist of games I'm keeping an eye on for holiday sales. Gonna try not to break the bank.

Here I am a peasant thinking of his backlog like a nice wine cellar. Totally feeling these vibes right now. Been thinking a lot lately about my backlog that goes back to the PS1 era if not older 😭

Oh gods yes. Usually not specific titles, but genres or series. Like Point & Click adventures, Maxis games, Heroes of Might & Magic series, Picross series, beat-em-ups... I could go on. It's the worst.

These two responses have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Nope. No way at all. Uh huh.
 
Baba Is You is the rare game where I had no qualms looking up occasional hints. It's so rewarding seeing where it ends up going that I just can't be bothered feeling bad I didn't come up with it on my own

@Raccoon it sounds like you still have a fair way to go, to be honest. It gets even better. You're in for a treat

ironically this is the fastest a puzzle game has ever become "stare at a screen until I figure out what I can even try to do"

I might drop it honestly, I'm getting nowhere

Nintendo usually has the big sale start on Wednesday if I remember correctly. I would imagine all of the publisher sales will start rolling out at 9 Thursday like usual. Unless you’re in a different region then I am not sure the usual sale update times.
 
This is the first year I've paid any attention to Black Friday sales, are we expecting anymore deals on the Switch OLED? Dell has it at MSRP with a $75 gift card, do you think I should pull the trigger now or wait and see if anyone beats that? Advice appreciated.

Depends, do you need a new Switch? Or do you absolutely want it?

If not, i'd say you wait a bit longer, as there's a (imo) good chance Nintendo announces the Drake (Pro) model early 2023.

We know Nintendo is doing the OG switch MK8 bundle again. I assume retailers will stick to that. Will have to wait until they release their ads in full to know. I am doubting SwOLED is going to be on any deals this year
 
Finally finished Made in Abyss Season 2. What a wholesome, fun adventure. Makes you want to go out on an epic quest with your friends and create wonderful memories.
 
When the OLED was first announced, I thought Nintendo would have slowly phased out the OG Switch leaving only the Lite and the OLED. But then again, I thought there would have been a price drop by now. OG Switch sales are still going strong and funnily, the OLED has done more to phase out Lite. They're still making Lites of course but it seems those would have bought a Lite are just now going for the OLED.

But... but... you'd be missing out on so much

I'm not saying look at the hints for every puzzle. Just ones which are stopping you from making progress. There's some really cool shit later that you want to at least see

My plan used to be waiting until my birthday in February to see if ""Drake"" was announced in that time frame, but, well.... Despite how many awesome games I still have in my 3DS backlog, after five and a half years the Switch hype has bioaccumulated in my body, like microplastic.

I’ve been getting back to Legacy of the Dualist on my PS5 lately having tons of fun.

That during my work day, my co-worker said something like she’s “Gonna cast a spell on me” and I reposended by saying I’m activating Judgement of Anubis on her.

The dumbfounded expression on her was pretty funny and worth it. Even tho I sounded pretty ridiculous. But I work graveyard shifts. Sometimes it’s expected to be too tired to think before you say something lol.

The town they stopped at was so cozy. The villagers were a bit weird but they were very friendly. And the local cuisine is to die for.

I don't think using help to get through part of it would prepare me for what's to come. If I can't do it I can't do it and would much rather come back to it later and see if my thinking has improved.

Pokémon tomorrow let's goooo, I've unfortunately seen a good amount of Pokémon already through twitter and stuff but I definitely don't have them memorized I don't think any of them are evolutions, so all in all pretty good I'd say! And then only 3 weeks later I'll get Dragon Quest Treasures, hope I'll be able to finish the Pokémon Story by then but I assume I will

For Baba is You, you can't git gud, you have to be smart. Which is why i'm avoiding the game!

A true gamer doesn't play a game on Day 1. They wait a few days for the online guides to pop up and let others deal with the frustrating bullshit.
 
Woo, after Amazon not getting Splatoon 3 or Persona 5 Royal to me on their release dates, they are getting Scarlet to me tomorrow.
