Nah but for real I did wake up with this stuck in my head

Aside from Roar of Dedede, this is the best thing I've heard in months

Famiboards going woke, gonna go broke
Broke like @Bonejack's back

I vividly remember people online and in my friend group complaining about how Netflix was starting to put stuff online, when I was thinking it made way more sense and would be a much more stable business model.

Kinda wish I was into investing at that stage of my life.
I remember thinking Netflix streaming was incredible because it seemed to be a one-stop shop for a decades-long catalogue of films, most of which were very, very difficult to get ahold of. Then Hulu came up and was the same thing for current and old television series, and I liked that too. Then Netflix started dabbling in series and Hulu started dabbling in movies. Then both started jettisoning the classic stuff and focusing on originals. And now there are dozens of splintered-off services. Dozens. So everything I thought was brilliant about streaming is now fucked.

The important thing is that it feels cheaper than cable!

Does anyone know if the Pokemon S/V ST thread will be in Treehouse or Pokemon Center? I am guessing Pokemon Center but just wanted to confirm.
I don’t know for sure but I’d expect it to be in Pokemon Center

Gonna just use bland and generic freeware portraits unless/until I can hire/fund actual artists.
There is always the “draw them poorly but make it canon” approach, otherwise known as the Grögol Bonanza

Well I'm locked in a bullshit area where Comcast charges me $200 per month for the cheapest TV/internet combo available, so I dunno what normal people get charged for cable 😅😅😅

I have no sympathy for Hollywood executives. They had a good system going where I would have happily subscribed to two, maybe three streaming services for movies and TV shows, both traditional and original programming.

They only have to look in the mirror for why piracy has made such a comeback.

Ugh I hate when ISPs have the local government in their pocket. I was able to cut out the TV portion of my plan to get it to a decent $50 a month for on average 35MBPS internet. Not amazing but that plus a couple subscriptions (and sharing some other subscriptions with some family) is a good deal cheaper than cable was.

...I was kinda assuming it would be in Treehouse and then be moved to Pokémon Center later on. I'm pretty sure threads for the Pokémon games should be going into Treehouse and then get moved after time has passed, no?

Confusion like this is probably the one big disadvantage of the split forum system. Like it's neat that Pokémon as a multimedia franchise has a board, but it sort of isolates the game based stuff from the rest of the forum - kinda like the franchise's treatment in real life compared to the other Nintendo games, now that I think about it.

Yeah, I find the additional boards to be a solution looking for a problem to be honest

It's not a big deal but there are some minor teething issues like this and I'm not sure I totally see the benefit

(Just my opinion of course)

will such threads not just be visible in both forums? I saw something like that happening back when they were first introduced and it was glitchy, but I was under the impression it was intended unless I misunderstood.

I thought I saw one of the admins say that was an intended feature that they abandoned because of how glitchy it was, but I may be mistaken

HEY!

Just a quick boost for the Mario Kart 8 150cc time trial tournament - entries close in a few hours so this is your last chance to sign up. I didn't create this event but I'm looking forward to it!

AFAIK, you don't have to race at a specific time. You can get your time whenever is convenient and then share a screenshot.

The skill level is also mixed - I know, because I'm signed up and I haven't played a lot since the Wii U days. You are definitely good enough to take part!

Sign up here!

I was asking because I was not sure myself. You could be right. I wasn't necessarily lobbying a complain, however.

Hey, that's an intriguing idea. Like there being a main forum and then sub-forums that work like smart filters. I have zero technical experience (or forum-running experience lol) so I don't even know if that could even work.

The thread will be visible in both forums, as is the goal with all major threads relevant to multiple forums.

Been playing Death's Door recently and I really feel like that "Guy who has only seen Boss Baby" meme but with Indie Metroidvanias and Hollow Knight... I just can't help but feel "this gives me Hollow Knight vibes" all the time.

I will be posting it in the Treehouse, per the forum rules. It's up to the staff to make it appear in the Pokemon Center as well.

I just found out that the mother of my gf will be living with us for 2 weeks again from friday on. Dont get me wrong helping the family is always good but damn i hate losing my privacy. Only "positive" friday is also pokemon day and with my gf being more busy with her mum that means more time to game for me.

I think I'm going to forgo Pokemon for now, mostly because of my dislike of Spain due to my former office manager being from there
I'm kidding

But seriously, there's a lot of other stuff I have to play and want to play in the mean time. I have yet to start Bayonetta 3. Kirby and the Forgotten Land is on its way. I'm still plugging along at Persona 5 Royal. And I'm probably going to get Cyberpunk 2077 to try out my new Xbox Series S. And if there are decent deals, I want to pick up Star Ocean The Divine Force and Tactics Ogre.

Then in 2023, it's straight into Fire Emblem, then Octopath 2, then finally Zelda.

CAUTION! To avoid irritation to your skin and/or damage to the control stick, do not rotate it with the palm of your hand. Rotate the control stick with your thumb or by holding it between your thumb and forefinger.

btw don't try launching Pokemon Scarlet (or Violet) early

it wont work

I know because I've tried

on an hourly basis
I'm not an expert, but I have just had a scotch and so I feel compelled to suggest that you place your face very firmly against the television screen and, as loudly as you can, shout REVEAL YOUR SECRETS TO ME at it. Be sure the Switch is on and docked when you try this.
Fire Emblem Enrage, also known as "the 3H fanbase after a new Engage trailer is released".
I feel seen. I'm definitely getting Engage and I'm sure I'll find a lot to enjoy.

Thought about cooking tonight but:
  • What exactly?
  • Do I have all the ingredients?
  • What if I mess up?
  • Will I be able to accidentally poison myself?
  • Will I regret cooking one thing and longing for something else after cooking?
  • What about the dishes? It ain't gonna wash itself.

In short:
