I wouldn’t be too concerned about that. Outside of the cities they’ve removed or altered the default Tour ramps in Booster Course Pass so far; on Sky Garden, Coconut Mall and Mushroom Gorge for sure off the top of my head. Don’t think they’ll leave them as is on Boo Lake, looking as jarring as they do.

Oh, I didn't know that! That's a relief. Not knowing they had removed them before, I thought about Kalimari Desert and thought they would be in, but I guess that track makes sense with different laps and Boo Lake not as much.

If you are talking about the upper path on the last turn, it is actually used on the T, R, and R/T variant in Tour.
I know it's used in the alternative routes, but it seems strange despite that! Other courses would just stick a big floating girder there. In the trick variants half of it has a girder on top of it anyway!

Random Tour speculation follows:

November 2022: Autumn Tour ending with Munich.
January 2023: Europe/History Tour? ending with Athens.
March: Yoshi Tour ending with Yoshi's Island.
May: Theme Park tour with Water Park and Orlando.
July: Summer tour ending with a new underwater course.
Septemper: Anniversary tour with a new track from BCP6.
November/December-ish remaininng two unknown BCP6 courses.

I'm just going off the datamined course initials in tour, which may not give the full picture but if we assume the 6 new MK Tour tracks match the 6 unknown BCP tracks, the city should be either the one named 'mu', 'md', or 'dk'. Alternative options could be Mumbai, Madrid, or.. Copenhagen I guess?
And while a second city for Germany does sound strange, I think that if we're assuming a third U.S. city, then all bets are off.
The US is almost certainly the largest market for the game, so I don’t think it’s terribly strange.

If MU ends up being a city track, I have a hard time imagining it being anything but Mumbai.

Yeah Kalimari Desert is a special case since it starts pulling from the Trick variant in Lap 2 to differenciate it a little more from Lap 1 (on top of following the Kalimari Desert 2 route). Quickly gathered up screenshots of the examples I mentioned now that I could; very lazy and ugly.

There's another removed later on Coconut Mall too; but Mushroom Gorge does keep one earlier in the track, so it isn't a perfect record. I think the Boo Lake ramps stand out too much from the theme of the track to stick around though.

Kind of just hit for me if Wave 3 with Merry Mountain arrives in time for Christmas as it should, we are less than two months away from Wave 3!

I’m getting hungry again for new tracks as the Rock and Moon icons are taunting me and I really want to play Rock Rock Mountain! I think the last week of November and the first two weeks of December is the window for when it drops, how are you all feeling? What tracks are you excited for most?

I don’t think the week of 11/11 is infeasible. Still anticipating 11/25 though, given how the previous two waves were tied to their “new” tracks showing up in Tour.

Really looking forward to the Moon Cup, Berlin Byways looks much more interesting now that we know there will (probably) be traffic and 3DS Rainbow Road is the best track in the series IMO.

It's 100% releasing on the 25th. Or at least around that point. And I'm actually looking forward to London Loop and 3DS Rainbow Road the most! I couldn't decide lol

I wonder how much Nintendo will update the previous tracks this time around? The last wave showed that they're not against updating released tracks.

Vancouver 3 + New York Battle is what i’ve been expecting; so not surprised. The Mii costume is a Moo Moo though which opens up only interesting possibilities for the next course.

There’s no ID gap right now that works for Moo Moo Farms or Moo Moo Meadows, so… Madrid? Bull fighting? We’ll have to see…

Is it just me, or does the wording of the tweet weird? I guess they're just saying that every track is a North American city, but you'd think they'd be a bit more specific. Not to mention that they blanked the tour when they initially revealed it, which seems weird given the contents.

Also kinda weird that the entire tour is revolving around just three cities, but I guess they're considering the NYM battle map separate from the actual race track.

I feel like the wave 2 tracks all released in great shape, definitely more than the wave 1 courses. I wonder though if they might adjust the time question mark blocks disappear for again and make it a smidge longer. I feel they changed it for Waluigi Pinball, but it feels off for the rest when you can’t block someone for grabbing the double item blocks.

If I could pick an update for a wave 2 track, I’d adjust/remove the railing underneath the jump section of Skyhigh Sundae. It’s super weird you can just drive through it. Either make it solid or remove it entirely.

I was more referring to the wave 1 tracks. I'm wondering if they'll update the bushes and grass with the textures made for Peach Gardens.

Oh yeah if they touch wave 1 again, Toad Circuit’s grass better be the first priority.

RatgorlHunter, who was accurate about all wave 2 tracks, claims Waluigi Stadium AND Wario Colosseum both aren’t in wave 3

Possibly Nintendo swapped some spots within the Booster Course Pass?

We can never fully rule out a reshuffle, but I think it’s super unlikely. If you were expecting to have a track done eight months down the road, you can’t just suddenly get it done in four months easily. Tracks are the hardest things to construct in a racing game even if these are being built off existing assets. Later waves might not match the banner / prefix leak, but the most recent leak being from the music files makes those a harder lock.

Datamines > Random Twitter Insider any day of the week. Especially because it already nailed Peach Gardens and Merry Mountain. That tweet won't age well.

My guess is it releases a bit before the holidays proper for marketing reasons. Although NGL a Christmas Day launch for new MK8DX content would make it the coziest one since my childhood.

I guess the argument against this would be that music might not necessarily significantly completeness, considering that we already (supposedly) know two tracks from wave 6. It’s not entirely impossible that the leaked list for wave 3 was the intended track list from the outset, hence why all of the music is finished, but then later got changed around.

Regardless, Mondo backed this person in wave 2, and they ended up being 6/7 on the retro tracks, so I think they’re worth keeping an eye on, even if I don’t necessarily believe them just yet. Plus, it keeps hope alive that Vancouver might be a Wave 3 track, which would be lovely.

IF (and that's a gigantic IF) the music leak placement is inaccurate, that probably also means the datamined prefixes are inaccurate. So we'd be in unknown territory again.

Guess it’s not impossible that Waluigi Stadium is swapped with another GCN track, but if they’re moving tracks around then we’d probably have to toss the datamine leak regardless.

At the very least, the music and banner are still pretty much hard confirmation that those tracks will show up at some point, so we wouldn’t be flying completely blind.

Honestly, if it’s true, that’s for the best. Get at least some suspense involved.

Dunno how they would come across this type of info though.

Assuming that the number of prefixes hold (AKA we’re still getting 6 Wii tracks, and almost certainly Wii Rainbow Road) then I’d anticipate that 3DS Rainbow Road sticks around. The timing makes too much sense.

Beyond that? I’d guess that 3DS Rock Rock Mountain gets moved, and a Wii track takes its place. GCN Waluigi Stadium also seems to be moved, so I’m assuming another GCN tracks subs in for that too. After that, who knows. GBA Boo Lake could go either way, and the Tour city tracks could be swapped out for each other at will.

This is all taking the rumor as a given though, which I don’t fully intend to do unless Mondo corroborates this like last time.

Eh, I’d wait until Mondo comments. The twitter leaker didn’t get everything right last time, but still enough you can’t dismiss them.

I refuse to believe Rock Rock Mountain won’t culminate the Rock cup even if the only two 3DS tracks both being in this wave feels weird. It’s too perfect.

Maple Treeway would probably replace Wario Stadium if anything. Rock Rock Mountain is perfect for the Rock Cup.

The fact that they're not saying no means it's still in.
Do you really think they’d go three waves without a single GCN track? There’s gotta be one in this wave.

We're getting six waves. I don't think it matters too much at the end of the day. And if this leaker is legit, Wario Stadium isn't in this wave.

I know that this being true would mean no Waluigi Stadium. I just can’t imagine that Nintendo would go a full year without adding a single GCN track. That’s just silly, and I doubt a fun naming coincidence would deter them.

Rock Rock Mountain is such a nothing course, if there's any course I'd kick from the currently assumed wave 3 it'd be that one
