I think there is easy money for Nintendo in remaking games from their catalog, could be almost any game dating back to Nes. They are sitting on a cash cow. Remake the graphics and improvement to gameplay and even few extra levels if they wanted. Like imagine a remake of Mario bros 3 or Super Mario world? Zelda link to the past, donkey Kong country, Mario 64 , ocarina of time etc … you get he picture. They would sell based on nostalgia alone and for newcomers who have never experienced those games before.

It's not like they don't do this, it's just sparingly. Super Mario Bros. 3 and Ocarina of Time have already had full graphical remakes that were kind of a big deal. Link's Awakening is an obvious recent example. Graphics aside pretty much anytime something 5+ years old gets a port it gets notable new content.

Saleswise I'm not sure any of the full remakes besides Link's Awakening have sold nearly as well as their originals?

I had a dream the other day where TotK came out and so I opened the reviews thread but scrolled down directly to comments and people were saying stuff like “Sounds about right” and “Expected” and “I was afraid this was going to happen” and “oh well” so I promptly closed the thread and just kept playing the game, determined to enjoy it regardless of anything.

I have a 4K tv that automatically goes that that resolution if the video has 4K.

Just watched the Overwatch server die in real time, with all the modes slowly disappearing, then the option to find a game being taken away, leaving only people saying goodbye and fuck Activision in the general chat before this pops up. I'm actually a little sad - I adored Overwatch from 2016-2019 and coming back felt incredibly nostalgic.

Agreed. I'm still uncertain how unbound or dead space will run on the steam deck so I'll probably hold off on getting them

I would get Forza on the deck but it's still not cheap enough yet for me

For some reason, a lot of people are convinced that the game is Switch-bound (maybe they got it mixed up with Hard West, which actually is on the console), so exchanges like this happen pretty often on their Twitter:

I miss the Overwatch of 2016-2019. The game is almost unrecognizable to me at this point, and it is practically the antithesis of what I want out of a game.

I really liked your thread tbh! I play Pikmin Bloom pretty often but I don’t walk a lot (living in the suburbs, having a car) so it’d have been nice to chat about the game

That’s great, I wish I could have been able to play Pokémon go. It’s straight up useless where I’m at. I get a few occasional Pokémon and that’s it.
