What’s the protocol on that? My family had rona back in May and I think we probably should get jabbed again right about now. Is there like, an official word on how long to wait before you get a jab after getting the virus?
 
Trying to get my flu shot and booster at the same place, but the last time I did this my insurance wouldn't cover the flu shot for some reason, so I had to go elsewhere a week later... at which point it was covered.
 
Rolling my eyes because XBC3 is doing that thing that bugged the hell out of me in XBC2 where you do a boss fight and win comfortably and then the following cut scene is you getting your arse handed to you.

Cut scenes are great like, but it makes the fights feel like a waste of time.

More RPGs need to acknowledge when you crushed the boss or just squeaked by. It’s cool when it happens.

I'm going to miss the days of being able to be excited for a Switch port without some chuckefuck banging on about the Steam Deck. It's on par with the freaks who throw out "just play it on PC" like everyone owns/wants a capable PC.

I think it's 3 months, they ask you specifically when you sign up for a booster.

Well took quite a few tries( 13 in fact) but I completed my first little Noah run! Been enjoying chipping away at this at my own pace. Now a little picross puzzle to calm me before bed

I had the same thing. Covid booster covered but no flu shot. Sucks it’s so hard sometimes to even get basic preventative medicine here.

So Club chats are going to be a thing....

Clubs will have their own little exclusive message board on their club page (still visible to everyone).

In what situations might this be useful? I was thinking it would be great for organizing rosters and seeing if anybody's around for some multiplayer.

Any suggestions for how this can work best?

I feel like an exclusive message board is the main attraction right there. Social clubs have a place to chat and the gaming ones can organize co-op sessions and rosters/tournaments.

For the competitive ones, a way to ping the whole team or specific rosters would be cool. Maybe make both features a toggle for the team owner? Like pinging a whole team would be annoying if it’s a social club.

Edit: For example does Team JRPG need an email blast feature in the hands of everyone, probably not. The fighting game club though for example might be good for everyone to have where someone could be like “hey, anyone have Guilty Gear Strive and want to fight each other on Saturday?” If that ever got annoying, the club owner could disable the feature. Clubs that are kind of both could have an opt-in / opt-out box for that feature.

I know I'm late in saying this, but wow, what a banger general ST you've created here, @hologram! I'm so happy to have had the privilege of both getting to know you, and working alongside you, during this first third of my tenure as moderator. I know I've already conveyed this sentiment to you before, both publicly and privately, but what the hell? It's not like I could ever praise you enough, mate. Thank you for teaching me so much!

As for the big question of what I'd like to see from Fami's second year, I know it's probably a boring answer, but I suppose I'd say I want what most folks do: for this place to maintain its welcoming atmosphere, and serve as an inclusive, positive, chill zone to talk about video games. We have room to grow, and we have room to implement exciting new features, but as I see it, the one thing we must always ensure we take good care to maintain is the vibe.

I think there's lots of potential for clubs to be really neat, so thank you for all your work in implementing / tweaking them! As for what I'd desire from the chat function, I think it's only natural that, in time, each club will end up developing its own means of drawing what it needs out of such a feature. Do folks want to be able to casually share gifs, memes, and shitposts? Rad. Would they prefer to use it to organize games? Also perfectly acceptable. Does the club creator want to make it a habit to post a cool quote from a different video game character, every 24 hours? Why not? The sky's the limit! The feature's versatility is its strength.

So, I totally missed Nintendo Europe/Germany re-doing the whole digital (first party only so far?) purchase thing/process/interface, now it's handled via the My Nintendo Store?? (E: for Nintendo distributed/published titles, it seems?!)

I still can't believe BOTW2, Pikmin fucking 4, and most likely Detective Pikachu are all releasing next year. It's like the holy trifecta of MIA Switch games. All we need is Metroid Prime 4 and all the MIA games of the Switch Era are accounted for (SMTV, Bayonetta 3, BOTW2, Pikmin 4, Detective Pikachu, Metroid Prime 4).
 
My personal plan for 2022/2023 as it looks now.

2022 - Bayonetta 3 with eshop- ticket. Waiting for christmas/ new years sale in hope of reduced price for Mario Golf, Mario Strikers, SMT V, Persona 5, Triangle Strategy, NMH 3 and some others.

2023 i will buy Zelda Totk, Hollow Knight Silksong and forbidden wizard game. Waiting for 50% sale on Resident Evil Cloud Versions (And open for any good sale). Hoping for announcement of Metroid Prime, Mass Effect and Batman Arkham Trilogys ( and that fabled Halo ports KingZell mentioned years ago - Lol).


Switch is awesome!

Is there anything new to be said/discussed about Nintendo and smartphones? I’d be open to a new angle.

The othet stuff sounds fun though, mostly interested in the acessory and the musician.
 
I already know Rune Factory 5 is going to be my most played game this year, I’ve gotten so addicted to taking care of my soil so I can grow better crops.

And that is why I’m going to avoid Railgrade and Factorio like the plague.

Only in MiA can a town offering their literal flesh to their destroyer can be considered somewhat heartwarming. But hey floofy Faputa as new party member balances it out. Kinda.

I ended up really liking everyone in the city, Maa and Vueko especially. For all the fucked up shit that happens during the fundation of the City, the relationship between Vueko and Irumyuui was so pure and emotional and the closure to their arc was special.

Now to waiting another 5 years for a follow up.

Yay New thread! Yay BMO! I finally could feed & pet some cute little raccoons as my birthday Gift from my sister. It was so goood😭. I love them so much & one time, when I will have an appartement with a big ass garden I will hopefully have 2 sweet raccoons as pets & tread them as queens, Cuz that's what they are.

Btw. Even If I don't write that much (or at all) this community is really important to me & I hope I will loosen my fear a bit & I will write more, to show, how grateful I really am. Thank you, you beautiful people.
 
The new Gundam series is COMPLETELY different from what I imagined it to be after the prologue but it's still good in a very different way. Also yuri ship.

Vueko’s death especially hits hard. She forgot about the Curse because she’d been imprisoned for a long time, and she didn’t think she was human anymore. So yeah I’m also glad that Faputa and Vueko at least got closure, and affirmation that Vueko and Irumyuui really did love each other.

The Dreamcast lasted for 3 years on the market, the WiiU lasted for 6. Unless you're gonna count people making niche enthusiast software as being "on the market" in which case the N64 is allegedly getting a new retail release soon so I guess the N64 out lived almost every console on the market :p

Lol somehow I counted wrong, yet the Wii U didn't last for 6 years. It was released by the Nov 2012 and discontinued by Jan 2017. So that's around 4 years.

I thought the official guidance is "wait 3 months". Which is probably a combination of making sure the vaccine extends the immunity you already have and making sure the supply chain isn't overwhelmed by people who don't really need it yet.

So you should be good to go.

Theoretically you could get jabbed within a week after your symptoms/positive test, but most institutions suggest delaying your vaccination for 3 months since you should still have some immunity, plus supply chain problems for the vaccine itself.

Basically, yeah you can get another dose now.
 
I had been thinking for a while the first two weeks of October would be great for Nintendo news, but I hadn’t really considered this week probably mostly belongs to the Mario Movie. The second week has the first big DLC for Xenoblade, but there’s room for more. Seems like the second week is our best shot for the overdue Indie World this month or for a Prime Remastered announcement.
