@Derachi I am going to try and get the Yakuza games on steam deck now I am confirmed to be getting mine in Q4. If we still get them on switch in the future, I will buy them to show support still like I will continue to do with third party games on switch

13 sentinels was a joy. Might become one of the games I replay once I forget about the plot:ROFLMAO:
I've enjoyed it as well! I feel like we don't see that type of storytelling with multiple protagonists in games very often. Like, at first I wondered how everything could possibly connect, but as I kept playing more, things began to make more and more sense. It's really cool that the devs were able to make it work so well, no matter the order in which I chose to play everything.

3D Land is so underrated. My favorite 3D Mario. Special 8-Crown is HARD!!!
3D Land is underrated indeed. Give this game a HD Remake Nintendo... with 3D World graphics... would be so good with a normal controller.

3D Land > 3D World. It's just a tighter package imo and on a technical level 3D Land did a lot more with the hardware capabilities it had available.

But in the end of day they are both 10/10 games.

You need a dragontaur girl who’s primary move is swallowing your opponents whole and breathing lightning. I may have been influenced by the Kanna post
Well I do have an "eaten" status effect where your character takes heavy acid damage every turn but attacks do 3x damage, so that's probably something that I could do eventually.

Might just be a dragon though rather than a dragontaur girl

Was watching the last gunvolt channel episode and they confirmed Inti was going to present something (as usual), let's see if they deviate from Blaster Master and have something new

Whenever Nintendo drop their next system, I really, really hope they improve on the build quality/durability of their controllers. The joycon are especially shitty in that regard, and I have grown tired of swapping the thumb sticks every 8-10 months. Both pair of joycon I own are irredeemable without further investment, and at this point I am sick of it.

The procon isn't that much better either in terms of drifting. Which means I am now using my Switch pretty much exclusively in docked mode with an 8bitdo controller. I love the system, but the controller situation is pretty ridiculous, ngl.
As someone who mainly plays on handhelds I love the detachable nature of the joycon, breaking the controls on my handhelds has always been a chief worry when it comes to the systems. I agree though that for the next Switch Nintendo should go back to the drawing board and improve on them. Currently I'm getting ready to ship my joycon for repair due to drift (the left is just slightly there, but the right is drifting badly).

No one gets left behind or forgotten here

just noticed how this got dropped during all the WRPGs talk lol

That looks like my Switch home screen, just replace the last two games with 13 Sentinels and Capcom Fighting Collection.

Aria of Sorrow is an easy GOAT
Also didn't like Circle of the Moon too much tbh. But man Aria is so good, one of my favourite games of all time, Symphony of the Night too but I might like Aria even more. Thing is I love Alucard too much lol

Agreed. I like the joycons very much in theory and how they work and aside from fighting games, once you adapt to it, the split dpad is quite easy and second nature to me.

But just improve the build quality. At least for the sticks. Although considering the manufacturer has a monopoly on sticks for all three (which is why we see an uptick of drift also on Sony) we may be doomed unless Nintendo goes to someone else or does a radical change in stick design.

Terrible headache, so I've had to drop Live Alive for now. Gonna get some chicken shwarma for dinner though and watch The Birdcage so that'll theoretically give me the lift I need to finish the eighth chapter of Live Alive later tonight.

Ended up with a bad migraine myself

At least I had no issues with my hand today

Still very early goings in Xenoblade 3 but I'm finding myself liking the gameplay more than DE and WAY more than 2.
It just gets better and better, too. Around the time I thought I had a handle on it and it was getting a bit too rote, it exploded with more options. The beginning of the game is really well-done.

Oh man I cant wait to dive in, picking this up tomorrow. Hoping I can find some time to start this game… been waiting for so long and now I am so dam busy.

I already gushed about this in the RPGs ST but I feel like general needs to see the OGs of FF making musicks:

How does one get an image centered for a thread? I’m drafting up my ST and there’s one specific image that would work good centered and I can’t get it like that

So I finally finished Stranger Things…

It was good, but I just felt exhausted by the end of it. They really, really, reaaaally need to pare it down for the final season.

Finished Gunvolt 3. Overall a improvement of the previous 2 with the previous experience of IX. Kirin's moveset is a joy overall and the challenge was good. The only thing I wasn't really a fan is that some abilities are locked to the gacha instead of buying it /developing it like the past games, and unfortunately you can get repeated drops.

I can’t stop playing sea of thieves! Every weekend my brother and I hop on and end up having up to 5 hour sessions, with different friends joining in, us catching up more than we have in years. The game is so darn accessible but engaging, a perfect mix for multiplayer. Even just bought my first season pass since I was so far completed with it without even trying :)

Holy moly the last three days have been a whirlwind.

Since last weekend I had this terrible pain in my teeth; the dentist can't tell me what is wrong (there's no cavities or visible damage) and has referred me to a specialist who I can't see til mid August; in the meantime the pain got so unbearable they've had to put me on codeine which is strong shit. Thankfully, it hasn't hurt that bad now since the day before yesterday; I'm on antibiotics as well in case it's an infection, so maybe that is why it's subsiding.

My partner spent most of Friday looking after me, and making me traditional "when you're sick" Chinese meals. She is the best and I feel so, so lucky to have her.

And in the middle of all this Xenoblade 3 came out of course, which was a very welcome distraction!
The gf said she wanted to give me a "streamer experience" so she was my audience while I played. I can't drink cos of the amount of meds I'm on, but she's a teacher on holiday so she got good and tipsy and was endlessly entertained by the game's British VA, as English is her second language and her exposure to it til now has been almost entirely American and Australian English.

Gotta say, I absolutely love that the series has stuck with British accents, they feel like such a part of game's soul and style at this point, and in an industry where like 95% of English localization is in American accents, it's so refeshing. (No offense to any Americans here of course haha)

I did this a lot when making this thread:

Go to "Alignment" in the options up top
Select "Align Centre."

It works like a Word document alignment, basically.

It also lets you put text beside images, like I did with the 'STupendous League' image in the OP.

EDIT: Oh, already answered lol

Thanks. Just wanted one specific image that would have worked better centered compared to the rest.

Xenoblade 3 has one major flaw.

It’s too good and I can’t stop exploring. I’ve spent 10 hours doing anything but advancing the story and time just flew.

I'm a good 5 hours in so far but I felt like I might zero progress. And that's a great feeling. It's such a revitalizing experience that I've only experienced with BOTW last time around, just to see some sort of intriguing sight and immediately rushing over to discover the area surrounding it.

I’ve been gotten a lot more spam in my main gmail inbox lately, and almost all of them try to look like they’re from Nintendo saying I won a free Switch

I know I got slammed at the old place for championing reversable covers which weren't reverable to some because "no spine". Fuck it, when there are pictures on the inside, it's reversible and I love it! Here is XB3:
