I don’t know if they will add DK Pass. With snow-themed courses Snow Land, DK Summit (banner), Merry Mountain and Vancouver Velocity all but confirmed, I don’t think we really need another one. Especially since it would be another DK snow track and the Wii one is much more interesting.

For now I think it’s DS Luigi’s Mansion. It fits the release window more or less, and it is the second track in the cup meaning it is not a hard one. LM was a Mushroom Cup track so not really a hard one. And it covered a quiet unique theme, not yet covered in the DLC.

Like I mentioned before, there was an Easter egg cameo hidden in one of the banners. I placed it in Banner 4, right behind Bowser - it's our good friend Pionpi from Super Mario Land! Why Pionpi, you might ask? Well, @Clov was hyping them up and it was on my mind when I made the banner.

But my cameo spree hasn't ended there! Now there are eight cameos across the Wave 2 banners. A couple are a reference to my other threads, while the other six are references to posters in this thread. Can you find and identify them all?

Sunset Wilds and Sky Garden were my absolute faves in Super Circuit. While I'd played Mario Kart 64, Super Circuit was the first Kart game I owned and I absolutely adored it; it was also my first experience of the original SNES tracks, given you could unlock them. I'm ok with Sky Garden, but the little snippet of Snow Land does look better. I'd really hope that, if Sunset Wilds comes along, they do a good job.

Peach Gardens would be grand, as far as I'm concerned. I'll take it.
 
I am baffled why anyone thinks the next wave will be before Halloween, that would be less than 3 months after wave 2.
Besides, Japan's 'Halloween' is in the summer, so they could align ghost valley SNES in Wave 5 with that if they really wanted to.

I might change it up after Wave 2 releases, but my guesses for now:

The only two I’m feeling extra good about here, and why I’ll probably change some others, are Rock Rock Mountain (Rock Cup!) and Rainbow Road. Next in line, Delfino Square which is an excellent course I’d be surprised if it’s skipped over. I’m also feeling fairly good about Merry Mountain since this next wave will likely land in December and you get some holiday cheer synergy going. But! I’m going to be channeling energy into having this be a New Donk City themed track instead.

The Tour tracks are the hardest for me to predict since I don’t play the game. I had long predicted Los Angeles Laps for the Rock Cup (kinda desert-y dry in SoCal), so I’m sticking with it. Originally I thought New York Minute was a hard lock for Power Moon, but we have that in Wave 2. There appear to be a lot of Winter themed tracks and in the interest of spreading them out and continuing to hope we get a New Donk City course I’m rolling with Vancouver even if it’s self sabotage.

The GBA pick of Sunset Wilds I’m not terribly attached to. I picked it because it was leaked, but I’m considering changing it. I’m curious if Snow Land shifts the math on Vanilla Lake’s chances for SNES. If it doesn’t, I think Boo Lake / Broken Pier have a great shot at getting in. I’d love to see Lakeside Park, Shy Guy Beach, and a Bowser’s Castle make it in, but there’s few spots remaining. I’m also curious where GBA Rainbow Road fits in, if it is happening at all. Incidentally I’m kind of relieved it didn’t show up for now since I’m pretty nervous they’ll really capture the spirit of the course if it doesn’t have the proper bounce pads.

Finally I have no idea on the GameCube pick. I went with Daisy Cruiser for now, but I’m in no way attached to it. We know Waluigi Stadium is getting in which I’m very happy about, but I think they’ll space out the Waluigi tracks for now. I think/hope we’ll get Peach Beach and DK Mountain additionally.

I would add that Merry Mountain seems like an obvious fit for the ??? category since it's the only other Tour original besides Ninja Hideaway and Sky-High Sundae.

We’ve seen this before in the Smash DLC. After a long wait, we got Hero in late July and Banjo in early September. It’s certainly not out of the question that we see that again.

Out of curiosity, were the objects for Snow Land always in Tour, but we just didn't know what they were for? Or is that simply there due to Snow Land being added to the BCP?

Also wonder which datamined track name will end up being Sky-High Sundae.
 
...Okay but hold up a sec. "Kalimari" is supposed to be a portmanteau of the Kalahari Desert and the food calamari, right? Both of those have an "a" as the fourth letter. Why didn't they spell it "Kalamari?" Especially when the Japanese name of the course is just Japanese for "Dry Dry Desert". Weird.

Snow Land isn't actually datamined from Tour yet; it's just the only category I can really put it in.

There's probably a good reason why it hasn't been datamined though; doesn't seem like it has any unique objects. The penguins are used on other courses in Tour already (Rosalina's Ice World and RMX Vanilla Lake) so there's nothing to be found for Snow Land.

Yeah I think Merry Mountain will be one of the ??? courses. It wasn’t from the leaked the banner so it isn’t mentioned there.
 
Gotta wonder what next wave's WTF track is gonna be. Nobody saw Snow Land coming, and had it not been Wave 1 I highly doubt anyone would've predicted Shroom Ridge either.

GBA in particular feels primed for another surprise pick given how many options there are. Riverside Park and Boo Lake come to mind, and if they weren't already in/datamined for Tour, I'd say Yoshi Desert and Cheep Cheep Island as well.

I keep alternating between spelling it Kalimari and Kalamari so I’m right 50% of the time until I fully internalize the right spelling. Both spellings look right!

I think that with the platforms being known this is a fun guessing game. My guesses are mostly aligned with @xghost777 above, but I think it would be very cool if the Moon Cup were all night tracks. Peach Gardens is a real dartboard guess but I think it fits the "theme" a little bit better than Delfino.

Also feels inevitable that we'll get a GBA Bowser's Castle, so I threw one in as well. Reasoning for London Loop is similar to why I thought New York Minute would be in Wave 2, being that both tracks were early adds to Tour. I doubt we get through half of the BCP without seeing London Loop, although I certainly can't say I'm particularly enthused about it. On the plus side, the music should be kickass.
 
In retrospect it kinda blows that the two Rainbow Roads currently in 8DX are SNES and N64. SNES doesn't have anti-gravity and N64 doesn't really do much with it, and both courses are on the short side for Rainbow Roads on 8/DX, so they'd be fine coming in the BCP, while most other Rainbow Roads would have benefitted a lot more from having anti-gravity implemented, and a longer course would make for a better finish to the Lightning Cup.

DS Mario Circuit I can't see having too many fans rallying for it, but I also think it would be one of the most interesting Mario Circuits to include due to the difficulty of its layout. It was the 3rd track in MKDS's Star Cup after all.

I wouldn't rule out of posibility of Wii Rainbow Road having anti-gravity when it comes to 8 Deluxe and Tour.

Ooh an all night theme for the Moon Cup would be super cool! Mushroom City is a really good pick for that and is a very unique course with the intersection section. GameCube course selection in general is super interesting because the selection is wide open and most of the remaining tracks have big fan groups.

I like Peach Gardens a lot too (it was excellent in MK Wii especially) so that’d be a good pick. Sad we are down to so few DS tracks left. I’d love to see Delfino Square, Desert Hills, and Airship Fortress the most, but they can’t all fit.
 
I'm genuinely surprised that Delfino Square hasn't been added to Tour yet. It's one of the most iconic tracks out their considering that it was in both Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii, and it's a fan favorite at that. Feels like a no brainer addition, but it's absence in Tour is bizarre.

I'm hoping Rock Cup has GC DK Mountain, it would be fitting since you have to dodge falling boulders in the track.

The first GameCube track is leaked to be in the Moon Cup. Regardless, DK Mountain is pretty cool. I love blasting up towards the big frowning volcano and I like the ramps they added in the Wii version.

Rock Rock Mountain if in would have falling boulders to dodge.

I hope DK Mountain is one of the four GCN tracks that come (if it is only 4 remaining).

Waluigi Stadium was on the leaked banner, and I hope both Dino Dino Jungle and Daisy Cruiser come over. DK Mountain is the one I really hope takes that fourth spot.

I'm sorry but I never liked Mushroom Gorge. It's just this weird obnoxious track with bouncing in parts, just not fun for me. I know that's a super unpopular opinion but that's ok.
