Square Enix is definitely merging with PlayStation, just look at their marvelous job with the censorship on their Manga Up! platform

The censors kinda make the pictures seem lewder. Especially the one where a black bar is pasted on perfectly normal pants.

How annoying/time consuming would it be for me to:

1. Buy a Switch Lite to go with my regular Switch
2. Use my Switch Lite as a 2nd/on the go Switch (I hate the weight of the OG Switch)
3. delete some games on my regular Switch to play on the go
???

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I had similar plans. Then I looked at the Lite screen and sent it back. Now with the OLED Switch it is even harder to argue for the Lite. Yes it's lighter and more portable and cheaper. But I just couldn't accept the worse screen quality.

Oh damn, you don't need to play Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 2.

That may make me play Xenoblade Chronicles 3 after all.

Because honestly: I can't be arsed to "prepare" for Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Guten Morgen everyone, I am in the process of buying Springsteen tickets for next years shows. Today is round 1 for me. Ticketmaster has already given an Internal 500 error when I scrolled on the waiting lobby page 🙃 There are 2000+ people ahead in queue. I beg of ye to pray to Gods known and unknown that I am successful in making today and Friday fruitful to acquiring tickets seeing the Boss multiple times in 2023.

I’m resting my hand right now. My wrist started bothering me yesterday and I am taking a break from games for a while

Oi, genuine question. The vibes in the Xenoblade 3 thread got my cortisol up big time. Not what I'm used to here honestly. What about Xeno makes people so offensive/defensive?
Just been trying to figure this out. I completely understand why 2 is divisive, because my experience of it was a game with massive highs and enormously disappointing lows; but Xeno discourse brings out confrontational takes on all sorts of fronts. Really feels out of keeping with the ethos of the community and just enormously disappointing in a week when a critically acclaimed new entry in the series is releasing; you'd think that could be celebrated, really.

I owned the Lite and moved to the regular Switch for TV play. I don't mind the screen at all. The light would be an OG JRPG/Animal Crossing machine for me. The regular Switch would be for Splatoon/couch co-op/Newer JRPG's.

Xenoblade 2 discourse:

Never quite understood the complaints about the battle system as I see it not much different than turn based battle system except you can move you characters around the target. Unless you mean the complexity of 2 which you only really need for a few bosses/battles.

Over sexualization of the women characters. It can get pretty bad, especially 2.
Moin!

Tits, ass, and the game's resolution 😂
Funny thing: it's super obvious that Xeno 2's character designs were gratuitous right? That can be acknowledged, while respecting it's positive qualities. I'd think Fami would be the place where people could just shake hands on this.

And it's combat is obviously not for everyone (what is?), which isn't exactly an earth-shattering point of contention I'd say xD .

Agreed on both points. Also exactly why I stay away from the other threads. :D It's simple, really, but for some reason Xeno discourse always turns out to be complicated.

Who's dancing in his chair, spent an egregious amount of lifesavings on bullshit Ticketmaster """"service"""" fees, but is gonna see the Boss in 2023 😎

Alfonso Ribiero is on record that the Dancing in the Dark music video inspired Carlton's dancing in Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Oof, sorry to hear that bud. Like others have suggested, hopefully seeing a physical therapist or doctor of some kind just to ensure this doesn't become a lingering issue with age is likely for the best. Regardless, hope it clears up soon so you can game again!

Unfortunately the internet has a habit of accentuating the negative.

Hopefully so. For now, I am taking it easy and gaming is taking a back seat for a bit. When Xenoblade comes out, I won’t play it excessively

My hand is not bothering much today so far so that’s good. It really started yesterday

Playing some more Xenoblade Definitive Edition and, damn, every game with party members - outside of Pokemon-styled 'monster collecting' games - should have generous XP share between everyone. It's so nice not having to worry about whether X party member is the right level before I experiment with them.

The game's also just kinda... chill? I don't know, but now that I've got the hang of things and am taking my time, the routine of exploring -> side-questing -> doing a bit of story -> moving to a new area is just... nice lol

Think I'm actually gonna play through the series. This'll be my "marathon series," for this year, as the Halo and Yakuza games were last year.

If you do this, make sure to change the Lite to your primary Switch.

Your current switch is set as your primary console for your account. If you add another Switch (the Lite you're taking on the go), it will be non-primary, and you'll need internet access to start your games. If you swap them, you don't need internet connection for your lite.

You can change this from your user settings in the eShop. De-register your account from the home Switch, then log into the eShop with your account on the Lite. It will automatically be registered as your new primary Switch.

not annoying

I do this, and I switch back and forth constantly

I got ~500gb cards for both so I had a ton of room, but you can essentially set it up to auto-update your saves via the cloud

it’s more of a pain with Animal Crossing though, easier to keep it on one or the other

and with Pokémon there are no cloud saves but you can save transfer manually pretty quickly

I know a lot of people really liked DQXI but I found it a bit disappointing. The series peaked with V for me and nothing since has ever reached those highs again. Except DQIX, almost I guess, but differently.

What matters is the fraction of members that are active, I think.

IMHO
Yeah, like.. what percentage of users only joined to read

I don't think DQXI is as good as some people say it is, but it's a really solid JRPG nonetheless. Also the combat is really good, just because it's basic doesn't mean it's not great. The game does a lot with those simple building blocks

Well, we certainly agree in terms of simplicity/it being basic (which of course isn't inherently bad either, I also agree on that), but in DQ XI's case I simply ended up being bored after a while.
Pokemon mainline combat suffers the same way in my eyes, becoming more of an obstacle a few hours into the game instead of an engaging factor.

After Asano's turn based combat systems and what SMT/Persona offer, I can't help but get bored with more basic approaches like DQ's or Pokemon's. There have to be other redeeming qualities carrying the experiences in cases like those.

Been messing around with pixel art lately (because I just discovered GB Studio), and the question came to me-If Mario had had had an RPG for the original Gameboy, what would his overworld sprite look like? With only a 16 x16 pixel space to work with an 3 colors, making a detailed front facing mario sprite would be kind of a challenge. So I tried my hand at coming up with a design, and I think I did decent enough. I also made a Luigi sprite that's distinct from Mario, because Luigi's my boy.

Mr. Derachi,

If I wanted to try out the series, where would be a good place to start out?
Zero! Yakuza Zero is the perfect game to start with.

If you’re not a fan of action combat and VASTLY prefer turn-based, Like a Dragon is also a good place to start.
