My first thought when I saw @totofogo's thread...

If Sony did buy Square Enix Nintendo absolutely should poach talent and Dragon Quest. Team Asano is an obvious fit; not just because of the success of Switch, but because their model of producing games that are developed at external contractors means they already function like an external EPD group.

Plus, while they come up with new games, Nintendo could steal and or copy 2D-HD (UHD Pixel Engine let's gooo) and have Asano work on Golden Sun and EarthBound/Mother trilogy remakes...

Weird. I know they work differently from what I know, but the whole might thing surprises me. In general we’d say “we expect to deliver tomorrow”

Normally that’s how it works. The only reason what I can think off for this answer is that they are somehow understaffed, sorting machine being weird or some problems with certain routes, but that seems be out of the question
Yeah, it was weird. Could be that they couldn't give my girlfriend a definite answer because she called them while the package was still on the way back to the distribution center but I don't know.

I am exhausted, because as a chronically ill person, I decided to go book and food shopping after a short day at work. Ooph.

Need to recover so I can get some Live Alive time in today. Won't have Xenoblade 3 until Monday, so there's still time to complete Live Alive without rushing too much...

So I want your all’s opinion on this. My left hand has been feeling funny around the wrist and has been shaky randomly as well. I’ve been told to try and take a break from using it a lot since I’ve been playing games a lot lately so I probably should in case this develops into something worse

What do you all think? I may miss out on Xenoblade on launch day but I rather not have something bad happen with my left hand

This started a few days ago. I’ve been hesitant to tell anyone

@Plum inspired me to post this

As shocked as I am to say it taco bell was more pleasant than eating a bar of hard brown vomit
And you can't even escape it by trying other chocolate a lot of the time, because Hershey's secretly owns like 95% of all mainstream candy in the US or some high number like that, it's dumb. I remember trying a mint chip cadbury bar when I was in England and I had my mind blown

I play it super overly safe with my wrists/potential issues with nerves/joints etc because that shit can come to haunt you when you're older if you don't. Definitely take a break and see a doctor/physical therapist (the former can probably direct you to a PT) if that's financially an option for you. Chances are you just strained it though so just take it easy for starters games can wait.

I’ll see what I can do, thanks. I’ll at least take a break for now so it doesn’t get worse. It wasn’t all that great today was why I decided to take a break to begin with

Sucks I’ll have to miss on Xenoblade day but this is more important as I don’t want it to be a bigger issue

BitSummit in less than two weeks. It's basically a big indie games show largely Japanese talent but it's been increasingly getting international attention too.

PAX West and Tokyo Game Show are in September with about two weeks between them

Damn, that was some multi-reply you did there.

Takes me back to my own 2000s-style forum days.

That's right. We're bringing it back, y'all.

If Square Enix goes I think I'd give up mainstream video games and just play indie games on my Steam Deck going forward.

Annapurna is having a showcase on Thursday. Might be where the Switch port of The Outer Wilds finally shows up again.
thnx!

We recently went to the Maison Cailler in Broc where Cailler, the oldest chocolate brand that's still in existence, had their (afaik) second factory which has now been turned into a museum/visitor's center. It was quite fascinating but I've come to the conclusion, based on my lifelong experience with Swiss chocolate and my limited experience with Hershey's sicko shit, that the latter's conching process is fucked.

What's "conching", you ask? It's this:

No wait, I mean this:

chocolate-chocolate-tempering.gif

Which is basically a soft and slow process invented by Lindt that gives chocolate its colour, creaminess and distinct flavour. And since Hershey's has none of these, I can only assume that they don't do this or do it badly.

Kotor is one of my all time favorite games, y’all have no idea how much it means to me. I wonder what the hell is going down with the development of the remake right now for this to happen
Must be pretty bad! Hopefully they can somehow get their act together!

Haha, duuude! :ROFLMAO: If only we knew someone with chocolate in their name...

I'm Swiss and the first time I had chocolate in the US when I was ~9 years old was when someone asked me "do you like chocolate?" and gave me a Hershey's bar after I said yes, and I thought they were pranking me and had tricked me into eating soap. It was SO awkward.
Geez, that had to be pretty weird for you, haha! :ROFLMAO:

@Leica is right to be careful and all. I remember you were chopping a lot of wood lately and all. There are some good physical therapy-related YouTube channels out there with some things to try. This guy had some great tips to help with a neck spasm I had:

Bob and Brad are another pair you may search for on YouTube too with some great videos that could help too! Couldn't hurt to try some of these things while you rest it!

Thanks, I’ll try and give it a watch.

I have a decent tolerance for shit chocolate but hersheys bars are fucking ~spiteful~

Gonna be finishing this Xenoblade 2 playthrough either tomorrow or Thursday. Either way I’ll be ready at midnight on the 29th to start XB3. Today has been sidequest cleanup and I plan to finish all the quests for the blades I currently have without doing any more pulling. There’s always next playthrough for those leftover blades.

Ate Taco Bell alone in my car last night, can confirm

Poach Team Asano, DQ, and as much as I jokingly prattle on about my obsession with it, buy the Chrono IP. Seriously, a bunch of the CT team members are now with Monolith under the Ninty umbrella, and Mitsuda is obviously working well with Nintendo as well. I'm sure there'd be talk about Nintendo suddenly having "too many JRPG series" but, like, it'd just rule, okay?

Spicy Chicken Sandwich + Cajun Fries
Douse both of those things in their Blackened Ranch and that's my order.

how to acquire eating video games
By "eating video games" do you mean "video games about eating" or are you talking about the act of consuming a Switch cartridge?

...or are you talking about somehow eating the concept of video games?

how to acquisition of eat the concept of video game fresher the juicy
Ah

I have a decent tolerance for shit chocolate
I appreciate your tolerance

Genuinely surprised that someone beat me to posting an Ed Roth piece here.

Haha! :ROFLMAO: And I'm genuinely surprised you knew what that was, haha, much less the artist! Your temporary tattoos were garbage as a kid unless they were Rat Fink, haha! :ROFLMAO:

Just in the nick of time! I've got a much longer way to go than you, haha! You'll have to report back on the experience of playing through them!

I just spent 2 hours tonight listing and organizing STs and wow I didn't realize we had THAT many. I feel like I've just finished trying to help find something in my parents' attic. There's so much dust on some of these it's hard to read the title.

I actually played it back when it came out. This is my second, more thorough playthrough. My first one was maybe 85 hours or so, this one is currently at 115, not including the 25 hour playthrough of Torna I did between ch7 and 8. The game is pretty much just as good as I remember, maybe even a little better with the DLC included.

I hope you’re enjoying your time with it. I know it can be a little divisive but it’s easily one of my favorite RPGs.

Took some ibuprofen and the hand is feeling a little better. I am taking it easy on the video games for a while

Xenoblade will be taking a back seat

I've got my Steam Deck plugged in and downloading The Gunk and the fan will just randomly whir up to like PS4 levels. Fucking thing needs to chill.
