I keep thinking about how Shang-Chi would make a great Wuxia-style action RPG-series. We really need something like that.

I enjoyed Shang-Chi up til the moment it became a generic Marvel film. I actually haven't seen the Sonic movie yet, but I hear the fans enjoyed it.

8p ET / 5p PT is the "Marvel Studios Mega Panel." There's some other stuff like the MCU animation panel and such already but the actual MCU film panel is gonna be in about 4 hours.

Started Live Alive. I really like that the 2D-HD (or is that HD-2D?) visual style is starting to evolve more to suit each individual project. Obviously, that's especially apparent in Dragon Quest 3, but it's present here and in Triangle Strategy versus the start of the visual style in Octopath Traveler.

Honestly, if similar aesthetic adjustments were made, I'd be on board with Super Mario RPG 2D-HD and Camelot borrowing the and adapting the style for Golden Sun remakes...

I still want to hunt actual n64 games to own and this is going on the list
 
So this is the first time I've ever got the "good ending" on Sonic 2...and my opinion of the game has only gotten worse over time. I think Sonic 1 and 3 beat the crap out of it. The last half of Sonic 2 zones just kinda suck. Both of the final bosses are only threats because of the lack of rings, the patterns are basic as hell.
 
I was looking at my 3DS eshop games and saw that I have Bit Trip Saga and I am so freaking excited now

I played Beat and Core back in the day, and I played Runner to death, but none of the other ones.

I wouldn’t say the first one beats it because most of the levels in that game are just painful, but the same can be said about 2. CD was comfy, but a bit short. 3 is just the best one all around imo. But then Mania is better than 3 in a lot of ways.

I hope it'll play well on the Switch, Xcom 2 was a bit of a mess technically. Even if it wasn't a deal breaker, the unlocked framerate gave me headaches multiple times.
 
Ah fuck, they’re making a Marvel Zombies show? That’s gonna be the first thing from the MCU that I’m not gonna watch. I don’t like zombies, and I hated the zombies What If? episode.
 
Tested positive for covid a few days ago and besides mild cold symptoms, i woke up today with no sense of taste or smell. I also have this awful metallic taste in my mouth, it feels like my saliva is burning or something, Jesus it's awful. I looked it up and apparently that can persist for months after the infection ugh

Marvel's SDCC livestream just ended, right before their big panel.

Does anyone know if there'll be a way to stream the panel? Articles leading up to today said there would be but... uh...

Happy weekend, everyone. I heard there are already X3 leaks out in the wild. Just a few more days... In the meantime, I have been playing a lot of Slay the Spire the last few days.
