Here's a funny thing. I bought Nier on Xbox ages ago before it hit game pass and still never played it lolBest thing to come out of this for me was a Live A Live demo. I'll definitely play that

Lol I thought the same. I was like didn’t you just say focus on this yearI liked how they said "We will focus on software coming out later this year" and then the next 4~5 projects were all 2023 stuff lol.
Yea, something really has to be coming in July from NintendoThis direct is even more baffling. Take what we had and add in Metroid Prime Remaster, Bayonetta 3, Mario Kart dlc, Splatoon trailer, another announcement and call it a Mini
Very strange behavior. If we had all of these 1st parties, then I would honestly say this was a strong Direct because none of the third parties here looked like shovelware or anything, there just weren't many that personally excited me. Plenty of solid announcements thoughThis direct is even more baffling. No idea why this couldn't have just been a general direct with the games you mentioned. This direct is even more baffling. Take what we had and add in Metroid Prime Remaster, Bayonetta 3, Mario Kart dlc, Splatoon trailer, another announcement and call it a Mini
NGL my hope was starting to waiver as well. I'm guessing that COVID pushed that project back. While a bunch of that isn't my thing, I can still admit that it was a really strong show.
Battle Network Collection was such an unexpected announcement. I thought we were well past any chance of it happening.
I love Rune Factory but my reaction to Harvestella was "wow, Rune Factory 5 but good !" lolI enjoyed the show a lot. So many games that catered to my taste. Doraemon SOS, Harvestella, that Disney game, Persona, and a bunch of others. Enjoyed that more than some of the general directs.
That felt like a typical E3 Direct minus the first party announcements to me.So will the eventual main direct be extremely light on third parties? Or is there really that much more to come
If there's a first-party showcase in July, then they could have combined it with the Xenoblade Direct and this Partner Showcase and had a huge Direct. Why they decided to split everything up is a mystery to me, but I guess Nintendo likes to be weird and unreasonable. This direct is even more baffling. Take what we had and add in Metroid Prime Remaster, Bayonetta 3, Mario Kart dlc, Splatoon trailer, another announcement and call it a Mini
Makes a lot of sense. Updates on known titles, a few other small announcements for what’s coming this year. Save the rest for September. That felt like a typical E3 Direct minus the first party announcements to me.
Really believing the "First party mini coming in July" theory, you can tell it was what they planned as their E3 direct before E3 got cancelled, I don't think they'll wait September to announce whatever first party announcements they had planned for this.
And then in September it'll be back to normal with a usual General Direct imo.
Also Disney Dreamlight Valley is a fucking outstanding idea and I’m shocked it wasn’t done sooner.
This is why I love Nintendo, when do we think we got them predicted they always do something weird. Betting on that Mini in July. Makes too much sense. That felt like a typical E3 Direct minus the first party announcements to me.
