What can I say? I love FFXIII

If I knew how to make memes I’d make one of Drake rejecting Xenoblade 3 and pointing to Final Fantasy XIII Remastered

Don't really care about FF13 on the Switch specifically as I own it twice on other platforms, but I would 100 times out of 100 give up Xenoblade 3 for another turn-based FF game with a similar combat system and game structure.

FFXIII isn’t available on any modern platforms besides PC and Xbox BC, and my PC recently died. And I don’t have an Xbox. It doesn’t have to come to Switch, PS5 is also acceptable! Lol

Gotta say, between the speed at which this thread is going and an actually relatively serious conflict that has arisen between me and a friend, this day’s just blown by! Let’s see how tomorrow goes

I would absolutely take an FF13 port, I have a probably irrational love for that game, too. I think it goes to show that if I really love a battle system, I'm much more likely to overlook other flaws in a game. While the opposite is also true (like FF7R)

It does have to come to Switch for me. I have bought all three games for PS3 but couldn't finish any of them as I lacked time. They're around 130 hours total, ill suited for a home console.

The only way I am playing Final Fantasy XIII is if they have QOL improvements that speed the game up. No way am I putting 55+ hours into another playthrough of a game where I have no clue what is going on.

I just watched some anime. Might do it again.

Spy X Family and Love After World Domination. Not sure what to watch next. Thinking Rising of the Shield Hero 2 but the first season was kinda bleh. Its saving grace was Kevin Penkin's soundtrack.
watch Ousama Ranking

People here like FF13? I played 1, great, and a little of 2, I ignored 3. I feel does games get waaaay too much hate. Are they perfect? No. Are they gloried hallways? Yes. But the paradigm systems is really interesting. Still surprise no one has taken that blue print. Its still turn based, maybe a DQ game who knows.

Anyway a port would be cool. Day 1 for me.

A couple nights ago I had a dream about the supposed summer direct; it had a skit that harkened back to 2013-15 E3 skits. There was also an open world Mii game being showcased as well. Was pretty surreal.

I only have one question; would Bayonetta 3 qualify for a partner showcase as a Nintendo published and potentially co-developed game, or probably not gonna be there?
Tbh i would think anything other than 1st party games count. So platinum, Square, capcom etc. So a partner showcase could be really good if all the stops were pulled out.

I like 1 its just to slow for its own good. I.love 2 and 3 needed some balancing tbh the final boss is impossible unless you do one specific reaction and i spent hours could never pull it off as it just endlessly repeats.

That's the thing, a Partner COULD be good if they really went all out with stuff like that. The ones we had in 2020 were just so hit and miss, mostly miss IMO

And I return to a surprise

Ahh, an aura in the air that I have not sensed in a long time, not since the fallout of July 2020

I believed such an aura was a thing of the past, but alas, here we are again

this land is tainted! purge it and salt the earth!

I just couldn't get myself to like it. probably the most visceral reactions I had to a game in years and I only spent $6 on it. lol

If Nintendo announces the Parter Direct at midnight between Sunday and Monday, that would really bring us back to 2020 lol

I guess if it's any consolation to me, I can go from mocking Persona port beggers for not getting their game to mocking them for their game not being worthy of a full direct. It's the small victories...
I can’t consider any victory that involves Persona 4 golden coming to switch. Gonna have to resist quote every post that praises that games writing.

I'd love Switch ports of Naruto Rise of a Ninja and Broken Bond, those Xbox 360 exclusives made by Ubisoft, but probably will never happen due to soundtrack rights... They used the original TV show music.

Where has Switchum been the last few days, y’all? In the midst of all this excitement, it’s weird that he’s not too active

What's with all the Final Fantasy talk? Isn't it a bit unrealistic to expect any more FF announcements so soon after the FF7 event?
Everything SE does unrealistic these days. They're announcing game after game and most of them actually on Switch. Multiple FF announcements at the Direct wouldn't surprise me at all.

We’re gonna get Final Fantasy 2 and that’s it. Won’t even be the pixel remaster, just the NES rom with a poor English translation.

This is one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen on the internet

Now I have a new wish for something that’ll never happen

An open world Wuhu Island game

Yeah the 2020 ones were during the pandemic. I'm sure they could do much better now.

Not totally unrealistic when we know multiple FF projects are left to be announced this year, most if not all Switch bound. I think one of the upcoming Dragon Quest games (not XII) is more likely for this presentation if SE have anything beyond Tactics Ogre, though.

I can guarantee the FF Tactics remaster will not be revealed here; but it will be revealed before the end of the year (Fall Direct feels like a possible candidate for that).

FFIX Remake is a huge mystery but it seems like the reveal will coincide with the full unveiling of the cartoon tie-in, and we don't know when that will be either.

Pixel Remaster console ports are still just a rumor and not undeniably leaked by a solid source like the others, but if console ports are coming they may choose to wait until a year after FFVI released on Steam.

That’s where I’m at. A partner direct could actually be really solid.

But historically that has not been the case. I’m staying optimistic though.

Yep. It's just like how a General direct full pf first party stuff can often be disappointing, at least to me, depending on what's in it.

I, for one, would feel much better about a back half schedule that may consist largely of Splatoon 3, Pokemon and Fire Emblem, if there's some worthy 3rd party goods to offset that.
