Some people have posted their predictions, I will share some unnanounced stuff I wish for:
New Donkey Kong
New Rhythm Paradise
Anything Dragon Quest
low to Mid-budget more experimental game akin to Tomodachi or something like Famicom Detective Club (read: unexpected smaller game)
Ribbit King

It feels like part of the Partner Showcase expectation is caused by the Nintendo Rumour Mill talking to itself and taking several things for granted:

"There's no E3 and the year is stacked, no need for first party announcements!"
"Nintendo only have Zelda and Metroid remasters to announce, they're not big enough for a Direct!"
"Why are they taking so long? Something has to be wrong, right? They wouldn't wait so long to do a June Direct?"
"Only a Xenoblade Direct? Suspicious, there can't be a full Direct next week"

Which of these things is actually true?

Also: I'm not saying that's what's happening in this thread. There is an element of this, I think; but this kind of logic seems more commonplace on Twitter and Discord servers.

Tomodachi World is easily one of my most anticipated possible Switch games

I'm always hoping for its appearance
Hey, Raccoon's look-a-like! I'm bored. Let's play a game!

Man I hated how those ungrateful little shitheads didn't thank me after I gave them stuff. Who else would knock your door just to drop couple of dishes of Omurice? (I literally dropped them on the floor just to watch them pick them up)

My favourite games of all time (only counting the best game of each series):

5) Tomodachi Life (3DS)
4) Super Mario Galaxy 2
3) Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania
2) Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
1) The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
I'll join in

5) Pokémon Silver
4) Mega Man 64
3) Mega Man Battle Network 2
2) TloZ: Wind Waker
1) Mega Man X

My favourite games of all time (only counting the best game of each series):

5) Tomodachi Life (3DS)
4) Super Mario Galaxy 2
3) Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania
2) Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
1) The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
For me it’s

5) Golden Sun: The Lost Age
4) Okami
3) Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
2) Final Fantasy IX
1) EarthBound

My favourite games of all time (only counting the best game of each series):

5) Tomodachi Life (3DS)
4) Super Mario Galaxy 2
3) Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania
2) Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
1) The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
5. Dragon Quest XI
4. Pokemon Black/White
3. Bayonetta 2
2. Breath of the Wild
1. Mario Odyssey

This was a lot harder than I thought it would be. For years I would refer to Paper Mario TTYD as my favorite game of all time. But when evaluating I realized that my list features more recent titles than I would have expected.

For someones as hated as Sakamoto after Other M he sure loves to produce banger after banger...
From everything I've read in regards to a "post-mortem" of sorts on Other M, he seems like the kind of guy who really needs some other strong-willed and grounded people to oppose his flights of fancy and temper his vision into something that's compelling.

Team Ninja unfortunately wasn't really able to oppose a lot of his more controversial decisions and demands on that game's development. It seems like Mercury Steam has had a lot more agency.

TBH, I don't care about a direct, just give me a twitter drop for something I'm interested in and I'm fine. All I need is one game announcement that I like and I'm happy. Going into a Direct all I'm hopping for is a single game that I want and I'll be happy, so if that came in a Twitter drop that would be all I need.
Yep. I just want Pikmin 4 announced. Although I would like to see a better showing of bayonetta 3. That last trailer they showed didn’t do it for me. I guess if metroid prime one remaster looks amazing it might be worth taking a look at. Also I do thinks it’s time for a new donkey Kong game. 2D or 3D… either way I’m down.

I hope we get a meaty sequel to Tomodachi. Like manually decorating whole apartments, hundreds of thousands of furniture instead of the ones that come with the room theme, manually directing a concert, a music maker instead of premade tracks, cooking food ourselves, big family houses with children having their own rooms, a mall on the island, a gym on the island, a police station on the island and ability to elect a mayor...

Give me all, Sakamoto-san!

Made some good posts!

That's what you've done :)

4) Super Mario Galaxy 2
3) Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania
2) Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
1) The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Best of each series:
5. Xenoblade
4. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
3. Chrono Trigger
2. Dragon Quest V
1. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

I might have another #3 to #5 depending on when you ask me.

Overall:
5. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
4. Chrono Trigger
3. Dragon Quest V
2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
1. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

I’m just gonna say Nintendo has, up until now, announced Switch hardware in early July, when they’ve had a Direct a month prior, in early June. With the Direct being at the very end of June, I don’t think it’s ridiculous to think they’re going to announce new hardware during the direct, especially if it’s hardware that would benefit from games being shown off that are taking advantage of the new system.

shouldnt we be seeing leaks and stuff then. like not direct pictures of the hardware but some sort of sign of an imminent reveal?

Okay this will be really difficult.
5) Higurashi as a whole (just finished this vn. I'm still crying lmao)
4) The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
3) Fire Emblem Three Houses (Echoes is at the same level tho)
2) Bravely Default 2
1) Persona 4 Golden
Nice to see someone else love Echoes! It's not common for someone have it as one of their favorites, but it's also right up there with Three Houses as my favorite FE.

Let Nintendo announce a full OS update that includes themes and groups accessible from the main home screen. I'm talking theme themes like 3DS did. Not just more basic colours; full games with background music (Pokemon Legends Arceus, Breath of the Wild) that rotate each time you turn on your Switch, or vibey aesthetics (sunsoaked palm trees, nighttime synthwave, arctic deserts, spooky mansions, space age expeditions, and so on with accompanying copyright free tunes), the return of badge arcade for further decorations, etc.

Now that's an announcement with some chest hair.

I’ll go with the ones that I keep coming back to or had me completely engrossed. Will also stick with one from a series to avoid Zelda/Mario overload

1) Link to the Past
2) Tetris (DS Version)
3) Rollercoaster Tycoon 2
4) Super Mario 64
5) Soul Caliber

Special mention to DQ9 and Red Dead Redemption.

If we are basing this off of series, then:

1) Legend of Zelda
2) Super Mario
3) Dragon Quest
4) Professor Layton
5) Smash Bros

Special mention to Picross, which isn’t really a series but has had amazing games.

The Switch OS is so silky smooth, I wouldn’t want anything to clog it up and slow it down

I would concede that point, but I'm just bored of dark theme and the eShop is still gummed up like molasses through a flour sieve. At least let there be a reason why it's so goshdarn slow when it can't even run music in the background 🙃

(alternatively, Switch Pro with more advance themes than OG Switch could do without sacrificing performance would honestly be a legit selling point for me)

Yeah I agree. I’d love just like, a wallpaper.

1. Super Smash Bros. Melee
2. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
3. Soul Calibur III: Arcade Edition
4. Pokemon Platinum
5. Fire Emblem Fates

Fifth spot goes to Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword instead if you count Fated as three separate games.

I’ll be honest. I made some folders and don’t even remember how to access them. Adding themes with actuslly movable icons would be mostly meaningless. All I would want is music.

Yeees! Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 is awesome!

Honestly same. I still have my Samus Returns theme on my 3DS and love turning it on just for that.

If I could get a full Dread or Prime 4 theme for my Switch... Wew
