When will the next Direct air?

And when he got one thing right, which was Sonic Origins, he used it to take a victory lap around the community and trashed us on his blog for daring to disbelieve him.

I honestly don't give a damn what he gets right or wrong at this point. Even if he may have a legit contact at Sega, he's a punk. 🤷‍♂️
 
I honestly don't believe the MonkEPD rumors in general. I kinda think Nintendo probably still views Retro and Tanabe as "the DKC guys" just as much as they're the Metroid Prime guys, and they're currently working on the latter, which means the former's gonna have to sit it out for awhile.

Wow poor dk fans then, they will be stuck here for a decade lol. I really dont think retro will be returning to dk, ever. After MP4 they will be getting prepared for mp5 assuming everything went as well as we hope for, and maybe trying again on a new ip/reviving another dead ip.
 
Xenoblade 3 gonna take me forever to beat.

I have about 90 hours on Xenoblade 1

And 200 on Xenoblade 2.

Torna I got 40 Hours

What kept me going in 2 was the combat and it had a more fun world to explore, plus more “unlockables”. As in grinding for skill trees and whatnot, I love doing that tedious work. I don’t why tho.
 
The stupid thing about Zippo's rumors is that they're way too basic and unspecific to actually mean anything. When Nate or Emily leak something they normally give a detail or two so that we can confirm them later (Stinky Horse in 3-4 Switch, red and blue hair in Fire Emblem, etc). Zippo just says "hey there's a new DK game I don't know what it actually is have fun" and dips. It's annoying. I can do the same exact thing in my sleep.

wouldn't be so sure about this... Donkey Kong is still Miyamoto's baby. It was always weird that they neglected one of their most important IP's that arguably got them where they are right now...

also why would they hire for a 2D game then? they already have a super talented 2D Mario Group and it wouldn't be the first time that they are working on 2 games simultaneously. Also Retro has no time to spare now that they are developing a modern 3D Action Adventure.

At least tell us what characters are in the game or gameplay. Just way too vague.

Nintendo gave Metroid to Team Ninja while Retro couldn't make a new entry, if Retro can't make a DK game and they want one they could give it back to EPD.

Well to be fair, mainline Metroid (which Other M is considered apart of) =/= Metroid Prime. The former is Sakamoto's thing and he was the lead for that. Metroid Prime itself was in limbo for years, until at least Tanabe got NLG to make MP Federation Force.
 
Is Andy Robinson someone that would know the nature of an upcoming Direct? I think the problem is people are reading too much into the tweet when he really could know nothing and just be saying he expects a Partner Direct based on nothing but personal opinion.

You could say the same with DK, it's not going to be a DK Returns 3. It's probably going to be a new series (or a standalone entry) there is no reason to think Nintendo thinks of Tanabe/Retro as the only ones that should make DK games.
 
I'm not really feeling a Friday announcement, for whatever reason. I think if it's announced this week, it'll be tomorrow. Otherwise, we're looking at Monday or Tuesday.
 
Jeff has made it pretty clear he doesn't have a ton of info on Nintendo and Andy's tweet is clearly speculation. We know Nintendo has games they need to talk about soon, and Nate is confident. Begging y'all to take a chill pill for like 20 minutes.
 
Has any game from EPD Tokyo every had a rumor before it was revealed? I don’t remember Super Mario Galaxy or Galaxy 2 having rumors. Captain Toad was never rumored. Super Mario Odyssey was never rumored.

I think at least this fits with Emily or Nate having no clue what EPD Tokyo is working on or what kind of game it is. Nintendo is very good at keeping EPD Tokyo’s game a secret.

Also... the Donkey Kong ride they are planning for Nintendo World. One could argue that Donkey Kong is simply just a mainstream character which he is... but I think Nintendo would want to capitalize on it with a new game.

What I am trying to say is:

Part of me wants an Admiral Direct now.

The other part is trying to wield Star Fox into existence. General Direct = General Pepper.

Remember when Switch was revealed, Odyssey was shown for 10 seconds and some people said that it's a autorunner? Good old times.

There’s your reassurance folks. Andy Robinson and Jeff are just speculating. Just stick it out with Nate saying to expect a General Direct.
