News Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct announced for June 22nd (broadcast over, Expansion Pass confirmed, see threadmarks)

Wha?!? But we have too much info already, easy skip for me because I want it too much already XD. Still expect a normal direct like next week tho. Been a while since we’ve had this kind of pairing

I think they might suddenly have surprise Direct announcements for previously 2022 dated games.

2020 doesn't 'count' for anything when it comes to Nintendo direct style, still think we will get a Direct next week. XC3 direct was planned way back probably for August but XC3 getting pushed forward has forced Nintendo to have two directs b2b , it's a special situation

But I think I might skip the Direct because of spoilers. Last time, they spoiled quite a lot in XC2 which I wish I didn't see.

Yeah, I'll be skipping it as well, want to go in as blind as possible.

No I don't think it is a special situation, as I think we would have gotten a Splatoon 3 direct instead of a Xenoblade 3 one.

You clearly remember it’s wrong. People think it spoils too much Sorayasaga had to tweet saying what being show is just a tip of an iceberg
 
I’ll watch it, but I fully expect at least a bit of story spoilers while doing so.

Also expecting a general next week. Nintendo is just getting 20 minutes worth of talking about a single game outside of the general

Cool, but I don't really need to see 20 minutes of Xenoblade 3, especially if it contains story bits. Will help with the pacing of the Nintendo Direct later.

It will mainly detail combat, systems, and some basic lore/backstory, probably to keep people up to speed with the essential stuff laid out in prior Xenoblade games (such as the concept of "ether").

Hmmmmm to watch or not to watch....I'm genuinely interested in this game but don't want many more spoilers.

If someone could rustle up a checklist of points in the direct I can watch where there isn't much spoiled in the way of story, they'd be a chum for life.

It's in the middle of my exam so I will miss it sadly but I'm excited to see Nintendo pushing XC3 this much

Glad for the Xenoblade lovers here :) . Was entertaining the idea of taking a chance on this now that the character designs have improved, but it's still super anime in tone and the combat system seems very much of the same sort so I'll probably pass.

Here's hoping for Zelder next week!

I dont get it, rumors are saying for an entire last month that we will have 3 directs, xeno 3, general and splatoon 3. Now that is getting to be true we have ppl cryng becouse this not the general, that was suppuse to come next week not this one?
 
I wonder if they will give an update on the SE pre-orders during or after the direct?
 
I’m not a XB fan myself but I know a few people who are and I’m super excited for them. I’m still going to watch it to see what’s new as that’s always fun to see.

I can’t wait for the direct :)

I think this Direct should be safe for people who haven't yet played Xenoblade 2 and DE. Especially for people who haven't played 2 and DE since they won't be able to formulate ideas about what's really going on...

Though I really think it's going to focus more on going over the game's systems and whatnot.

Pretty excited! I don’t know if I can resist watching this. Also, what’s up with number of people getting excited about XC3 taking up little to no time in the main Direct. It’s not like a new game announcement will take its slot. That simply isn’t how it works.

I just feel like they're going to reveal too much story. I've played both 1 and 2 multiple times. I'll probably cave and watch it anyways.

Since Azurda narrated 2's Direct, they should get Mr. Wild Ride to narrate this one to make things more exciting. Would increase sales by millions.

I haven't seen a single rumor like this
 
I'm bad at noticing details, so I think I can probably watch this without getting spoiled.

Internet discussion won't be safe though. Inevitably people will draw correct inferences from things that are in one shot for a few seconds which will be spoilers and everyone will talk about them as if the Direct said them explicitly.
