Is Waddle Dee a real insider? Cause if Endless Ocean 3 is actually coming. Fuck Yeah!!
Nooooo, that account was started by journalist Jon Cartwright as a way to show how fake insiders can create leak accounts that appear very accurate in hindsight by shotgunning all sorts of theories right before a Direct and then deleting all the posts that weren't correct once the Direct airs. He documented the whole process and only showed what he did after the account gained major traction and started being considered possibly legit. He's now posting from that account again to goof around and...

...it's working. 😂

Friday? It's saturday morning here.

Waddle dee knows It was a social experiment by Jon, who made an account to post fake leaks and see what would happen.

It doesn't make much sense to revive it once you know what it is, a fake account. So it's weird that he's using it.

He's just joking around. Poking that massive, insatiable Endless Ocean audience.

The only thing about the reboot that depresses me (besides the longer wait obviously) is that I really think Prime 4 could’ve benefitted from the early switch hype a lot. Not that the switch still isn’t doing great, but hopefully y’all know what I mean.

That potential feels like it’s lowering as time passes. I really hope it’s not dropping at the end of the life cycle when the hype is on switch next. At that point just pull a TP or BOTW with it.
I feel you on this, the good news though is that if they go with an Apple model where the cross-gen period is super long and the original Switch is supported and gradually phased out, hype for a Switch 1 and Switch 2 game will be the same essentially. That is to say, I don't personally expect first party games to be exclusive to Switch 2 for several years.

I'm not convinced Pikmin 4 is even being worked on in all honesty.
There's always been a Pikmin in development in some form since the original game; based on what Miyamoto said and the positioning of Pikmin as a core IP I expect the same is true now. Even if it's been through some reboots, I believe it's in development.

Didn't expect the discourse to be able to go from "lol how will this run on Switch" to "man the Switch version is so ugly" in the space of 24 hours. It took at least a few months for that to happen with Monster Hunter Rise.*

*jk. Hopefully this is a joke, and not a reflection of reality, right?

My eyes like what i saw in crisis core ffviir

but first i need to play neo world ends with you. I still have an unsealed copy waiting. :(

It aint selling 4 million units.Metroid as a franchise is lucky if it can push 2 million per game.Unless Prime 4 pulls a Fire Emblem Awakening it'll be a surprise if it pushes even 3 million much less 4.
i think that's such a boring bait. Worse than ''dread will struggle to surpass 1 million'' ''it might not reach pikmin 3 deluxe''

Crisis Core is an odd game for me. I got a PSP just to play it. It's pretty fun although some of the systems are weird, like the roulette which is also tied to your leveling. Story wise, it adds a bunch of characters that are shoehorned into the main FF VII plot which only tries to make the original story even more convoluted. I would have preferred just a simple tale about Zach, his friendship with and betrayal from Sephiroth, to his ultimate end saving Cloud. We get that but also didn't need plotlines where this Crisis Core original character was actually there the whole time!

i think that's such a boring troll.
Not trolling.I expect it to do fairly well but I'd be willing to bet actual money it doesn't sell 4 million+....because most switch games that aren't Mario,Zelda or Pokemon fail to sell that much.3 million isn't possible but you're literally delusional if you unironically expect prime 4 to do breath of the wild or Mario odyssey numbers.
The only way it's selling that way is if it massively grows Metroids audience overnight.

I dont think anyone here thinks it will do 20 to 30 million. The talk was always that it would be a sizable upgrade from the usual Troid sales, so 5 million does fit it quite nicely. MP4 selling 3 million would mean it sold less than dread which would be quite bad for nintendo considering they are making it out to be the series's flagship and etc etc.

I also dont think Retro would have expanded so much for such a game. The amount of money nintendo is blowing into this project probably doesnt fits with that too.

don't be rude, if you don't like a past just ignore it
Why are you being rude? Lots of people are excited for this coming to Switch.
How im being rude? If you're excited about the Switch version then my post won't change anything just ignore it and move alone. Im not against the game tbh It just i won't waste my money again after the bad ports of Chrono Cross and FF Crystal Chronicles

I have a feeling this direct will be one of the best yet. And now were only 12 days away

They better not drop a partner showcase all of the sudden though...

the only Crisis "Core" I am interested in playing is the next core RPG in the popular Pokemon series, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, coming to the Nintendo Switch for the first time in a vast open world format

I think the Switch dock renders the games 4k, not the games itself. That is what Bloomberg said before it was announced right? I don't think that really means anything.
Having the dock actively participate in rendering the image would be fairly counterproductive to the whole "switching" thing. Would be a huge technical feat to prevent games from just crashing when you pulled the system out. I expect Nintendo will probably largely stick to their current dock design, just beefed up as necessary to accommodate that hardware's needs.

Chrono Cross Switch port wasnt bad per se, the remaster was awful (performance wise) in all versions it even struggles on PS5 lol

Here are my Direct predictions. I'm excluding announced games apart from Zelda because I expect them to be there but I'm not sure how long of a look they'll get. I'm also excluding third parties. This is partially because I'm not interested in most or all of the games in the above categories and partially because I'm more interested in unannounced games.

Anyway, here are my predictions in the order I expect them to appear:

June

2D Mario (2022)
Metroid Prime 4 (2023)
Metroid Prime Remaster (2022)
Kirby DLC (2022)
Good-Feel project- Wario or Kirby-related (early 2023)
Pikmin 4 (mid 2023)
Full Zelda reveal (March 2023)

September

Fire Emblem (mid 2023)
Style Savvy (late 2023)
New IP
Nintendogs (mid 2023)
F-Zero (mid 2023)
NSO GB/GBC/GBA
Donkey Kong (late 2023)

February

Mario Kart 10 (late 2023)
Grezzo Project (September 2023)
3D Mario (late 2023)

My dream announcements. This is the perfect future lmao

If Prime 1 managed to sell almost 3M on the freaking GameCube and Dread surpassed it... i think Prime 4 will be a pretty successful game lulz. It doesn't have to achieve BOTW numbers.
Prime 4 is all but guaranteed to be the highest selling provided the game isn't a disaster

Prime 1 was bundled with the GCN in NA, that boosted quite a lot the sales numbers. Still beating Dread should be easy, Prime has always been more popular and Nintendo will push it a lot more

instead of a dang crisis core how about getting some stability core!!!! could do with some dang peace and quiet!!!!

As much as I would love this, there’s no chance. This list alone gives us 11 major new games for 2023, many of which would be considered system sellers. We aren’t gonna get a new Mario, new Mario Kart, new Zelda, new Donkey Kong, new Pikmin, new Fire Emblem, and a new Metroid Prime in the same year, on top of your other predictions and additional 3rd party support.

Hell, that list could cover 2023 and 2024 and I’d be pretty satisfied. That’s just too much for one year.

All it needs is a shadow drop of Advance Wars and it's probably my greatest direct of all time.

If we're talking dream announcements, its gotta be a new Custom Robo developed by Platinum followed by a new expansive Golden Sun developed by Monolith Soft with a Xenoblade crossover

A new 3D Mario would also be an actual realistic dream announcement too :)
