Pikmin 4 is a confirmed title? Did I miss some news there?
 
I wonder what the next set of Nintendo 64 games will be. Since Nintendo won’t add more maps to Mario Party Superstars. I hope we get Mario Party 1-3 (at least one of them) in the next batch. I think they’ll announce it at the direct.

Unless they're shadow dropping them, I doubt they'd go over already announced third party games. So no Metal Slug or Front Mission imo.

Third party announcements should be brand new. Announcements with highest possibility: Megaman, Mana, Tactics Ogre, FFT Remaster, Tomb Raider, Shadow Hearts, Humankind, Evil Dead 2, next Namco encore game (could be Baten Kaitos), Star Wars Battlefront 2 2005, Half Life or Left 4 Dead collections...

Anyone else feel like EPD 8 must have something to show off at the upcoming direct? They fished Odyssey in 2017 with very limited DLC. They obviously played a role in Bowser’s Fury, but it seems like NST at a minimum carried part of the load. Additionally, they were hiring for a 2D action game all the back in Oct’19. Yes, I get that COVID disrupted things, but just feels like a game has been complete by now. I still thank that game is a 2D Donkey Kong and that is will be announced at the upcoming direct with a October release date.

The 2D game hiring call for EPD 8 was August 2020.

EPD in Kyoto hired for a 2D game in October 2019, while EPD 8 hired for a 3D game at that time.

That would be extremely rad; I'd also be happy with ports of Canvas/Rainbow Curse and Mass Attack if there was a way to make that work.
 
I started speculating after the cyberspace embargo for Sonic Frontiers was listed was June 29th, a direct date, and it was a multiplatform game, then I realized that the "Switch 2" was about to be announced. I was right lol. Leave to SEGA to leak the Switch 2.

Metroid Prime Remastered might be my most anticipated reveal at the Direct for a couple reasons:

1) I became an enormous 2D Metroid fan last year in the leadup to Dread
2) I have never touched a Metroid Prime game
3) It could very well be one of the few unannounced titles revealed at the Direct that's actually coming this year

It’s great to see Metroid Prime is going to be a a brand new game for soo many people.

I’d bet Metroid 6 and Prime 4 existences that the very first screenshot has the SMT V protagonist photoshopped with a pretty bad job done because you can see some beautiful blank pixels around his hair.

Sadly, the textures in the other screenshots looks ugly enough to be a Fire Emblem on Switch.

Sprites look like Fire emblem.

Character models look like Three houses.

Not too hot on those character portrait but it’s a leak and blurry screenshot so can’t judge too much. Can’t really say much then that. Protagonist is probably a avatar too. Would be cool to just have a female lord for once solo but yeah right.

The NDA is from June 29th, the same day as the Direct, and Sonic is most associated with Nintendo. That is a theory that I have. We will see.
