Yeah, they expect to make $300m in just two years by re-selling older titles. I'm guessing Switch ports of Deus Ex are in the cards. Not only that HD duo, we might get the original games too.
They will remaster and package the most obscure games in any franchise and thats kinda of cool

I think Nintendo would rather, for example, take the charging cable or, heaven forbid, the dock out of the box to keep the price from getting too out of hand.
No HDMI cable included 😂😭

Probably justified as "the enthusiast who wants to buy this console, will likely already have their preferred 4K HDMI cable"

I'm willing to pay any price for Switch Pro. $1000, 2000 you name it. As long as they're willing to sell me one. Unlike some others. The you-know-who and their infernal handheld that I still can't buy.

Just finished Kirby and, holy shit, it feels so good to have a game just come out and be just fucking good. No caveats, no "well, I feel X could be improved." Just a neat 8-or-so hours of fun and not much else.

I feel like this game might have invigorated my love for gaming, and just 'me' in general. I don't care if that sounds corny. I just love this stupid, cute, joyful shit so much.
I think it was you that posted about being in a rut the other day, I didn’t get a chance to reply but I thought “they need Kirby” And this post makes me so happy to see :)

You joke, but that doesn't actually sound that wild to me. I can totally see the box including the console, Joy-Cons, straps and grip. They've already sold 100 million Switches, and most people who bought an OLED were existing Switch owners. As long as existing Docks/Cables are all forward compatible (and I don't see why they wouldn't be) this sounds pretty realistic. Pull an Apple and position it like an environmental thing or whatever.

Calling up on .hack// Fami.

I just got my hands on .hack//infection on the PS2. I've always been highly intrigued by this series and its premise. Infection in particular was something that sounded super cool when I read about it back in the early 00's, and in a way it feels like a dream come true to play it.

What am I getting myself into?
Pain in the ass difficulty if you don’t take your time

Lmao I just got a chance to watch that She Hulk trailer and Jesus it’s worse than the stills

Marvel seems pretty inconsistent these days huh
I feel so bad for the VFX artists. Marvel releases 3-5 movies a year and god knows how many shows like a factory assembly and the non-unionized, overworked, woefully underpaid VFX artists get shit for it. So many of my friends and I are getting hit with serious Marvel fatigue because the rate of output is just ludicrous. Doesn't feel like an event at all anymore, and the quality is just declining imo

Sorry for the mini rant lol

1000% agreed

The MCU just turned 14 so it makes sense that it's now in its awkward teenage phase where it's trying to figure out what it wants to be. Some of the stuff will work but most of it everyone will look back in embarrassment a few years down the line.

The only Marvel stuff I'm looking forward to right now is Across the Spider-Verse. Miss me with everything else.

No arguments. Dr Strange and Spiderman were fun, but Disney is pushing so much stuff out it can get overwhelming.

Luckily Rise of Skywalker did so bad that they pumped the brakes on a bunch of Star Wars projects

I mean, it does make sense. I probably have maybe four or five loose HDMI cables just hanging around, and really another three or four that are only in use just because I have the space on my TV stand to have various devices plugged in even if they haven't been touched in months or years haha.

I really hope the choice in HDMI 2.0 chip for the OLED dock was meant to make it forward compatible with future Switch iterations, hell by now I would have thought it meant it could output streaming services like Netflix, Disney+ and the rest in 4K from the dock to the TV even if the console itself (V1, V2 or OLED) can't render games in 4K.

MCU cant always win

But hey, if I can still get cool comic bookmovies I’ll be content

You say pump the brakes, but I swear I just saw a magazine cover talking about all of their Star Wars projects. The IP has become so overwhelming that I've barely wanted to touch the (very good) LEGO Skywalker Saga.

Can't even remember the last Marvel movie I saw. I think it was Ant-Man?

You're probably right, that dock having HDMI 2.0 was probably a future-proofing decision.

That would mean 0 announced new N64 games , direct soon 👀
Pokémon Snap is announced but not out.

They have shows coming out (which have been good), but from that interview Kathleen Kennedy did the other day it sounds like they are going back to the drawing board with all of their feature film plans.

That's probably smart, though I thought I heard from others that Boba Fett was underwhelming. I've been meaning to go back and watch Mandalorian, and Obi Wan at least has Ewan.

Mega Man Match and Dragon's Dogma 2 have been living in my head rent free since the leaks.

Only other things taking up as much space are Metroid Prime 4 and the EAD Donkey Kong game. LOL
I really hope Capcom gave Itsuno the budget Dragon's Dogma 2 deserves. DMCV cemented my love for Itsuno's work, clearly the best character action game since Bayonetta 2.

I have to say I disagree with the quality of MCU shows declining, because I feel like a good chunk of the pre-Phase 4 movies was average at best, anyway.

It’s the series that kinda killed it for me. Like two movies a year was fine, you sit twice in a theater for two hours, have mindless fun and go grab a drink afterwards. Pleasant experience. Having to sit through so many series just to understand a plot point in the next movie is not. Especially since Marvel fans love to spoil on Twitter any key or fun moment in the episode of the week, like minutes after it was uploaded online.

I lost interest in the MCU when it started being like the comic books and everything had to connect back and forth, etc, etc. things being injected just to connect.

It’s the reason why I always liked one off graphic novels or graphic novel series that would wrap up.

The MCU is the equivalent of Spanish telenovelas lol

I like it better when comic book movies are stand alone and do it’s own thing and get creative and it’s in its own vacuum universe.

At least Spanish telenovelas end after a year or two. This shit is like Days of our Lives.

And that’s my hot take for the day lol

I dig Guardians of The Galaxy, especially the second one. But that’s because I’m a big fan of James Gunn.

I want Star Fox to come back so badly. It’s low key one of my favorite video game series, I love Cube-era StarFox the best (Adventures and Assault)

I won't consider the Switch a success unless it gets brand new StarFox, F-Zero, Pikmin, Puzzle League, Rhythm Heaven, and Chibi Robo games. I HAVE SPOKEN

I get why people would feel a bit burnt out on the MCU; personally, as I do love the Marvel flicks, hope they will know how to pace themselves for the next few years. Feels like Covid is unleashing everything. Marvel should think about it.

On the other hand.. I like the characters and the sheer madness at times. But Marvel needs to think about the expanded universe and compare notes with the other Spidey

I was hoping to go watch Everything Everywhere All At Once tonight but I am definitely not well enough to do that.

Any other Fami folk seen it? And do any other Fami folk take themselves out for solo cinema trips?

Yes I saw it. It was a crazy ride to say the least.

Also, I'd say ~70% of my cinema trips are solo trips.

Not trying to dunk on anyone who likes Star Fox, but that's one series I'm okay with them leaving dormant until they have a really good idea for a new one. Unlike F-Zero, which hasn't had a major console game in 20 years and could use another entry, Star Fox keeps getting new games and none of them are the blow-out hit that fans want. Assault was fun, but criminally short, and the multiplayer didn't really do much for me. Command was interesting but not great. 64 3D was great but was just 64 again. Zero... I don't need to explain.

Like I'm not opposed to the series but I think it needs something more than "just another one of those" to really be the smash hit Nintendo wants that series to be.

Lucasfilm shelved literally two whole film trilogies in the past few years, and have been almost entirely feeding off the goodwill of The Mandalorian series. Yes, there are a lot of new series on the way, but there hasn't been near the deluge of Star Wars that we were initially going to get.

Yes and yes. Matter of fact, my last solo cinema trip was Everything Everywhere. And it was incredible. One of my favorite films in a long time.

I wish people were tired of DC films, meaning there were so many and of such high quality that people were just overwhelmed with greatness.
But alas, we only get a good one every other year.

I will try to watch Everything Everywhere in the next week or so. Regular cinema trips might break up the monotony of life as it is now, too.

Fun fact: F-Zero got more new entries after hitting its series sales peak than Star Fox.

So I managed to actually make a packaged build that works semi-decently, still has a few weird quirks that I'm not seeing in the editor. But now I have no idea how to upload it to github or where else to put it so I can share it with you knuckleheads.

Yar!
GitHub would probably work. Also you get version control on your source files which is always handy for almost any substantial coding project :)

It's good and just really well put together. Now go for 100%!

Let’s hope Deus Ex is released on switch so people can enjoy one of the best game soundtracks of all time. Listen to these!
I would have been very upset if you hadn't included The Synapse in that selection 🤘

Yes use GitHub!

And window AC installed. Now I just need to figure out a way to keep my screen door closed since I can’t open that window anymore.
Sigh it’s my last assignment and it’s due tomorrow, need to get my head together and finish it then I have 2 quiet weeks where I can do whatever. Should have a fun pics of my successful printed minis so far this Sunday. Planning to play a bunch of kirby
