Hey real quick to those of yall who have played Nier Automata:
is there anything special I have to do in Route B to get to Route C? Or is it the same as A to B where I just play through to the credits and then select the completed file? I just wanna know going in if there's anything that'll goof a future Route by doing or not doing (and I don't wanna look up guides because spoilers seem to be everywhere).

I've been working with Bellydrum to make Famiboards a more convenient place to find Nintendo news. A news ticker will be the first step to achieving that.

There are other cool ideas in consideration for this site. We had one idea that I believe people here would LOVE, and it would make people post less on other forums. It's one of those ideas where, posting on Famiboards over other boards will benefit you. (hint, hint) However, we're still weighing the pros and cons of this particular idea before we pursue it.

I watched this move over the weekend. It was alright. It's basically a knockoff Makoto Shinkai love story with music by Hiroyuki Sawano. Didn't really care much for the characters and the story doesn't really answer a lot of questions. But it is pretty. It's a decent watch if just for the visuals.

Yep. We get the natural ketchups and they are much better. Personal favorite is jalapeño catsup (I will use these names interchangeably for no particular reason).

Definitely in favour of the news ticker! I feel like if it can be customizable depending on news source as well (Kotaku, Eurogamer, Polygon, etc.) or by journalist as potential future options after the initial launch of the feature would also be well received.

Also interested in new features regardless to help make the forum stand out in comparison to others, so excited to hear more about it when the time is right!

I love spices, especially middle eastern and African cuisine and dishes that are built for it. But too many people think all food needs a million spices to be good, to which I say, you are just bad at cooking. Sometimes some salt, pepper and some lime or lemon is all you need (look at our Spanish cuisine YUM). Your food needs to stand out with its base ingredients plus salt, and then if spices can add anything to it, then go for it!

There is a lot of truth to this. I can make most dishes taste pretty good depending on flavor profile with one or two of salt, black pepper, smoke paprika, chipotle chile powder, cumin, cinnamon, or crushed red pepper flakes. If I need an herb, oregano is my other go to. Otherwise herbs are just a fragrant topping to me to entice the palate. Some recipe I see will have like 10-15 spices and that’s usually an indicator that it won’t be that good (though if I’m making a curry I go whole hog on different things).

They continue updates for NSO EP, but still refuse to let us know what the N64 game for May is 🙃

I sincerely hope they get back into their original schedule of announcing next month's game as they unlock the current N64 game of the month by the time they announce wave 2

How many N64 NSO games are remaining in Wave 1? Is it just Pokémon Snap and Kirby 64?

Perhaps possible to show this in several languages? Like people cant opt-in on a language and then it shows feeds from those places in their native language? Or you would focus only on English to keep it easy.

Great idea, but for the time being it will only be available in English. Sorry about that.

Yeah, it's just a 50/50 on which one is next; I'm just annoyed at the principle of announcements regarding the dripfeed 😋 At least it should theoretically mean that E3-ish time should see another half-dozen games revealed to guess what'll be next for the coming months until the next major NSO update

Oh yeah I had this on my planned list for a good while, although the rather mixed impressions have made me deprioritize it quite a bit, so I‘m not surprised to see you judge it like this. Kinda crazy that this is just an alright movie given the unbelievably stacked cast, what a shame.

New Sawano OST is still gonna force me to give it a 10/10.

Another issue: An auto-translator might not translate the headlines accurately.

Would it be possible to have a place to drop our preferred RSS feeds, or to edit which ones are displayed? It’d solve the language issue by letting users pick their news sources.

I think the issue is that they have a lot they need to get through in a 90 minute timespan. They need to set up the world, make up sympathize with the protagonist, introduce us to pretty sizable cast of characters, develop a love story. It just makes things feel rushed and underdeveloped. But it is pretty. Some of the later scenes are a treat for the eyes.

The music is good, albeit is very Sawano. I didn't know he was the composer when starting up the movie but with the very first scene, you absolutely know it's him.

It will be Wave Race 64 because I just replaced my long-lost copy of Wave Race with a new one (for a decent price, too) this weekend.

(Haha, j/k, it's gonna be Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, that seems most likely.)

Also, that news ticker idea is pretty cool!

Custom feeds would be an interesting idea for the future! I really like your idea. :)

But for now, the plan is to select a handful of major Nintendo sites and aggregate them into the news ticker. We can also lump a few general gaming sites into the ticker like Eurogamer, Gematsu, etc.

I’m so glad I didn’t get Nacho’s death spoiled for me… but even then I saw a screenshot of him tied up in the desert so I still somewhat expected it.
