I remember shitting on the Smackdown games on PS1 because the game had to pause to load every single new entrant into the Royal Rumble. No such issue on the N64!

On one hand?

I think P* realizes that if their endeavors into self-publishing are going to pay off, they're going to need at least one "GaaS" type of title to be a success for them.

But on the other?

...how do they go about it? Anarchy Reigns was something that was, honestly, ahead of its time, a decade ago. But it would take a lot to launch something like that today in what's now a very crowded space.

Hey folks, I have a question. Can stomach issues be a symptom of Covid? I woke up this morning and had nausea and dizziness, I threw up twice and have had multiple experiences with the other end if you get my meaning. I seem to remember hearing that the new variant could potentially manifest itself as a stomach bug. I am fully vaccinated and boosted, and so is my wife, and we havenโ€™t had an actual Covid scare where one of us has gotten sick for the whole pandemic.

I think theoretically it could be COVID but it's highly likely to be something else. Pretty much anything CAN be a symptom of COVID but rarely is.

I think you're fine, especially if you're boosted. Normally it wouldn't manifest like that in someone boosted. May as well take a test if you have one at home but I think you're fine.
 
Admittedly I'm still kind of sour on the idea of Mario Kart 9 when MK8D could realistically get some DLC tracks and still play fine, but

I realize now if Nintendo actually makes a competent online lobby with MK9, it could be a lot easier to gather your friends together in a private room and then join other random players (be even easier if they use their own features like online invites that Overcooked uses but not their own first party titles).

So yeah, if Mario Kart 9 actually has a substantially improved online offering in terms of features and connectivity that bring it on par with what was offered back in 2005, then I will allow myself to be hyped for it.

I don't understand why Nintendo can't just let you sort the deals in order of them going live. I know now to look at the releases and add to my watch list and check for sales that way. However, this will be the best solution until Nintendo stop being Nintendo so I appreciate the work this will entail guys.

I agree. It's currently a huge mess to sort through deals on the eShop. I always use Dekudeals to find the latest deals.

Man, looking back at Pokemon season 1, I don't think I've heard a better soundtrack for an anime since. From Viridian City, to the theme song, to the Pokerap. All bangers in my opinion.

the music in Arceus slaps pretty good especially given theโ€ฆ kinda lowkey weird way Pokรฉmon music can be

obviously we need to combine the footing they found in Arceus with a dash of the Paper Mario music team and a tiny bit more of the BotW sensibility

Nah, Famiboards came online after that Direct (not long after, it went up the last week of September iirc). The Direct happened during the transition phase

So this is the first time we'll be getting the full Famiboards Direct Experience (TM)

Ahh, I remember now! I remember the transition happening being right before or after the September Direct. Thanks for clarifying!
 
I haven't even been paying attention to any rumors other than the Direct itself.

It'd be wonderful if it was on Wed. Can go for a nice haircut and then come back fresh and prepared for excitement.
