Their headline for Sony's yesterday was even more of a choice...

king shit"our brand was built upon products crafted with dedication by our employees, and having a large number of people who don’t posses Nintendo DNA in our group would not be a plus to the company"
That sounds about right. Although aren't they concerned if hypothetically speaking, some Japanese 3rd party companies get acquired they lose out 3rd party support?king shit
What was that?Their headline for Sony's yesterday was even more of a choice...

Although I would imagine acquiring Japanese companies would be very difficult, almost impossible I guess?

just tells me they aren’t trying absorb groups - but they’re probably out there managing relations hardking shit
Iwata would’ve laughedFeel like that Furukawa quote is missing a laughs
Backwards compatibility?
Backwards compatibility?
The second tweet hurts
So we should get GB/GBC for Switch. I wonder if that’ll be the cutoff. Then next gen it continues with GBA, DS and maybe GC?Said it repeatedly but backwards-compatibility for the next hardware is in Nintendo's interests as much as its in their consumer's interests. I expect services like the subscription to carry over too, even if Nintendo reorganise it and rebrand it at some point (maybe they tie the retro content into a separate, more expensive sub outside of the basic subscription).
This is sort of what I'm expecting. GB + GBC in the expansion sub this year gives Nintendo dozens of titles to add into 2022 and 2023, by which time you're looking at somewhere around 300 titles on NSO (80 to 90 NES, 50 to 60 SNES, 50 to 60 Mega Drive, 30 to 40 N64, 70+ GB/GBC). The next tier would be something like the 'Advance pack' with GBA and GC at launch. For GC emulation to be feasible without too much manual work, they need more powerful hardware, and they can up the price of the subscription again. So we should get GB/GBC for Switch. I wonder if that’ll be the cutoff. Then next gen it continues with GBA, DS and maybe GC?
i wouldn't read too much into it. sadly metaverse/nft are buzzwords that the stock market loves so you won't hear a CEO of a huge corporation tell their investors fuck the metaverse. but that doesn't mean we're gonna see nintendo NFTs anytime soon. The second tweet hurts
I’ve got Nintendo DNA in me. Buy me Nintendo.
It was officially announced last year. Why do we need insiders when Nintendo can actually leak by themselves?
Wait what? Didn't they confirm Eiyuden Chronicle is coming to Switch successor, not for the current Switch? A change in plans, perhaps? Why do we need insiders when Nintendo can actually leak by themselves?

That's even better, I thought the spinoff is PC only. Good to find out.Eiyuden Chronicle Rising is a spinoff.

I believe they said it will release on whatever the main Nintendo console will be at the time of release.Wait what? Didn't they confirm Eiyuden Chronicle is coming to Switch successor, not for the current Switch? A change in plans, perhaps?
If you want to laugh just read this thread:
Like this quote. There's the oldish saying that McDonnell Douglas bought Boeing with their own money. The 737 MAX was the result.king shit
It doesn't take too much squinting to see that as a polite dismissal so the markets don't get pissy. Hopefully.Don't worry, we'll be long dead and buried by the time Nintendo gets around to it.
